He said this to himself while he, too, was leaving the city with all of his might as if he was being chased. Now that his power had improved, he was three times as fast, so he was able to leave the city far ahead of the others.

He went to the airship and started it up. Then he waited for the others to get on board before he made the airship rise up to gain altitude.

Throughout this process, he didn’t deactivate his Life Ability and put away the Shifting Armor. He kept it on for protection as he didn’t trust the people around him.

He didn’t want to be caught off guard the way that he was when Greg had suddenly attacked everyone. Besides, this was the battlefield, and anything could happen. So it was best to be prepared.

When the airship rose high enough, he controlled it to move towards the city. Then he began preparing the cannons to fire in the city.

While the cannons were being loaded with ammunition, he made the airship move around the city in a circle. This was to let it pick up speed, so that it would be easier for the airship to escape when enemies arrive.

He was sure that what he was about to do would anger the people of the Martial Body Sect, who never kill recruits for any reason, so he was preparing his exit strategy.

Even if he escaped now, he knew to prepare for future retribution from them because the last person who had started the massacre of a whole city had been ambushed by the Martial Body Sect in a rather unorthodox way that no one believed happened.

Even though he would incur the wrath of the Martial Body Sect by opening fire on the city, he was willing to do it for merit points. But before the cannons could finish loading, he saw an airship rushing towards them in the distance.

At any other time, the sight of an airship would make the people of the Four Directions Sect relax, as they are the ones who like using technology. But Loki knew that the people of the Martial Body Sect could use technology when they became desperate or angry enough, so he became wary of the airship.

The only reason he hadn’t chosen to run away immediately was that this airship was coming from behind, which is the area under the control of the Four Directions Sect. So it should be one of their allies.

An airship ridden by the Martial Body Sect and carrying their reinforcement should come from the sides or from the front, as those are the places where their posts are. The fact that this one is coming from the back suggested that it was an ally.

But Loki still didn’t relax. He took a pair of binoculars and used them to determine the identity of the people on the incoming airship.

When he saw little people without tattoos and some with bodies made of metal, he finally relaxed. Then he said to the other people, "It seems that we are allies. But I wonder what they are doing here. So let’s be cautious."

He didn’t call them, so he doesn’t know what they are here for. But he made up his mind to give them the city if they wanted it.

For now, he put a hold on his plans to fire on the city in favor of waiting for their allies and seeing what they are here for. As for his plan to make the airship pick up speed, that was still going on, and he even expedited the process by moving the throttle lever to the maximum.

A few seconds later, the airship arrived. Loki picked up the newly installed microphone and said into it, "What do you want?"

His voice boomed out of the two speakers attached to the hull of the airship. This was, he didn’t have to shout to get his question across to the other side.

The other airship also had a microphone and speaker system. Their captain used it to say, "Where is Greg?"

Loki replied, saying, "Greg is not here?"

"Then, what is his airship doing here if he is not here?" asked the captain.

Loki said, "He left it here after he left."

Then he said with impatience, "Is there going to be a problem? If what you want is the city, you can have it. I won’t fight you for it."

The captain said in reply, "Wait a minute. I want to confirm something first."

Just as the captain was saying this, he roared into the communication channel of the captains, saying, "Where the hell are you, Greg? Is all of this a joke to you? Do you think I won’t dare to kill you?"

The shouting got Amelia’s attention, who immediately said, "What is it? What is going on over there?"

The captain, Ivory, said, "It is Greg. He left the battlefield. He even left his airship and soldiers there without telling us why. I’m here now, and I don’t know what is going on or why he ran away."

Amelia, who cared a lot about this attack and wanted it to be successful, roared as she said, "Greg!!! Explain yourself now, or this whole small world will become too small to protect you."

They didn’t sympathize with him at all. If anything, they were hoping that their laughter would humiliate Greg even more.
