The Heiress Spoiled by Four Brothers and One Devilish CEO-Chapter 234 Five More Minutes… Just Us
The big pink bedroom was warm and quiet, with Tristan Reid and Megan Shaw curled up in each other’s arms like they couldn’t bear to let go.
Tristan’s eyes suddenly opened. He stared at the woman right in front of him, not wanting to miss even a second of the soft cuteness on her face.
He loved her deeply—her bright, sunny smile, her little mischievous quirks. Every bit of her was carved into his memory, right down to his bones.
Maybe time just passed too fast, and reality was too harsh. Tristan couldn’t help but wish this moment would just pause. He felt helpless, like he had no control, and that frustrated him.
If he could, he’d give it all up just to hold onto this little woman for the rest of their lives—growing old together, wrinkles and all.
Sensing someone watching her, Megan slowly opened her eyes.
She looked at him, gaze steady. “What’s on your mind?”
Tristan’s lips curled upward, his voice low and a little teasing. “Just thinking about which ‘pose’ to go for next.”
Megan snorted and lightly slapped his well-defined chest. “Seriously? You’re getting cheekier by the day. So annoying!”
“Annoyingly charming, you mean. Can’t get enough of me, huh?” He flicked his fingers, slipping off a corner of her bathrobe, revealing her smooth skin underneath.
The night dragged on. Only when Megan finally fell asleep in his arms did Tristan hug her even tighter.
Holding her close, he gazed blankly out the window.
Snowflakes drifted down again. Maybe the last snowfall of the season.
Maybe everything has an end—he was no different. No one could dodge fate after all.
He clung to her like he could stop himself from falling apart again.
It wasn’t until the first light broke across the sky that he finally drifted off.
When Megan woke up, she looked down at his long, clean fingers and smirked. “Wow, stealing our baby’s food already?”
She turned to gaze at his peaceful, flawless face. He was impossibly handsome. How did she luck out with such a dream of a man?
Her fingertip traced the sharp lines of his face—just perfect.
“Like what you see?” he murmured, eyes still shut.
“Yeah,” she grinned. “You’re better looking than me.”
Clearly, he liked hearing that. His hand slid behind her head, and though his eyes were still closed, he nailed the kiss right on target. “Finally, some honesty.”
“We visiting the old house today?” she asked.
He hummed in agreement. “Yeah, Dad and Grandpa want to see you. We’ll head to the Shaw’s after lunch.”
She nodded. “Cool, then let’s get up and wash up?”
But Tristan yanked her back into his arms. “Five more minutes. I’m wiped from last night.”
Megan: “......”
It was almost nine by the time they got up and started the morning routine.
Tristan brushed her teeth, washed her face, even rubbed in her skincare.
Megan swatted his hand away. “Hey, that’s starting to hurt!”
“I like it. Your cheeks are getting all squishy lately—feels nice.” As he spoke, his eyes dropped down. “And someone’s fully stocked.”
She rolled her eyes. “You used to be all stiff and serious, like a poker-faced robot. Now you’re spouting nonsense like a pro... when did that happen?”
Tristan grabbed a light pink lip balm, dabbed some on his lips, and pressed a kiss to hers. He chuckled, “As long as it makes you happy.”
Then he leaned in again, the kiss deep and playful.
Megan burst out laughing. “Are you putting lip balm on me or trying to feed it to me?”
“Why not both?”After their playful banter, Tristan Reid helped Megan Shaw into her coat and fastened the buttons, then wrapped an arm around her waist. “Let’s go—I feel like flaunting our love in front of those two lonely souls.”
Megan gave him a helpless look. “...Seriously?”
After saying goodbye to the Shaw family, the two headed off to the Reid residence.
From a distance, Rachel Reid and Lina Reid were already standing by the gate, keeping an eye out.
The moment the car pulled in, they rushed over.
Rachel opened the door and unbuckled Megan’s seatbelt, carefully helping her out.
She gave Megan a big hug. “Sis, I missed you so much!”
Tristan cleared his throat. “Watch her belly, okay?”
Rachel blinked and quickly let go, her eyes locking on the slight curve of Megan’s belly. “Aww, it’s so adorable! I want a baby too.”
“Well, you and Kai Lee are legally married. What’s stopping you?”
Right then, Kai showed up, and Rachel darted to his side. “Babe, let’s go make one tonight!”
Kai frowned. “Will you shut up? Do you always have to yell about stuff like this?”
Rachel pouted. “We’re already doing it, why act like it’s a secret?”
A big hand clamped over her mouth. “Nothing can shut you up, huh?”
She pushed it away and grinned. “Your mouth can!”
Kai shot her a side-eye—clearly exasperated with her antics.
He leaned in and whispered, “We’ve got an unmarried guest here, act decent.”
Lina adjusted her glasses and spoke earnestly, “It’s fine, I know all this. We covered it in bio class.”
Kai: “...”
Rachel shrugged him off. “I know you can’t live without me, but come on, let go already, it’s cold! Let’s get inside, Sis.”
Rachel and Lina each took one of Megan’s arms and led her toward the house.
Tristan walked up beside Kai, chuckling. “Used to be Rachel stuck to you all the time. Seems like now it’s the other way around.”
Kai scoffed. “That’s nonsense. Rachel’s just good at twisting things.”
“Mhm,” Tristan smirked. “Maybe you’re just not kissing her enough.”
With that, he stepped forward to catch up with Megan.
Kai frowned, thinking that over. He had kissed her plenty. Maybe this chaos was just... her basic setting.
Inside the living room sat Julian Reid, Pearl Bennett, and Penelope Reid.
Seeing them come in, they all stood up to greet them. 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺
Since the situation with Sophia Carter and Evelyn Carter, Pearl had dialed things back, apparently feeling at least a bit guilty for the drama she’d helped stir.
Penelope walked over and took Megan from Rachel’s side, guiding her to the sofa. “It’s been a while, sweetie. Wow, you’re really showing! Any discomfort lately?”
Megan shook her head. “Thanks for asking, Auntie. The early symptoms are gone. I’m eating, sleeping—honestly, I feel totally normal.”
“Craving more spicy food or sour stuff these days?”
Megan smiled. “Spicy! I’ve got a good feeling—this one’s a girl. My little sweetheart.”
Julian chuckled. “Girls are great. Lina’s been such a good kid, so obedient. Boys tend to be more wild, not as tuned in.”
“Girls really are better,” Mr. Reid commented as he walked in with Nathan Reid’s support, settling down on the couch with effort.
Megan stood up. “Grandpa. Dad.”
Mr. Reid waved her down. “Sit, sit. You’re the one carrying the next generation, you deserve to rest. You know, girls just get it more than boys. Look at Harrison—when has he ever listened to me?”
