Chapter 464: Forgotten Princess!

“Why be so negative, Amelia? No one else knows about the truth except us and Lucas. Surely he will never reveal because his own place will also fail if he does. So, in everyone’s eyes, Jennifer is Taylor!”

“But don’t we all know the truth? Nowadays, haven’t you seen the drastic change in Jennifer’s attitude towards all of us?” Amelia’s words were met with a direct shake from David. f𝔯ee𝘸𝘦𝚋𝒏oѵ𝐞l.c𝒐𝓂

He was already against it since his sentiments never told him that there was anything to be concerned about. After all, Jennifer had recently returned and has suffered a lot. They both learned that their daughter was once married..was this not big enough for him to digest all at once?

On the other hand, Jenifer had already stopped at the entrance, with her eyes wide. She had hidden behind the wall, outside of the door while those eyes bulged out from their place.

‘What kind of secret are they keeping from me?’ 𝒇r𝙚𝙚𝓌𝙚𝑏𝗻𝑜𝘷𝗲𝘭.c૦𝑚

It was another thing to wonder and find out but her guts told her that this wasn’t something good to hear. ‘What kind of plan does Lucas have? Do they know about that?’ So was her entire family involved with that bastard?

The turmoil of emotions flooded inside her brain, never letting her take a single breath. As if, her lungs have gone onto the strike, where her mind went through another malfunctioning continuously.

.....

“Jennifer isn’t any two years girl who can be fooled, Amelia. She is alright, just give her some time.”

“Give her some time? I have all the time with her but we all know about the consequences. We both had made a grave mistake years ago and this isn’t any hidden truth from us. In our heart, Jennifer’s true identity is something else and it needs to be hidden throughout her life.” Amelia answered with a deadly serious voice and a glare in that gaze.

She wasn’t only afraid, but fearful that something bad was going to take place. As that thought constantly revolved around in her brain, it almost became impossible to think about something else. As if, her entire wits told her to just get married off to Lucas for once and all, so that they can shrink their hands off, even if the real truth bombarded upon their head and shoulders.

Meanwhile, Jennifer’s breath halted in the middle when she heard all those words of her mother. As if, Jennifer knew immediately that she was undergoing some kind of heartbreak. ‘Why are you acting so cautiously? What other identity do I have except being their daughter?’

Jennifer’s current facial expressions were all covered by shock. And moreover, it was her veins that were developing under the skin. All she wanted was to dash into her room and not come out for a few hours. But Jennifer understood this too well that her legs won’t let her move until she hears the entire truth for now.. since this was the do-or-die edition lying in front of her.

As David sensed his wife’s restless state, he stood on his toes to walk closer to Amelia who was standing near the window. She held her forehead with the tension and pressure on her forehead.

At the same time, David came closer to finally pressing his hands around her shoulders, asking her to calm down.

“We have given her the values, we have raised her from the child. She doesn’t remember anything and there is no one else in this world who will actually tell her that she isn’t our child.”

“This is the truth...Jenifer isn’t our child, no matter how much we try to define this...David.” Amelia told honestly while covering her face. Her head was a proper mess, as she lifted her eyelids to look at her husband. “Are we making a mistake?”

A thick frown curved on David’s forehead to ask, “What kind of mistake do you mean, Amelia?”

“We knew the truth from the very start. She isn’t our daughter but we have raised her, given her our name, and kept her away from her own family. Was it a mistake we made? because now, I’m afraid of the consequences that might befall upon us..on our family.” Amelia’s true concern was very much pure.

To her worries, David didn’t have any direct answer. Initially, his lips were sliced into a thin line, where he controlled his inner rage to give a shake. “We knew what we were doing years ago.”

“Nothing can be revised anymore... And, our past actions are the result of our situation right now. If we didn’t take that opportunity, maybe, we wouldn’t have been living to see this day.”

David’s words registered into Amelia’s ears and settled her brain very easily. She gave a strong nod, to understand that it was all out of control. They were asked to do this otherwise their death was very certain in the past.

“But we have to make sure that Jennifer doesn’t learn about this. Otherwise, she will rage up and our plans will fail.” Amelia’s expression got full of darkness when she remembered how badly Jennifer was rebelling against them.

However, David held a neutral face to reply, “Don’t worry, she is our child. She won’t suspect what we have done even a bit.”

“I hope she doesn’t because if she does and tries to find out, it won’t be any hard deal for her to find who she actually is... and we will not even get anything from Lucas. if she runs away from this time.” The words met with a stern and positive nod from David’s side too.

He wasn’t interested in letting their families be driven on the edge of the death or bay. That was the last conclusion but their actions play a very significant role in their lives. “Jennifer is tough. We have to get her married so that she will be a Smith by then. After her marriage, whatever Lucas does with her, that isn’t our concern.”

In response, Amelia kept her head on his shoulders, to finally replace her dark expressions with a soft sigh. Closing her eyes, she rested her head before muttering under her breath. “She is a Princess..David..a forgotten princess..”

“....and We pray that this Princess isn’t discovered, because if she is, our lives will be doomed badly!”
