Chapter 58: 58:Unwanted Entity

A void of endless darkness surrounded Kael, stretching in every direction like a bottomless abyss. He sat cross-legged in the nothingness, feeling a strange distortion in space, a sense of vagueness that made reality itself seem unstable.

His lips curled into a wide, unhinged grin, eyes gleaming with madness.

"It worked... It fucking worked!" he muttered, his voice trembling with excitement. The risk he took had paid off, and now, all that was left was to choose.

Opening his eyes, he saw them.

Orbs of pure, bright light, flickering and shifting like dying stars. Each one was a doorway, a path, a destiny waiting to be claimed.

Kael let out a manic laugh, his body shivering with adrenaline.

"Hohoho! So many choices!" he howled, throwing his head back.

Last time he was here, there had only been one flickering light belonging to the Warrior pathway. Now, the void was littered with floating, pulsing, glowing with strange energy orbs.

"Haa! Now, let’s grab a good one."Kael rubbed his palms with a greedy look.

Standing up, he walked towards the nearest one, his steps eerily silent in the empty space analyzing.

With a glance, he could feel its essence. "Baaah! Swordsman? Boring."

He scoffed and moved on. Archer. Mage. Runesmith. Tank. Healer. Assassin.

He dismissed each with a flick of his fingers, while looking around.

"Where the hell are the unique ones?" he grumbled, eyes darting wildly through the shimmering mass.

Then he spotted a blizzard classGunslinger. freeweɓnøvel.com

Kael tilted his head, scratching it like a madman. "Gunslinger? What the hell is that?"

"Slinger refers to throwing things but what is a Gun?"

Question marks arose in his mind but thinking about countless new innovations like trains and electricity, he shook his head.

"Now that I think about it. Why did we ride till here? Isn’t there a train somewhere?"

He shrugged his shoulder and walked past, uninterested. The brighter, bigger orbs at the end caught his attention. Those were different. They held something unknown, something hidden, something dangerous.

Unlike the others, these orbs refused to reveal themselves. His senses couldn’t grasp them. It was like staring into a fog, an empty promise of power with no clear answer. His fingers twitched with anticipation, but he held himself back. "Tsk... Hit or miss, huh?" he muttered, deciding to take his time.

But in the midst of this, he caught the sight of the different orb that gave him deja bu.

"What’s this?"

A lone orb.

Black as the abyss, pulsing with a sickly crimson glow. Unlike the others, this one wasn’t flickering—it was breathing. Kael’s grin faded, replaced by something twisted—a mix of terror and fascination. His chest tightened, his mind screamed at him to stay away, yet his body moved on its own.

His hand reached out drawn like a moth to the flame. The moment his fingers got close, the crimson glow stretched, twisting unnaturally. A single eye snapped open from the orb’s surface.

It was watching him.

"FOUND YOU!"

An inhuman voice guttural, filled with madness echoed startling him.

"WHAAATTT!" Kael jumped back, his heart hammering in his chest. His instincts screamed at him to run, but where? There was no escape, only the void.

Then, the orb erupted.

Darkness twisted, forming a grotesque humanoid figure.

Its mouth stretched into a huge wide grin, teeth sharp like broken glass. The eye remained, unblinking, boring into Kael’s soul. The air turned heavy, suffocating, filled with whispers he couldn’t understand.

Kael’s breath hitched. His mind raced and his lips trembled in shock.

"Just what the fuck is going on?!" he howled in confusion.

"This space is created by the consciousness of the universe itself, overseen by Akashic records and even Gods can’t enter it so what the hell is going on?"

Kael stared at the menacing figure, eyes wide with madness. The air around him twisted, warping like reality itself was breaking apart. A thick, dark mass of writhing energy burned everything in sight. Black flames ran wild, eating away at the void.

Then/a cruel, bone-chilling laughter.

"Kekekekekekek!"

The figure’s twisted mouth stretched into a wicked grin.

"I will devour you!"

"And then, I will take over your body and replace you....KekekekNx

"Hehehehe!"

Kael blinked.

A huge question mark might as well have floated above his head. His irritation boiled over, and he screamed—

"For fuck’s sake, bitch!"

His eye twitched as he pointed at the monster.

"What the hell even are you?!" He crossed his arms, tapping his chin like he was seriously considering something. Then, his lips curled into a wicked grin.

"More than that—didn’t your mama teach you some manners?" He paused, eyes lighting up as if he just had a revelation.

"Oh wait! Maybe she took one look at you and tossed your ugly ass straight into the trash can!"

"WHAT DID YOU SAYYYYY?!" The figure howled in rage, its voice shaking the entire space.

The void trembled, forming huge cracks.

From the figure’s core, a terrifying force erupted—a massive black hole formed, sucking in everything. Even the space itself ripped apart, collapsing into the abyss.

Kael planted his feet, trying to resist. But the pull was too strong.

"DAMN IT!" He gritted his teeth, struggling to stay in place. His arms flailed as his body slid toward the vortex.

His mind raced.

’ How the fuck do I stop this?! ’

He tried to use his power—nothing. The trial zone was a neutral zone. It didn’t matter how strong he was outside—here, he was just a regular, powerless dumbass.

"Fucking hell!" Kael cursed as he lost his footing. His body got dragged toward the abyss, spinning wildly. He reached out, grabbing at nothing.

"Meaningless," the figure sneered.

"Just let go and get sucked in."

"FUCK YOU!" Kael screamed showing his middle finger while flipping the bastard off as he flew straight toward the black hole.

Darkness surrounded him, encroaching from all sides.

"Haa!I haven’t even begun aura farming yet I am dying..."

He closed his eyes feeling his soul melting and erased but then he heard a soft familiar voice that shook his very soul to the core.

"It’s not a power born of this world..."

The words cut through the void.It sounded warm yet chilling, sending shivers down his spine.

"It was stolen from the Outer Gods..."

"And the one who did it... was you."

Before he could even process it, light erupted before him.

A hand shot out from the brightness and grabbed him, yanking him back.

Kael gasped, his mind spinning.

"Whatt?"
