Chapter 96: Ninefold Titan Physique Scripture

Lin Loi rubbed the temple of her head when she heard his nonchalant response.

"So you already know who’s innocent and guilty, right?" She asked.

"Obviously." Ye Ming chuckled.

"Why escalate the matter then?"

"For fun?"

"..."

Speechless, Lin Loi was beginning to wonder if he have a few screw loose in his brain. The Blue Wind Sect might not be able to pose any threat to them, but that didn’t mean she wanted to offend them for no reason.

Moreover, this kind of incident happens daily. And even now while they were talking, such an incident might be taking place.

"Are you interested in those lasses?" Lin Loi then raised the question. She had read the report and it could be said the two women who came to the Justice Hall were considered a beauty.

However, when she noticed Ye Ming frowning, she realized that wasn’t the case.

"I’m just having fun and wanting to see the development and the Blue Wind Sect’s stance." Ye Ming explained and proceeded to retrieve the memory orb.

Once activated, Lin Loi’s expression turned ugly when she saw the scene of Chu Dong pushing Tao Wang to danger to save himself.

As if that wasn’t enough, Chu Dong even pushed another unidentified man to the jaws of the Red Demon Tiger and used that time to escape.

In other words, the man was playing the victim when he was the most heinous culprit.

"Such a person might as well be executed then." Lin Loi rolled her eyes. She didn’t doubt the evidence that Ye Ming brought up to be fabricated. There was no need to fabricate anything when Ye Ming could easily just kill Chu Dong in silence before anything erupted.

Since Ye Ming could suppress a Nascent Soul with such ease, then it would be even easier for a lowly cultivator like Chu Dong.

"You’re right. I don’t plan on letting him live, but I want to see who is trying to defend his ass." Ye Ming mused and revealed his thought process.

Lin Loi exhaled deeply once she learned of his plan.

"There are many actives like that in a sect." She said but then shook her head. "No, it’s everywhere!"

What Ye Ming mentioned was topics of abuse of power regarding relationship and connection.

It was extremely common for ambush and accusation to be thrown around toward those with a low background.

Thus, Lin Loi seriously couldn’t understand why Ye Ming would want to drag this incident further.

"Like I’ve said... it’s just for fun. This is the first incident I encountered personally here, so I wanted to see through with it." Ye Ming shrugged.

Speechless, Lin Loi realized she could never understand his eccentric mindset.

"I hope it won’t delay the competition." She said and was about to leave.

"Hold up," Ye Ming called out and threw the memory orb to her.

Out of instinct, Lin Loi caught the memory orb.

"Why are you giving this to me?" She asked.

"So when the time is ripe, you will reveal that evidence." Ye Ming mused. After learning that his actions could render a person to become robotic, he decided to be more careful with his moves.

The evidence, if shown by him, would naturally raise a lot of questions.

However, if the evidence came from Lin Loi. Who would dare to question or debunk her?

"Wow, you really are gutsy to use me as the scapegoat." Lin Loi twitched her brows and hissed. She wasn’t foolish or naive to not understand that Ye Ming wanted to shift the blame to her while he got to enjoy the show from the sideline.

"Suit yourself." Ye Ming spread his arms. "You can help me with this and get a chance to cleanse the impurity in your body from the cultivation technique you’re using. Or you can ignore me and forever remain stuck in your cultivation realm."

Currently, Lin Loi is at the 4th level of the Spirit Severing Realm. She was talented and young, but for some reason, she found it difficult to cultivate and improve her realm.

Since the incident occurred, Lin Loi had been pondering over and over about the problem. When she sought her Masters for help, they were equally clueless.

In fact, they even inspected the cultivation technique that she had been practicing. It was a technique she found in a secret realm and was very profound.

Yet after much deciphering, her Masters didn’t notice any anomaly with the cultivation technique.

It was also precisely at this time that Gong Shu took in another disciple named Tian Suyin. Her cultivation base was weaker than her, but her comprehension and improvement were leaps above her.

This was especially true when she had sparred with Tian Suyin prior to the major incident that divided the world and lost when restricted to the same cultivation realm.

To summarize, Lin Loi always regarded her stagnated cultivation base as a prick in her heart—one that was unable to be plucked out.

Therefore, when Ye Ming suddenly brought up the topic and even mentioned how he could resolve her predicament, her heart started to beat rapidly.

She stumbled a few steps as she tried her best to compose her emotions.

"What are you talking about?" She clenched her fist and questioned.

"Ninefold Titan Physique Scripture." Ye Ming spat out. These words alone instantly caused Lin Loi to fall to the ground in disbelief.

"How did you know about that technique?" She asked in disbelief. There were even traces of suspicion that he might be a spy or being related to the secret realm that she had explored.

Seeing her expression, Ye Ming snorted and nearly wanted to laugh.

"What? Why wouldn’t I know about this inferior technique?" He sneered coldly. "This technique refines the body through nine stages of transformation in return for indomitable strength and regeneration. Unfortunately, it’s merely a branch of the original technique and was filled with many flaws."

From the beginning of their encounter, when his legs were placed on her lap, he had long detected something unusual in her body. It was familiar yet somewhat foreign to him.

Finally, he decided to rub her stomach a bit more to sense something and ultimately browsed through his sea of memories. It was then that he finally realized why he felt so familiar with the technique.
