In order to prevent what just happened from happening again, he activated the Quadruple Mind Metac and used it to combine the Reversal Metac with the Telepathy Metac to protect his mind.

Then he prepared to kill himself by denoting his Energy Nexus. That way, he will be in control of his death and will be able to reverse time if the worst were to happen.

Lady Red noticed that his mind had become sturdier, but that only made her smile. She even said, "Interesting. I wonder what you just used to increase the defense of your mind. I didn’t know forgers could do something like that."

In response, Loki cursed inwardly and began contemplating reversing time now instead of waiting before it was too late.

After speaking, Lady Red began approaching him. She walked slowly towards and said, "I promise that I won’t take anything from you. I just want to see what you have that can be used to reinforce the mind. I’m just trying to satisfy my curiosity, I promise."

Just after speaking, a multicolored light flashed beside them. This multicolored light was coming from Amelia. It was coming from her forehead.

Amelia’s eyes were still closed, but a multicolored mark had appeared on her forehead. It was this mark that was producing the light.

Lady Red glanced at Amelia and smiled as she said, "It looks like she is doing well. That’s good to see. It appears I will have two great helpers for my quest."

Then she turned back to Loki and said, "Back to you. Let’s see what you have up your sleeve."

Immediately she said this, the mark on her head flashed. Then an invisible mental power surged from her head towards Loki.

The mental power was like a net. As this net surged towards Loki, she looked like a fisherman casting a net to catch fish. Loki’s mind was the fish this time.

Even though she was a forger and shouldn’t have any expertise with attacking the minds of others, the power of her mental attack was 5(Dao Status) × (5(Telekinesis Metac)× (5(Mind) + 90 Energy Well)) × (6 Mental World) × (500% Overdrive + 90% Energy Nexus), which is 84,075 units.

On the other side, the power of Loki’s mental defense was 4(Dao Status) × (4(Telepathy Metac) + 4(Reversal))× (4(Mind) +4(Mind) + 450% Energy Well) × (4(Mind Shield) × (300% Overdrive + 450% Energy Nexus), which is 12,000 units.

So even though he was ready this time, the net still latched onto his Mind Palace and began to drag the tiny holographic figure in his Mind Palace out of his body.

The best that all of his preparations could accomplish was block the net long enough for him to see the nature of the mental attack and how it worked. But it also gave him time to execute desperate actions.

Instead of letting her Mental World capture his mind, he decided to detonate it. He infused too much energy into the tiny holographic figure and caused it to explode. This caused his mind to shatter instantly.

The injury killed him immediately. So the Rewind Metac in Fenrir activated and took his consciousness away from his body.

As he was swept away into the River of Time, his mind was in shock as he said, "How can she be that powerful? She is not even a Mind Hunter. Yet, she can produce a mental attack with a power in the tens of thousands."

Then he remembered that she, too, hadn’t used her full power. So he said, "Damn it. That was just a casual mental attack on her part. She didn’t use a single Metac against me. That was all her natural power as a rank 5 being."

"If she had used one single Metac on me, she would definitely be more powerful. It is all because of the amplification from her Energy Well. It has gone from amplification by percentage to the full power. No wonder she is strong."

He can still remember the part of her power output in the bracket for her permanent stats. What should have been 90% had become 90. This is a hundred times increase in the amplification of her Energy Well.

There was also the presence of her Mental World in the attack. This and the full amplification of her energy well made him realize how he had lost to a forger in mental attacks, even though he had a pathway dedicated to mental attacks and had cheated by using two pathways.

As he thought of this, he clicked his tongue and said, "If a rank 5 being is so strong, how strong are divine beings?"

This is a question that he has an answer to. After all, he can still remember that large hand that descended from the sky to grab him.
