Chapter 111: Chapter 108- Arriving at the Hundred Plants and Herb Dimension
Sol could see that Yoon-Jae was slightly upset, so he carefully said.
"He invited me to the Jeagal Clan, and during our conversation he claimed he wanted to be friends with me and even offered me a Core Martial Arts Technique from their Jeagal Clan. However, I chose a bow instead. He also gave me this." freewebnσvel.cøm
Sol slapped his storage bag and the manual he got from Dae-Hyun appeared in his hand.
Yoon-Jae glanced at the manual but then said with furrowed brows.
"You said you met with him, explain the entire meeting."
Sol paused. If he told Yoong-Jae about the meeting, and what happened back then with Dae-Hyun, some of his secrets would likely come up.
’Can I trust Brother Yoon-Jae?’
Seeing Sol’s hesitation, Yoon-Jae was unlike previous times when he would brush it off and didn’t push for answers.
"Aside from my Master, I am the only other person in the Academy—No, the entire Eastern Continent that you can trust Sol. No matter where you came from or who you turn out to be, you’ll still be my friend."
Sol’s heart was moved when he heard that, and his hesitation dwindled. A smile then slowly formed on his lips and his eyes became misty before he suddenly spread open his arms intending to hug Yoon-Jae. However, he was kept at arm’s length.
Rolling his eyes, Yoon-Jae commented half exasperated and half-amused.
"Why are you so emotional? Just spill all the crazy plans you came up with behind my back. Are people going to claim you’re the long-lost son of the Jeagal Clan Patriarch this time?"
Those words caused the emotional Sol to become stunned, and he suddenly gave Yoon-Jae a suspicious look while feeling that this new best friend of his knew more than he let on.
Perhaps it must have been eye-catching that Sol left during the Plum Blossom Gathering and came back knowing the third Grand Elder’s Movement Skill.
Sol smiled embarrassingly, before he then recounted his meeting with Dae-Hyun.
He also told Yoon-Jae about his theory of Wei-Sun’s true identity. However, when he reached that part, he hesitated on whether to reveal his Innate Dharma other strange ability for a moment but then he figured Yoon-Jae already knew about the oddity of his Innate Dharma when they had first met.
However, Sol didn’t reveal the possibility that he could take someone’s Innate Dharma, just that he had a peculiar ability to sense them.
During Sol’s retelling, Yoon-Jae would frown deeply at times. Especially at the part where Sol agreed to hand over half of his mid-grade medicinal plants and 1/3 of his high-grade ones.
"I knew it was something like this, why did you agree to that absurd deal? Are you really in need of Aether Stones? I’m rich so I can give you some if you want, just don’t go through with that deal."
Smiling, Sol shook his head and said.
"Don’t worry Brother Yoon-Jae, just because I agree I’d sell him half of my mid-grade medicinal plants and 1/3 of my high-grade ones, it doesn’t mean I’ll sell those exact numbers."
Sol’s smile then turned mischievous as he raised his brows.
He was finally able to share his thoughts with someone. Like a little kid that had pulled off a neat little trick but lacked any friends to brag about it with, Sol was dying inside. But things had changed, he now had an outlet since he came to trust Yoon-Jae.
Yoon-Jae couldn’t help but chuckle at Sol’s actions. But he soon thought of something and asked.
"Putting the Jeagal Clan aside. Did the other Clans approach you? What did you ask them for?"
With that, Sol confirmed that Yoon-Jae wasn’t any less smart than him!
His situation among the Clans was created partly unintentional, and partly purposeful; but more so purposeful.
With the Clans knowing Sol had the potential to copy their most guarded Core Martial Arts Techniques from their oblivious disciples, they would have disliked him. However, with the rumors going around that he was the mysterious second disciple of the Third Grand Elder, what could they do?
Even if the rumors were false, the fact that Sol learned the Movement Skill from the Grand Elder was a fact they couldn’t ignore.
So instead of using force, they rather use reason to solve this matter. Plus, besides the relationship Sol had with the Grand Elder, he was a talented disciple of the Martial Alliance Academy, who might be on par with Byeong-Ho!
What was even better was that he wasn’t from any of the Six Holy Sects or the Five Great Clans.
What if they could bring him over to their side?
Wouldn’t they have a genius on par Byeong-Ho?
It was only a win-win situation for Clans to resolve this peacefully and even show Sol a few benefits he could receive if he joined their side.
This was the current situation between Sol and the top Clans in the Academy Yoon-Jae had deduced during their conversation.
Sol nodded at Yoon-Jae’s question and then said.
"The Namgung Clan approached me right after the Jeagal Clan to offer me a Sword Skill. Then during the week leading up to today, the Tang Clan came and offered me a poison pill that could give me immunity to a thousand poisons, while the Peng Clan offered me a Saber Skill, and the Jieun Clan offered a knife-throwing Martial Art. I didn’t accept their gifts and just had them give me Aether Stones instead."
Sol counted on his fingers as he listed his Five Great Piggy-banks. After he was finished, he turned to look at Yoon-Jae with a broad smile on his face.
Yoon-Jae could only shake his head in response.
Sol was like a maiden that had suitors lining up to hand gifts over to her so that they could win her love. But will she really choose any of them?
"I suppose you’ve gained a small fortune from this, but did the Sects not approach you as well?"
Sol shook his head.
"I don’t quite understand them; do they not fear me learning their Martial Arts Techniques from their disciples?"
After thinking for a moment, Yoon-Jae said.
"I think it’s to be expected of them. They operate on different principles from the Five Great Clans. While the Clans would keep guard of their techniques, the Sects allow anyone to learn them if they join their Sect and have sufficient talent. They are Sects after all, who open their doors for disciples to enter and learn, unlike the Clans who close their doors to outsiders. In fact, I think they’re waiting for you to learn them so they can have some form of claim over you."
"Ah, so that’s how it is."
Sol now understood. But that didn’t mean he was deterred from learning a few of their Martial Arts Techniques.
After Sol and Yoon-Jae discussed for a bit more, Sol went to sit back down among the Alchemy Disciples, who immediately began bombarding him with all sorts of questions.
Sol happily answered all of their questions, while slowly getting to know a few of them.
Like this, a few hours passed, and the sun soon reached its zenith.
"We’re here! All disciples get ready to disembark!"
Sol jumped up and went to the edge of the ship to see where they were. Immediately, the sight of a large City filled with buildings stretching for miles on end greeted him.
Sol opened his mouth wide, completely taken aback by the scene. He never anticipated that so many people lived near the Hundred Plants and Herbs Dimension.
