The Golem Mage-Chapter 419 : Encounter With an Evil Sect Bishop.
As Alec continued to feign sleep, he soon sensed a surge of powerful magical energy aimed at him.
Without needing further prompting, he knew the individuals that he had been awaiting had finally arrived, With a swift motion, he raised his hand.
[> Low Tier Spell – Stone Shield <]
[> Low Tier Spell – Rock Wall <]
Acting swiftly, Alec conjured a dual-layered defensive barrier, uncertain of the exact adversaries he was facing.
Opening his eyes, he witnessed a black beam shattering his stone shield, only to be halted by the rock wall he had summoned.
Alec instinctively extended his mental energy, scanning his surroundings to pinpoint the sources.
As It became evident to him that he was encircled from all sides, leaving no doubt about the identity of his assailants.
They were all members of the Evil sect, but one individual stood out amongst them – the imposing figure of the Bishop he had been searching for.
He might be one of the many Bishop of the evil sect but this is the particular Bishop of the Evil Sect that have placed the bounty on Alec's head, he stood tall and imposing, as he was draped in flowing robes of midnight black silk that shimmered with an otherworldly sheen.
The intricate patterns woven into the fabric seemed to writhe and twist in the light, depicting serpents, skulls, and flickering flames that seemed to dance before the eyes of those that stared at it.
He also wore a hood that concealed his face, casting deep shadows over their features and adding an air of mystery and menace to their presence.
From beneath the hood, the glint of dark eyes could be glimpsed, gleaming with a malevolent light that seemed to pierce through the darkness.
Dark, ornate jewellery adorned the Bishop's hands and neck, each piece intricately carved with symbols of dark magic runes and set with dark gems that seemed to pulse with a malevolent energy.
A scepter of blackened wood, adorned with twisted carvings and set with a large, crimson gem at its tip, was clasped firmly in one hand, a potent symbol of the Bishop's authority and power.
Leather boots with subtle embellishments adorned the Bishop's feet, their dark soles tapping lightly against the demonic beast he was flying on top
"So, you've finally revealed yourself?" Alec inquired as he dismissed the stone wall, assessing the number of adversaries encircling him.
"Don't bother counting, there are thirty mages accompanying the Bishop, all adorned with the Priest medallion signifying that they are peak tier 3 Mages, Forget about that cry baby priest we faced from before; he only ascended due to connections, These are the genuine priests From the Evil sect, evident from their formidable aura,"
The Spirit System Golem interjected as the Bishop maintained a fixed gaze on Alec who had quickly dragged the system spirit Golem into the pouch.

"When I first learned that a mage was hunting me, I expected them to be a formidable opponent, especially after they had wiped out an entire branch on countless occasions, But now that I stand face to face with you, all I see is that I have been overestimating you, as you are just a mere boy."
"Where are the rest of your team?, I know that students from the War God Mage Academy are trained like an army, which means you must have a backup team somewhere, I need to put an end to all of you and go back to my normal life," The Bishop demanded, tapping his scepter on the demonic beast he rode.
"How foolish can you be?, I have been taking out all the smaller branches connected to you, and as the boss of this region, you don't even know how many people were involved in the attacks?" Alec questioned, only to realize that his hired mount was under attack from multiple directions as the priest where in rage for the fact that he insulted their leader .
"Shit!" Alec cursed, understanding the true extent of their adversary's plan.
"No, that was not the agreement! Where is the bounty reward that I was promised?!" the rider screamed, his voice drowned out by the thirty mages launching attacks at his avian mount, making the outcome quite clear, as the large demonic beast hawk was hurt from such attack.
"Go get your bounty reward in hell, as I never intended to pay you anything in the first place, what were you expecting from the evil sect, and you boy can greet all my deacons that you killed while you're there,"
The Bishop declared, waving at Alec who seemed to have no recourse with the mount he was on plummeting from such a height.
Realizing that they were attempting to kill him with this treacherous ploy, Alec's expression remained unchanged, showing no fear as he continued to gaze steadily at the Bishop.
"Why does he still have that look in his eyes?" one of the priests who had joined the mission to kill Alec couldn't help but question, feeling unsettled by Alec's unwavering stare.
As they awaited the impact of the beast falling at a rapid pace, expecting Alec to perish along with it since a low-tier mage would not survive a fall from that far, they were shocked to see Alec stretch his hand before the beast crashed down, as it created a deafening bang that enveloped the surrounding area in a cloud of dust and smoke.
"Wait, is that it?, I was expecting some grand display or a challenge, what a disappointment, He died too quickly,"
The priest who had been unnerved by Alec's gaze remarked, attempting to cover his unease with bravado.
While the other priests chuckled at what they believed to be an easy kill, the Bishop's unwavering gaze remained fixed on the lingering smoke.
The reason he had placed a bounty on Alec was because he had been afraid.
He had heard of the trail of blood Alec left behind in his search for him, and despite his priests' celebration, he knew deep down that a mage who had caused him so much trouble would not meet his end so easily.
As the smoke began to dissipate, the first thing they all saw was Alec's still outstretched hand.
"He survived!" The Bishop exclaimed, his words slow and deliberate.
Alec remained suspended in the air just few meters from the ground , his legs still crossed in the sitting position, he had manipulated gravity to soften the impact of his fall.
He had also attempted to halt the descent of the injured demonic hawk after it had absorbed the combined attacks from the thirty priests.
But Alec soon realized the immense challenge of trying to lift such a heavy weight falling at high speed, so he focused solely on ensuring his own safety.
As the hawk mount and its rider were both obliterated upon impact with the ground.
First extending one leg to touch the blood-stained earth, Alec then set both feet down.
As his outstretched hand changed as he pointed his two fingers towards them still in the air, underwent as brown earth runes spiralled around the two fingers he extended.
"Take cover, defend yourselves!, He is about to attack! With an innate spell! " the Bishop warned, utilizing both hands to conjure black smoke for protection, enveloping himself and his aerial mount.
The other priests who had accompanied him swiftly began casting defensive spells based on their respective elements or special abilities.
Alec didn't release the Terran bullet he had conjured quickly, as a second and third bullet materialized in front of his finger, rotating at top speed.
The longer he held onto the three bullets, the faster they spun, creating a noticeable hum and causing Alec to steady his right hand with his left, as he was feeling the drag from pushing his innate abilities far.
"He has not finished casting his innate spell, This guy is trash who waste time with their innate spell, Attack him before he unleashes whatever he is preparing," another priest, who had finished setting up his own defensive spell, urged as he urged his demonic mount to charge towards Alec.
Upon observing this, Alec smirked, as there was now five bullets now swirling rapidly around his outstretched fingers.
"Release!" Alec silently mouthed, each word slowly as what followed after was repeated loud bang gunshots as he sent the Terran bullet hurtling towards the charging priests.
