Chapter 530: Chapter 530: Devilishly Charming and Unrestrained

Paige Sterling walked to the bow deck of the ship. The vessel was moving quickly, and the sea breeze was somewhat fierce, tousling Paige’s hair and inflating her clothes.

She squinted at the horizon ahead; it seemed calm at the moment, but who knew how many storms lay hidden beneath?

Paige stood motionless, like a statue in the humid sea air.

She didn’t know how long she’d been standing there. The bodyguard nearby was nearly stiff from the wind, yet Paige acted as if nothing was wrong.

The bodyguard wanted to remind Paige that she should return inside. If she stayed out much longer, something could happen to her, and Henry Hale would surely be angry.

However, just as he was about to approach, a man ascended from the other side of the stairs.

The man had dyed yellow hair, with a few strands of purple, and his shirt was unbuttoned down to his navel, giving him a wild and unrestrained appearance.

He walked up to Paige, a wicked and arrogant smile curling on his lips.

"What is Miss Sterling looking at?"

After that boxing match, it was likely no one on this ship didn’t know Paige Sterling.

Paige ignored the man, but he didn’t leave. Instead, he continued speaking.

"I admire Miss Sterling’s courage. Would you like to be friends?"

Having her peace disturbed made Paige very impatient. "I have no intention of getting to know you. Please leave me alone."

The man felt slighted by her rejection, and his face darkened.

"This is the first time I’ve met a woman who dares to speak to me like this, Miss Sterling. You’ve successfully caught my attention."

A cold glint passed through his eyes. "Did Mr. Hale ever tell you who I am?"

If Paige knew, surely she wouldn’t dare to speak to him like that. He decided to reaffirm his identity.

Paige, however, coldly replied, "I’m not interested in who you are, so there’s no need to tell me."

What an unknowing woman. Since Henry couldn’t discipline her, he’d have to do it himself.

So he cut to the chase, reaching out to pull Paige into his embrace.

Who would have known that just as his hand touched her clothing, Paige grabbed his hand instead?

Then he felt the world spin, and the next moment he was hanging off the side of the ship, with only his clothes hooked onto the ship’s body.

Any slight movement could have him end up in the sea.

Paige stood on the deck, looking down coldly at him.

The man was chilled to the bone, frozen. "How dare you do this to me? Pull me up now!"

Paige replied, "For someone like you, if you fed the sharks, they might really like it."

"You wouldn’t dare! If something happens to me, my father won’t let you go. This ship belongs to my father!"

He was truly scared now; if his clothes became unhooked, he’d really end up feeding the sharks.

While he threatened Paige, his voice was timid.

"Miss Sterling, if you pull me up, I can overlook today’s incident."

Paige chuckled, "Even if you fall and die, no one will know it was me because there’s no fourth person to see, right?"

"No, you can’t do this..."

Paige reached out and tore at the hooked clothes, the man trembling all over, "No, don’t kill me, Miss Sterling, please have mercy, I apologize..."

Once he was up, he could teach this woman a lesson.

Paige withdrew her hand, "I was planning to pull you up, but you insisted on wailing like a ghost. So just hang there and enjoy the breeze."

With that, Paige ignored the man hanging off the ship and continued gazing into the distance from the deck.

The bodyguard dared not interfere.

Before long, however, Henry Hale arrived, and the bodyguard breathed a sigh of relief. If Henry hadn’t come, that man’s fate might have been uncertain.

After all, he was the young owner of this ship. If something really happened to him, Henry would have a hard time explaining.

Henry walked over and immediately saw the man hanging off the ship. When the man saw Henry, he quickly asked for help.

Henry didn’t respond, instead looking at Paige and asking, "What did he do to you?"

Paige also chose not to respond to Henry.

Henry said, "Since he bothered you, you shouldn’t have any reservations; do whatever you want."

The man widened his eyes, unable to believe Henry could say such a thing, "Henry Hale, you can’t ignore me. If my father finds out, he won’t let you go..."

Henry frowned, "You’re too noisy."

Without giving the man a chance to react, he ripped the fabric apart.

The man fell into the sea with a look of disbelief, disappearing without a splash.

Henry then said to Paige, "You see, when dealing with annoying people, there’s no need to waste words."

Paige smirked sarcastically, "Thank you for the reminder."

Henry’s expression stiffened.

Considering there’s no need for words with annoying people, Paige no longer felt the need to speak to him.

He had inadvertently trapped himself in his own logic.

Henry coughed, but Paige unexpectedly kicked him hard and fast, catching him off guard and bending him over in pain. 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦

Paige said, "Do you think this is a suitable way to deal with those I dislike?"

After speaking, Paige didn’t care how much pain Henry was in and turned back to her room.

The bodyguard stood aside, sympathetically watching Henry. From this distance, he could feel Henry’s pain.

Seeing Henry unable to stand, he asked, "Mr. Hale, are you okay?"

Henry, "...", did he look okay?

In the following days, Henry didn’t come looking for Paige.

After what Henry did to that man, his father must have known, likely causing Henry a lot of trouble.

Paige could sense the unrest outside from her room, but she wasn’t worried.

Henry was not one to act without confidence. Since he dared make a move on the man’s son, it meant he deemed the man no longer a threat.

Three days later, the ship docked, and many people boarded and disembarked.

Henry said to her, "Have you been cooped up long enough? Do you need me to take you down?"

Paige was surprised, thinking Henry would keep her at sea forever and didn’t expect to disembark so soon.

As they disembarked, Henry was cautious, afraid of being discovered, and even disguised Paige.

Paige knew that Henry was wary, suggesting his escape journey wasn’t going smoothly, prompting him to hurry off the ship.

Perhaps it was Henry’s enemies, or maybe Julian Hawthorne, who had come for him.

None of that mattered now; Paige had little intention of making things easy for Henry.
