The Hero is Hunting me!-Chapter 51: Purple Venom and the Black Omen
Elvera moved with precision, narrowly avoiding every one of Jacqueline’s attacks before striking back without hesitation.
Their battle was ferocious.
Both of them were masters of martial arts, their movements refined through countless battles. Neither held a clear advantage. Every punch thrown was either parried or redirected. Their fists clashed again and again, sending sharp shockwaves through the air.
Jacqueline attempted to sweep Elvera’s legs, but Elvera reacted instantly—flipping backward and snapping her heel upward.
Her foot slammed directly into Jacqueline’s chin.
Jacqueline staggered back a step.
Her tongue was bitten by the impact, and blood spilled from her mouth, dripping down her chin.
"You bastard!" Jacqueline shouted furiously.
Her rage exploded.
A deep purple aura erupted from her body, swelling outward like a living storm. The ground beneath her feet cracked as violent winds surged forward, roaring straight toward Elvera.
"Ugh..." Elvera groaned.
The pressure forced her backward, her body struggling against the overwhelming gusts. Worse still, the powerful wind scattered her poisonous mist, pushing it far away and rendering it useless.
Elvera clenched her teeth.
"Ugh! Dragon Venom! Third Head!"
She thrust both hands forward.
Instantly, three dark purple dragon heads burst forth from her clenched fists. Their jaws snapped open as they lunged toward Jacqueline at blinding speed.
Jacqueline crossed her arms and blocked two of the dragon heads, her reinforced forearms absorbing the impact. However, the third head slipped past her defense.
It struck her squarely.
Sticky purple liquid splashed across her body.
Jacqueline felt it immediately.
Her skin burned.
No—boiled.
"Aghhh!!!"
She screamed as the venom ate into her flesh, smoke rising from her skin. Her eyes widened in agony.
That was the moment Jacqueline entered her serious mode.
She slammed her fists together.
Her body began to expand rapidly.
Three meters tall.
Her muscles swelled grotesquely, veins bulging as her frame hardened like steel. The air vibrated under the pressure of her raw power.
Elvera stared at her with a sharp, unwavering gaze.
She blinked—just for a fraction of a second.
Jacqueline vanished.
"El—!"
Panic surged through Elvera as she spun around, searching desperately.
Too late.
Jacqueline was already behind her.
With terrifying speed, Jacqueline swung her massive arm sideways.
The blow sent Elvera flying.
Her body crashed violently into a tree, snapping its trunk in half. Several nearby trees collapsed from the sheer force of the impact.
An ordinary person would have died instantly.
"Ugh... My bones... It feels like they’re about to break..." Elvera muttered weakly as she struggled to rise.
Before she could stand—
Jacqueline was already in front of her.
Elvera’s eyes widened.
She instantly released a thick cloud of purple smoke, blinding Jacqueline.
Taking advantage of the moment, Elvera turned and ran.
The purple smoke drifted away with the wind.
Through the thinning haze, Jacqueline could be seen gripping an entire tree, swinging it like a fan to disperse the poison.
"Tch."
After clearing the smoke, Jacqueline suddenly leapt and plunged into the ground.
She was digging.
Elvera noticed it and gasped.
While sprinting away, she released purple liquid onto the ground behind her.
Moments later—
The earth trembled violently.
Elvera jumped high into the air.
Jacqueline burst out of the ground beneath her, arms outstretched, trying to grab her midair.
But the purple liquid reacted instantly.
Jacqueline’s hands began to melt.
"Agh! Damn cursed poison!"
Elvera landed and rolled forward, quickly facing Jacqueline again.
She extended her right hand.
Behind her, a golden butterfly manifested, its wings shimmering brilliantly.
"Golden Butterfly Powder!"
Golden dust erupted from Elvera’s hand, shooting toward Jacqueline like a storm of needles.
This was no ordinary powder.
Each grain carried a microscopic needle capable of slicing through skin painlessly and entering the bloodstream unnoticed.
Once inside, the particles shattered—releasing a lethal purple toxin directly within the body.
Jacqueline didn’t have time to dodge.
The golden powder pierced her body silently.
Jacqueline frowned.
"Huh? Nothing’s happening... Looks like you’ve finally run out of tricks, Elvera!!"
Elvera responded with a sinister smile.
Blood trickled from the corner of her lips.
Her right hand, once spread with five fingers, slowly formed a scissor-like gesture.
At that moment—
Jacqueline felt something terribly wrong.
Blood burst from her mouth.
far too much.
"Blegh—! You... What did you do to me!?"
"I?" Elvera replied calmly. "I simply placed poison inside your body."
Jacqueline roared in fury and charged forward.
Elvera tried to dodge, but Jacqueline caught her by the neck mid-movement.
"Got you, damn poison witch!"
"U—ugh..."
Elvera struggled desperately, her neck tightly crushed. Escape was impossible.
But she remained calm.
With swift precision, she raised both hands, crossing her fingers.
Jacqueline frowned in confusion.
Then—
A massive cross-shaped slash appeared out of nowhere, tearing across Jacqueline’s torso.
"Agh!"
Her grip weakened.
Elvera kicked upward, climbing onto Jacqueline’s arm and twisting violently, attempting to break it.
"Ugh—Aghhhh!!!" Elvera screamed, exerting every ounce of her remaining strength.
Jacqueline howled in pain.
"You damn whore!"
She slammed her arm into the ground.
Elvera was smashed against the earth, coughing up blood as her vision blurred. Consciousness began to slip away.
With her final strength, Elvera twisted Jacqueline’s arm again, targeting the muscles and joints, forcing them to lock.
She screamed—this was her last attempt.
Jacqueline felt unbearable pain surge through her right arm.
Grinding her teeth, she grabbed Elvera’s head and smashed it into her own.
The impact was devastating.
Elvera’s eyes lost all focus.
She collapsed to the ground, unconscious—her pupils gone.
Jacqueline dropped to her knees, breathing heavily.
She was exhausted.
The fight had pushed her to the brink.
She released her power, her body shrinking back to normal size.
Just as she tried to rest—
Something felt wrong.
Too quiet.
She turned toward Yoo Jinhoo’s house.
On the rooftop, someone stood.
A man clad in a black suit and fluttering black cloak, standing calmly against the fierce wind. A black mask concealed his face, a hat casting a shadow over it.
His hands were crossed behind his back.
Anyone would recognize him.
Indigo.
Jacqueline should have smiled.
She should have felt relieved.
But instead—
Fear crept into her heart. 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮
Her instincts screamed danger.
She realized she was weak now—but even at full strength, she felt that the Indigo before her was far more dangerous than before.
Her body trembled.
Still, she forced a crooked smile.
"Hehe... You finally showed up. And this time... you actually look like my equal if I were at full power..."
Indigo said nothing.
But something was wrong.
This was Indigo.
Yet it felt like someone else entirely.
From behind the black mask, red light glowed from his eyes.
Jacqueline froze.
That wasn’t normal.
She didn’t know the truth—
The man standing before her was not the original Indigo.
He was a doppelgänger.
A far more ruthless version.
And the real nightmare was only beginning.
