Chapter 49: When the Storm Reaches Home

Not far from Yoo Jinhoo’s house—

Jacqueline appeared.

She walked calmly down the street, her entire body enveloped in a thick, pulsating purple aura. The air around her twisted unnaturally, as if reality itself was being distorted by her presence.

"Indigo..."

Her lips curved upward into a twisted smile.

"I’ve finally arrived... I will capture you."

Her thoughts were consumed by one name alone.

Indigo.

From the moment she defected, Jacqueline had devoted herself entirely to tracking him down. She investigated his movements, his past, the people around him—slowly narrowing the web.

And in the end—

She found this place.

The location where Indigo lived.

Her steps were filled with rage... and joy.

She was truly unhinged.

Just as Jacqueline was about to take another step forward—

A wall of blue flames erupted in front of her, blocking the road completely.

The sky darkened instantly. Thick clouds gathered overhead, swirling violently. Thunder roared again and again, lightning dancing wildly across the heavens as if the sky itself had entered a frenzy.

Jacqueline stopped.

She slowly lifted her gaze.

Above the wall of blue fire—

Three women hovered in the air.

All three were beautiful.

One had short blonde hair.

One had blazing red hair.

And the last had long black hair that flowed with the wind.

They floated calmly, their eyes fixed on Jacqueline with unyielding hostility.

There was no need for introductions.

Kim Gae-in.

So-ah.

Min-seo.

The three of them had taken action.

They would not allow an intruder to approach the place they called home.

Jacqueline let out a low, mocking chuckle.

"So that’s how it is..." she sneered.

"So this place is protected by a bunch of filthy whores."

Purple smoke began to seep out from her body, spreading across the ground like poison.

She observed her surroundings carefully.

From a distance—

Standing atop the roof of Yoo Jinhoo’s house—

Elvera spread her arms slightly, her expression calm yet intrigued.

"Hah... This looks fun," she muttered.

Kim Gae-in raised her voice sharply.

"Leave this place, you pest."

So-ah followed immediately, her eyes burning with fury.

"Yeah! You’re the one who nearly killed oppa!"

Min-seo stared straight at Jacqueline, her gaze cold and merciless.

"...Tch. This will be troublesome," Jacqueline said, clicking her tongue.

"You all aren’t even on my level, you know? The only one worthy of facing me is Indigo."

Her aura flared violently.

"So get out of my way before I crush every single bone in your bodies!!"

Her roar echoed through the entire area.

Hearing those words, the three women grew even angrier.

Min-seo moved first.

Lightning erupted from both of her hands.

In the next instant—

She vanished.

Moving at the speed of lightning itself, Min-seo shot forward.

In less than a blink of an eye, she appeared directly in front of Jacqueline.

Her fist—wrapped in crackling electricity—smashed straight into Jacqueline’s face.

The impact sent Jacqueline flying backward at terrifying speed.

She skidded across the ground, dragging her feet to stop herself.

"Ugh..."

Then she laughed.

"Yes... this is it!! This is what I wanted!!"

From the sky—

So-ah unleashed her attack.

Countless blue flames rained down, forming hundreds—no, thousands—of blue fireballs that streaked toward Jacqueline like a meteor storm.

Jacqueline raised her arms and began deflecting them.

She managed to block several—

But there were simply too many.

Realizing this, she leapt backward, dodging rapidly, then crouched and kicked off the ground with monstrous force.

The ground cracked.

She shot upward—straight toward So-ah.

So-ah’s eyes widened in shock at Jacqueline’s insane jumping speed.

Just as Jacqueline was about to strike—

A flash of lightning appeared from her right.

Min-seo reappeared, her fist once again aimed straight at Jacqueline’s face.

At the same time—

From Jacqueline’s left—

Kim Gae-in emerged, her hands enveloped in violent currents of compressed wind.

She drove her palm directly into Jacqueline’s abdomen.

Jacqueline’s eyes widened.

