The Growth of a Titan in the Cultivation World-Chapter 123 - 120- Okay, Let’s Hear Your Theory
Chapter 123: Chapter 120- Okay, Let’s Hear Your Theory
Maybe the person who came up with the trial couldn’t be bothered to fill these books with fake information?
But that wasn’t right, Sol thought that the whole point of this trial was to be as realistic as possible. Why would the person leave a book like this lying around to be found when the immersion of this place being real would be broken?
Still frowning, Sol picked up one book after another off the ground but all of them were blank. While holding a hand full of books, he picked up the last one and looked through it before saying grimly.
"They’re all blank. I don’t understand."
This must be what Yoon-Jae felt when he showed him the books a while ago.
Sol thought for a moment then decided to use his Heavenly Eyes.
However, all of a sudden, a frightening thought appeared in his mind, and it was akin to a thunderbolt flashing in the clear blue sky. It immediately made him stop what he was doing.
Then, like a horse taking off into a sprint, his heart began to speed up and the nervousness of being trapped here that was gone, returned in full force, slamming against his heart and mind.
’I understand now, Yoon-Jae was right... this place is real.’
Sol placed all the books he picked back onto the ground and then turned to leave while yelling excitedly.
"I need to show Brother Yoon-Jae this!"
Sol’s sudden excitement would have seemed extremely odd if one could read his mind, but if one were only keenly observing him, even at a close distance, then his sudden excitement seemed completely normal.
As Sol was sprinting through the door, he glanced at the handle of the door facing inside the office and saw that it was slightly bent.
Sol’s heart clenched at this sight, but he managed to keep calm as he left the office.
....
...
..
Three hours later...
"Sol!"
Yoon-Jae came barging into the room the woman was murdered in.
He looked around and saw that Sol was sitting on the ground next to a bookshelf with several piles of books around him.
Yoon-Jae frowned and walked over.
"I was looking for you, what are you doing in here?"
"I’m reading! And I was looking for you too, Brother Yoon-Jae."
"Yeah, I can see that you’re reading, but why do it in here? No, rather why are you reading right now? We only have a few hours before time runs out! Come, get up. I need you to search this place with me, I can’t do it by myself even after several hours."
Yoon-Jae went to pry Sol away from the books, but Sol resisted as he said.
"Ah! Brother Yoon-Jae, wait! Wait! I already figured out who the murderer is!"
Yoon-Jae stopped dragging Sol by the leg and looked at him suspiciously.
"You have?"
"Hm-hm, it’s the Nian Beast!"
"The what?"
Yoon-Jae let go of Sol’s foot and frowned.
Sol went into a cross-legged position and explained.
"Brother Yoon-Jae, just trust me. I know who did it, but we have to wait until the suppressive force around the bodies dissipates."
"How long will that take?"
"A few more hours."
After saying that, Sol saw Yoon-Jae’s frown deepen, but he hurriedly said.
"Brother Yoon-Jae here, why don’t I just read these books to you? I really think they’re interesting."
Yoon-Jae looked at Sol and sighed.
"Okay, I trust you."
Sol laughed.
"I trust you too Brother Yoon-Jae!"
Yoon-Jae looked at Sol weirdly when he heard that, but Sol suddenly looked down and began reading the contents of the book he had in his hand.
Meanwhile, Yoon-Jae reached for the sleeping Little Zeel nearby.
Little Zeel hadn’t woken up not even once, which worried not only Sol but Yoon-Jae as well.
While rubbing his green fur, Yoon-Jae listened to Sol read. However, he quickly realized he couldn’t understand a single thing Sol was saying.
Not that the language was unfamiliar, in fact, Yoon-Jae prided himself in being able to speak all the languages in the Eastern Continent, though that was thanks to his Master.
Rather than the language, it’s just that the terms and concepts Sol was reading about went straight over his head.
Yoon-Jae doubted Sol even know what he was reading about as well.
After a while, the exhaustion from looking around the palace and worrying about escaping this place overwhelmed Yoon-Jae and he soon dosed off to Sol reading.
....
...
..
"...Yoon-Jae? Brother Yoon-Jae? Brother Yoon-Jae!!"
"Wah-What’s wrong?! What happened?!"
Yoon-Jae leaped up off the ground with Little Zeel in hand and frantically looked around.
"It’s okay, it’s okay. You just fell asleep."
Yoon-Jae looked at Sol and then calmed down.
"How long was I asleep for?"
"Ten hours. You seem really tir-"
"What?! Ten hours?!"
Little Zeel stirred in Yoon-Jae’s hand when he yelled that.
Sol covered his ear with a bitter smile and then said.
"Brother Yoon-Jae, it’s alright, come with me. The suppressive auras around the bodies have mostly been dissipated."
Yoon-Jae glanced at the woman’s corpse, and he felt that was the case. He then followed Sol out the room, his feet dragging on the ground somewhat.
His eyes were slightly red, and it could be seen that he was dead tired. Ten hours of sleep was not enough to get rid of his exhaustion.
Soon the two reached the office and Sol left the door open for Yoon-Jae to enter.
After entering, Yoon-Jae lazily watched as Sol walked over to the two bodies in the middle of the room.
The suppressive force was still terrifying, but he still managed to push through it and reach the one in fancy clothes.
After Sol flipped him over, Yoon-Jae saw that he began searching his robes, after taking out what looked to be crumbled-up papers, he retreated.
"Hey, are you alright?"
Yoon-Jae asked with concern because Sol’s face was extremely pale.
"I’m fine Brother Yoon-Jae, don’t worry. Did you forget how strange my Innate Dharma is again?" freeweɓnovel-cøm
Yoon-Jae nodded but he suddenly paused and looked at Sol weirdly. Somehow, his words seemed strange.
This was the second time Yoon-Jae had this feeling.
However, Sol turned and moved towards the main desk. He approached Su Moon’s body and stepped into his suppressive force.
Afterward, he lifted Su Moon’s corpse and placed it in the corner of the office where the dragon mural was on the wall.
"What are you doing?"
Yoon-Jae asked as he saw Sol setting up the overturned chair before moving behind the desk where Su Moon was originally.
"I know who the murderer is, but first I need to go through what actually happened in here to make sure. We only have one last chance Brother Yoon-Jae, I don’t want my greed for this Legacy Inheritance to be the reason we are forever trapped here."
Yoon-Jae hearing this knew Sol was talking about his hasty actions of using up their first chance. After sighing, he walked over to the chair now positioned upright in front of the main desk and sat down.
"Okay, let’s hear your theory."
Sol smiled at Yoon-Jae before sitting down in Su Moon’s chair.
"First, let’s take out the evidence."
