The Invincible Full-Moon System-Chapter 1196: Aftermath of the Punishment
The Dark Elf Kingdom.
After the public execution was held by Kyran himself, eradicating two noble houses at once, the entire kingdom returned back to their daily activities. Other than the hot topic of banter, about how Kyran, who was merciful enough to give the traitors a swift death—nothing much has changed.
It didn't seem like the public execution was bothering the citizens.
Contrary to being bothered, the citizens consider this to be a long-awaited punishment.
Both noble houses got what they deserved, and Kyran did the right thing.
Of course—although there was nothing much that changed in their daily activities—there is one evident change. Any Dark Elf, who walked past the Aldri Noble House's mansion, which was outside of the great tree, didn't forget to pay their tribute
A greeting by throwing something towards the guards or the mansion itself out of spite.
Naturally, the guards were overwhelmed as they couldn't do anything.
Even telling the citizens to stop might induce a heavy blowback that they couldn't endure.
Since out of the traitor noble houses—the Aldri Noble House was spared, which spoke of the Emperor's benevolence, giving forgiveness, the citizens didn't treat them respectfully. In their eyes, the Aldri Noble House's reputation became even worse.
More than that, the citizens became way angrier and spiteful of the Aldri Noble House.
To think that they planned on hurting the Empress—when the Emperor is this merciful boiled their blood, the citizens simply could not believe that they dared to do that. All the guards of the family could do was try to calm the angry citizens down peacefully.
No violence was used, only peaceful methods.
Using their bodies to block the thrown trash, or even simply letting the citizens be.
All spotlights are on the house so it would be a while before the citizens could calm down.
However, contrary to the citizens, the high-ranking nobles were in turmoil.
Each one of them saw what happened to the Diaro and Sanzo Noble Houses—Kyran killed all of them leaving only their offspring alive, awaiting his final judgment. All Elders were silenced after the public execution, having no words to utter.
One particular Elder who was stressing out the most was Damioc.
His son attacked the Empress too, and he didn't know whether Kyran knew about that.
It left him in a perpetual paranoia that couldn't be shaken no matter what he did.
Naturally, the resistance against siding with the Silverstar Pack was gone.
King Jorik was proven to be true, his insight was correct.
Additionally—General Theodas had also notified them, about the punishment that happened to the Aldri Noble House last night—the punishment, that left Bevryth crippled in the mind. It was still unclear how her future would be like.
Maybe a healer would be able to help her, but none of them came to aid.
General Theodas also didn't forgot to warn the Elders about Kyran's threat to him earlier.
He basically said that if something like this happened again, the kingdom would be done.
Of course, the Emperor might show them mercy—but Kyran would make sure that no mercy was given to them, if the same mistake happened for the second time. He would make sure, the Dark Elf Kingdom burns to the ground.
All except for the citizens fear Kyran, his reputation as an eforcer was now established.
He didn't mean to, but this came naturally because of his acts.
On the other hand—inside the great tree in a lavish abode was Kyran who could see the Aldri Noble House's mansion being crowded by people. He could also see, with his enhanced eyes that Valthor and the other family members were mourning Bevryth.
She hadn't snapped out of her trance after the incident last night.
Like a crippled, she was laid on the bad and found the ceiling extremely interesting.
So interesting that her eyes hadn't move anywhere but stare forward.
At the sight of them, Kyran couldn't help but smile.
But that smile disappeared instantly when the door to his room was opened after a knock.
Naela came inside, and she brought along a big bowl of warm water.
Sitting by the bed, she puts the bowl on a small table before tapping the bed beside her.
"Let me clean the blood off of you," She said lightly.
Upon hearing this, Kyran didn't fight her and sat on the bed, his eyes trailing forward.
He hadn't changed his clothes, and bloodstains still covered his body.
Grabbing a clean cloth on the side—Naela dipped it in hot water, before she began cleaning the bloodstains on Kyran's body. She did it gently and slowly—taking her time to wipe, each bloodstain with great care.
It was silence for a brief minute, with only the sound of tumbling water.
Other than that was only the fragrant spores from the floras decorating the room, puffing.
A lot of things happened last night, and the future for both of them are unclear.
However, one thing is for certain: their relationship experienced a massive change.
"Are you happy with the result?" She suddenly asked.
Kyran wasted no time to nod, this was indeed a good result, "Yes, I'm happy with it"
Not even surprised, Naela smiled acutely, "I'm happy for you"
"Kyran, can I propose something...?" She added, her tone becoming lighter as she went.
Listening to this, Kyran raised an eyebrow as he already knew where this was going.
"About the children, I know that you need to eradicate all of them—so I was wondering that since they were children, what about grooming them as guards for the empire? All royalties will have a direct line of trusted guards, and they could fill that empty spot" She proposed.
Not expecting much, Kyran was quite surprised by this idea.
He was expecting Naela to nag him again, especially with his bloody display earlier.
But surprisingly enough, she was not doing that.
Upon hearing her proposal, Kyran contemplated about it for a moment.
He knew that the empire lacked more inner forces, and this idea could solve that problem.
However, he didn't want these children to be anywhere near Rex.
In their eyes, the Silverstar Pack killed their families, so that wouldn't do for Kyran.