She couldn’t dodge in time.

Both attacks landed cleanly.

Her body was blasted downward, crashing violently into the ground.

Without wasting a second—

So-ah gathered her flames.

Hundreds of fiery portals opened in the sky.

From each portal—

A blue flame sword emerged.

So-ah pointed one finger downward.

Instantly—

Hundreds of blue flame swords descended like divine punishment, raining straight toward Jacqueline.

Jacqueline gritted her teeth.

She tried blocking some of them.

She succeeded—

But it didn’t matter.

There were too many.

The swords pierced her body one after another.

Blood dripped from the corner of her mouth.

Yet—

Instead of screaming in pain—

She smiled.

"Hehehe... YES!! Keep attacking me!!! This is fun!!"

She burst into mad laughter.

Her laughter was horrifying.

Jacqueline’s aura began to swell violently, expanding outward like an explosion.

A powerful wind surged through the battlefield.

Kim Gae-in clicked her tongue in irritation.

She spread both of her arms wide.

At that moment—

Two massive tornadoes formed simultaneously.

"Now!!" she shouted.

At the same time—

Elvera’s purple mist moved.

It flowed gracefully into one of the tornadoes.

The tornado instantly turned deep purple.

Beside it—

So-ah gathered her flames once more, shaping them into a massive blue fire phoenix.

She extended both hands toward the other tornado.

"Ha!!!"

The blue phoenix flew straight into it.

That tornado turned a brilliant blue.

Two tornadoes now stood side by side.

One filled with toxic purple mist.

The other blazing with blue flames.

Kim Gae-in crossed her arms.

"HAPP!!!"

Both tornadoes surged forward, rushing toward Jacqueline at incredible speed.

They collided inward, attempting to crush her between them.

Jacqueline remained calm.

Her grin widened.

She coated both of her arms with dense purple aura and extended them outward.

She caught both tornadoes.

Barehanded.

"What!?" Kim Gae-in shouted in disbelief.

"She’s stopping my tornadoes!? That’s impossible!"

A spark of lightning flashed beside Kim Gae-in.

Min-seo dashed forward.

In an instant, she reached the frontlines.

She raised both hands toward the sky.

"Ten million volts!!!"

She slammed her hands downward.

The sky answered.

A massive lightning beam descended from the heavens, striking Jacqueline directly.

The lightning was so thick it looked like a pillar of light.

"HAAA!!!" Min-seo screamed, pouring everything into the attack.

From afar—

Kim Gae-in forced both tornadoes forward with all her remaining strength.

So-ah gathered an enormous blue fireball in her hands.

It shone like a miniature sun.

"Ten Kara no Aoi Hono!!"

—Blue Flame from the Heavens!

She hurled it forward.

Four overwhelming powers—

Focused on a single target.

A deafening explosion erupted.

The ground trembled violently.

The tornadoes vanished.

The lightning beam dissipated.

The blue flames faded.

Kim Gae-in slowly descended to the ground.

The moment she landed, her knees hit the dirt.

She was exhausted. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦

So-ah followed, landing unsteadily, her hands trembling uncontrollably.

Min-seo’s legs shook as well, her breathing ragged from overexertion.

All three of them were drained.

From the rooftop—

Elvera stared in disbelief.

She hadn’t used her full power yet—she was the last line of defense.

But—

From the smoke—

Jacqueline emerged.

Walking calmly.

Her body—

Not a single scratch.

Only her clothes were torn.

"How... is she still standing after all that!?" Kim Gae-in muttered weakly.

Inside the house—

Lee Donghyun and Lee Mira watched in terror through the window.

"Even with the combined power of the three strongest people here..."

"They still couldn’t hurt her at all..."

Lee Mira clung tightly to Lee Donghyun’s arm.

"Oppa... when will Oppa Yoo Jinhoo come back...?"

Yes.

At a moment like this—

Their only hope—

Was Indigo’s return.

But the question remained—

When would he come back?
