The Happy Farmer Wanderer-Chapter 831: Blood Money
"What’s this? Just a phone? Brother, how out of the loop are you!"
Brother Hu bellowed with his beady eyes emanating a fierce aura.
"My smartphone has the account of my million fans, as well as lots of operation materials and live streaming content. Sure, it looks just like any other simple phone worth a few grand, but in reality, that damn thing is my life’s fortune!"
Li Qing was so shocked that he clicked his tongue repeatedly, "Is it really that exaggerated?"
The others around immediately chimed in, "Brother, our Brother Hu never talks nonsense, this is true."
"Not just Brother Hu, all of us are the same. Although we are a team, each of our accounts is different."
Li Qing, listening to their clamoring condemnation, had only one thought in his mind—he was going to mess them up badly.
This was extortion!
What they were pulling off almost made Li Qing feel like he could devour the heavens.
"Let’s keep it simple, how much do I need to compensate?" Li Qing asked.
"For me, it’s not a lot, just three million," Brother Hu said, stretching out his right hand and holding up three fingers.
"My account’s value is a bit lower, so I’ll take a million from you," another person said.
"Mine’s about the same, a million will do."
Li Qing looked at these guys in shock, wow, they were demanding a cool seven million just like that, impressive.
"Let’s talk over there," Li Qing said with a stony face and walked towards the somewhat dark square.
Brother Hu gave a look to his few lackeys, and the five of them furtively followed Li Qing.
"You’re asking for too much, there’s no way I can give you that much. At most, I can give you..." Li Qing stopped as he stood in a shadow at the corner. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶
But he was interrupted by Brother Hu before he could finish, "The amount is indeed substantial, and I haven’t extorted you one bit. Our life’s fortunes, it’s not excessive to value them at this price, right? If you really can’t come up with the money, here’s what we can do—I’ll give you a more flexible opportunity."
"Those two girls in your shop are quite good-looking. Find a way to get them into my bed, let me and the brothers have a bit of fun. I’ll knock off half a million for you. The rest, you scrape up however much you can. If you can’t come up with the full amount, I’ll write you an IOU and you can pay me back slowly. How’s that?"
"Brother, isn’t my offer already quite generous? If you still can’t manage it, then we’ll have to go about it another way, and I’d rather not make it unpleasant."
A thick murderous intent flashed through Li Qing’s eyes as he smirked and nodded, "The terms are indeed quite generous, but... I don’t like it!"
With a change in tone, Li Qing suddenly made his move, and as the words "I don’t like" left his lips, his palm, wide as a fan, had already slapped Brother Hu’s face, sending his hefty body, weighing over a hundred kilos, crashing to the ground like a felled ox.
"Ouch."
Brother Hu let out a cry, but before he could react, he suddenly felt an excruciating pain in his calf, followed by the sound of bone snapping ringing in his ears.
Brother Hu’s chubby cheeks instantly bloomed with redness that rapidly turned purple, "Hss—ah!!"
Large beads of sweat rolled down his face without warning, mingling with the greasy sheen.
After neatly felling Brother Hu with a slap and a kick, Li Qing swiftly shifted his body, grabbed the head of another person, and slammed it against the wall again and again, until the guy’s forehead was battered and bleeding profusely, completely unconscious, before flinging him to the ground.
It might sound like it took a while, but in reality, all of this happened in just a few short moments.
The other three, upon seeing this, each showed a look of horror and slowly backed away.
"Brother, we don’t want the money anymore, we don’t want it!"
One of them said frantically, waving his hands back and forth.
Li Qing’s mouth curved into a slight smirk, "But now I want your lives, what should we do about that?"
"Brother, please don’t, this is all just a misunderstanding!" the man hastily shouted.
Li Qing snorted heavily, and his figure suddenly appeared behind the three like a phantom. Swinging left and right, his palm rained down like drops of water, smacking the three guys to the point they were crying for their fathers and mothers, their cheeks visibly swelling up.
Li Qing watched coldly, continuously slapping them like a ruthless machine.
Slap slap slap slap, the parking lot echoed with crisp sounds, reminiscent of a madman clapping maniacally.
It wasn’t until the three guys had fainted, and after Li Qing kicked Brother Hu over, whose beady eyes were spinning crazily, that the brief battle ended.
With one in his left hand and another in his right, it took him two trips to move all five of these bastards into the ditch.
In the freezing cold of winter, the river had already frozen over.
Li Qing looked around to make sure there were no spectators, and then started to dig holes, swinging his arms.
After advancing to the Qi Cultivation Mid-stage, the shovel in his hand felt almost weightless.
He had just dug two holes when Brother Hu woke up first. Seeing the pitch-black night and the eerie silence around him, with only a flashlight shining, and Lin Qing swinging his arms digging holes, Brother Hu was instantly terrified, feeling as if his Three Souls and Seven Spirits were about to leap out of his body.
His lips trembled violently as he held his breath tightly, scrabbling towards the darkness not far away.
He had no idea where he was, but he knew what he was about to face. The pitch-dark and spine-chilling darkness actually gave Brother Hu a glimmer of hope at this moment.
He felt that as long as he reached that place, this ruthless bastard wouldn’t be able to catch him, and he might just survive.
"Where do you think you’re going?"
Suddenly, a haunting voice like a spectral whisper in the night sounded from behind him.
Brother Hu instantly froze like he had been hit by a freeze spell, lying stiff on the ground, his neck turning slowly and stiffly as he looked back at the mocking, yet incredibly cruel figure.
"Brother, I was wrong, I was wrong, please let me go," stammered Brother Hu, his voice trembling violently as if he had been resisting subzero temperatures for most of the night, his teeth chattering.
"You were indeed wrong, there’s no need to emphasize that," Li Qing responded as he walked over with a shovel on his shoulder and grabbed Brother Hu’s ankle. "Got any last words? Never mind, I don’t like to hear them, and you probably don’t have any."
"Brother, I’m willing to pay, to pay!" Brother Hu desperately yelled as he saw Li Qing about to drag him into the grave he had dug.
"How much are you willing to pay for your life?" Li Qing asked, but his actions didn’t stop.
"One hundred thousand, one hundred thousand, brother, I’ll give you one hundred thousand," Brother Hu cried urgently.
Li Qing suddenly turned around, "Are you kidding me? Although your wretched life might indeed only be worth that much, can you even give me one hundred thousand?"
He demanded seven million yet offered just one hundred thousand to save himself; was there a hole in this kid’s brain?
