The Hero of Hypnosis-Chapter 397: Calling in some help
When Kai and Osiren made it back to the resistance base, he was horrified by what it had become. The burning mountain, the dead bodies, and the many injured people broke his heart.
"I failed them." He cried, dropping to his knees. "I’m their prince, and I failed them. They believed in me, and I let them down."
"For real. You let them die for no fucking reason. You’re a pretty shitty prince, not gonna lie."
Osiren looked at Kai, slightly confused and full of anger.
"What? Did you expect me to rub your back and tell you how it’s not your fault or something shitty like that? Hell nah. Get the fuck up, work isn’t finished yet. Cry like a bitch some other time."
Though his words were harsh, Osiren knew what Kai was saying was the truth. He couldn’t fall right now, he couldn’t break down, and he couldn’t let the people who followed him die in vain. He had to stand up and fight for them, for what they believed in.
"Yes, you’re right. I’m sorry you had to see that side of me." 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞
"Sure. Anyway, look over there. It’s your sister."
The moment Osiren locked eyes with his sister, tears welled up in his eyes, and he ran toward her as fast as he could.
"ISIA!"
"Huh? O-Osiren!" She ran toward her brother, tears welling in her eyes as well.
"Oh, thank Rauna, you’re alive. I don’t know what I would have done if I had lost you. My precious little sister."
"I’m okay, brother. Kai made sure to protect me. Is everything okay with you? Where’s Horisia and Setton?"
Kai froze, his eyes widening. "Oh shit!" He quickly teleported to the border, picked up Horisia, who was just chilling on the ground unconscious, then teleported back to the base.
"She’s right here!" He waved her body.
"H-Horisia? What happened to her?" Sekmala, who was glad to see that both of them were okay, rushed over to Kai.
"Well, do you want the long story or the short story?"
Sekmala contemplated for a good five seconds before answering. "The short story."
"Setton is a traitor spy and knocked her out." Kai explained
"W-What?! What’s the long story?!"
"Well, Setton was a spy the whole time, who didn’t agree with the monarchy. He was secretly helping Flaxem, and he attacked Osiren and Horisia. He was getting the shit beaten out of him before revealing that he had demonic powers. Still, Horisia was beating his ass until he almost made Horisia destroy the chalice. She managed to avoid destroying it, but then he used that chance to knock her out. Then I fought him, beat him up, was gonna let Osiren kill him, then the Army of Flaxem and Apophia stormed the border, and now the resistance over there is fighting them. Oh, and a good chunk of them were traitors as well, but Horisia killed them all."
"Wow, all of that really happened?"
"Well, that was the shortened long version. If you want the LONG long version, then what had happened was—"
"No." Skemala cut him off. "I’m good."
"Sekmala, we need to head back to the border." Osiren urged. "We don’t have a formal military, and the remaining resistance is doing their best to hold off the army, but they attacked with hundreds of thousands strong! Thankfully, Kai managed to kill a great chunk of them, but still, our people are hurting."
"Right. Everyone, gear up! I know that we have lost a lot of people today, but we can’t afford to lose our standing in Sunspot. We need to hold the border!"
"We’re with you!"
"I’ll make them pay!"
"But Commander Sekmala, our numbers are too small. Even if we are able to drive them back today, we might not be able to if they attack again." One member pointed out.
"She’s right. We can’t send all of our people there. Dammit."
"Don’t worry about that." Kai grinned. "I’ll handle that part."
"Are you sure?" She asked him.
"Positive." Kai slapped Horisia’s ass, and she woke up.
"Ahh! W-What? What happened? Did we beat Setton?"
"Want the long story or the short story?" Kai asked
"The—"
"No, we didn’t." Sekmala interrupted her. "The army of Flexom is attacking Sunspot. We’re about to provide support to our members there."
"Count me in!"
"Kai, can you teleport us there?"
"Yup." He snapped his fingers and they all disappeared, leaving only his girls behind.
"So, uhh? Can we fight as well?" Amaya asked
"Sure. All of you?"
They all nodded.
"Okay." He teleported them as well.
"Alright. Time to go meet some friends."
Kai took off toward the monster community where he and his girls had come from not too long ago. He had already told them that they would mingle with ’monkeys’ soon, and that day was today.
When he arrived, he teleported below the surface and met with the chief.
"My king! You have graced us with your presence. How may we be of service?" The chief asked
"Hmm, you’re wife is hot. I will be getting her pregnant one day." Kai smiled, licking his lips at the sexy orc woman.
"That would be an honor, my king." The chieftess bowed.
"But that’s not what I’m here for. I need your help. You will be providing aid to the surface people. As your king, you cannot decline, but fear not. You will not be discriminated against, and you will be welcomed with open arms. Also, I plan on making a city for you to live in on the surface, one that will be connected to this place so you can travel between both the upper and underground."
"That is amazing to hear, my king. We will do as you command and fight with our lives on the line! Please let me make an announcement so we can prepare ourselves for war!"
The chief gathered the other monsters there, telling them everything that Kai had relayed to them.
Kai even stepped forward, blessing all of them with his power to make them monsters on the battlefield, their combat prowess, not actually turning them into monsters.
With that blessing, he also made it so that no one would look at them with disgust or fear, and everyone who knows Kai will know that these monsters are with him.
After the announcement was finished, they all cheered and prepared for battle.