"You do know that the majority if not all of them hated the Silverstar Pack for what I've done, right?" Kyran asked—giving a questioning glance at Naela. "Taking them to the empire would pose future risks, how do you purpose we handle that?"
Naela was silenced, she was trying to figure out a way to answer that question.
But answer didn't grace her mind as she hadn't thought it through.
"Well, I was planning on bringing the Aldri Noble House, back to the city," Kyran nodded—he was going to take Naela's proposition. "I guess we could take the children too and give them to Gelmar, Dindora, or Linthia to train and watch over"
At his words, Naela looked at him blankly—seemingly surprise.
Soon enough, that blank look quickly shifted that of happiness as she nodded aggressively.
"Yes, we let them handle the children. I'm really happy, Kyran" Naela replied.
Despite her response, as she returned back to cleaning the bloodstains, more passionately—there was a dark glint in Kyran's eyes that flashed for a second but faded almost instantly. Of course, Naela didn't caught that due to her happiness.
But as the two were silent once again, the door was knocked lightly.
Kyran stood up from the bed to open the door, with Naela also following him from behind.
Opening the door, he was greeted by a tall and muscular Dark Elf wearing royal robes.
He had sharp slinted eyes and long silver hair that reaches his shoulders.
"Hmm? Who are you?" Kyran asked, he needed to look up as the Dark Elf was a foot taller.
Fearing that the situation escalated—recognizing the Dark Elf, standing before Kyran, Naela quickly stepped between them, "Kyran—this is Sir Damioc of the Shalvin Noble House. I am sure he came with no harm intention, right, Sir Damioc?"
Naela looked Damioc right in the eyes, warning him to not say anything offensive.
She feared that Damioc was angry at Kyran for executing nobles blatantly.
However, surprisingly enough, Damioc went to his knees and bowed his head, "It's a pleasure to meet with you, Lord Kyran. I came here to introduce myself, and also offered my service, if you need it, all you need is tell me and I'll dutifully help"
Contrary to what Naela expected, Damioc went to his knees instead.
Out of the Noble Houses, the Shalvins were the house that are battle-oriented the most.
Not only are the forces under them, were massive—but they also has a way greater strength in overall compared to the other houses. Sir Damioc is the house leader after succeeding his father that died fighting against a Death Knight.
Damioc had reigned over as the house head for more than six hundred years.
He had led the Shalvin Noble House to power, and his greatest achievement was leading the battle, at the Plain of Gordan—triumphing against an army of Shapeshifters—alongside their underlings despite being outnumbered three to one.
He is very old and also battle-hardened, known for having the personality of a cold rock.
But that famous Damioc was now kneeling in front of Kyran.
Even though Bevryth didn't lack achievements compared to Damioc, she was still more light compared to Damioc. So seeing Damioc kneeling in front of Kyran came as a shock to Naela as she sucked in a cold breath. Find your next adventure on novelbuddy.com
It was completely jaw-dropping to see this scene.
Kyran is menacing, but she didn't think that he would be able to beat Damioc's pride.
Upon seeing this, Kyran grinned, "Finally, some respect around this place"
"I accept your offer, but I can't think of anything right now so I'll tell you when I need your aid, in the future" He replied. But, before Damioc could answer, he continued, "But—I could sense fear coming from you. Is there anything you want to confess to me?"
Damioc had his eyes widened when he heard this.
He was facing down, so Kyran couldn't see his shocked expression, thankfully.
However, this question made his mind race uncontrollably.
From his point of view, this question is more of a test compared to a mere question.
A moment before he was stressing from the fact that his son, Olfa, disrespected the Empress during her previous visit. It had driven him insane of paranoia, which made him, decides to be the one to approach Kyran and make things right.
Especially remembering the last words the Empress said to him about pleasing the Emperor.
Damioc was hoping that his son's mistake was not brought up.
But it seems like the paranoia and fear that he was feeling inside could be smelled by Kyran.
Gulping harshly, he decided to be as truthful as possible in answering.
Just as he was about to answer—however, a Dark Elf guard leaped from below, and landed in front of Kyran's temporary abode. Seeing that Kyran—was already outside, with Damioc—the Dark Elf guard knelt down instantly.
"I apologize for disturbing, but I have news for Lord Kyran," He said with a respectful tone.
Upon hearing this, Kyran frowned as he was not expecting any news.
Continuing his report, the guard added, "We managed to catch two more Werewolves"
Surprised by the news, Kyran instantly told the Dark Elf guard to bring him to the Werewolves and the two zoomed off into the distance, with haste. Along the way—Kyran was smiling as it seems he had gotten the full scouting team.
'I'm worried about the first Werewolf,' Kyran pondered. 'He's tough to crack'
Remembering how the first Werewolf reacted, he knew that the Werewolf is not a pushover.
Because of that, if he had gotten a more agreeable one then that would be wonderful.
A moment later, Kyran stepped into a dark chamber inside a watchtower.
Just as the Dark Elf guard reported to him, there were two Werewolves bound by chains and aimed by arrows by four Dark Elf guards—surrounding the chamber. One is a male Werewolf, while the other is a female Werewolf.
From the looks of it, the two of them seemed to be spouse partners.
'Hmm...? He's an Alpha, and she must be the Luna. The first Werewolf is neither, he's a Beta'
Seeing the two Werewolf, Kyran was disheartened, "Kill them,"
