The King of Urban Mercenaries-Chapter 1460 - 1464: Donated
"Are you trying to shirk your responsibility now?" Lin Fei sneered at Pang Tongfang, surprised that even Pang Tongfang would have his day. He had never imagined that the giant Pang Family would fall into his hands over time and that he could take their lives at any moment—all thanks to Mu Shanshan.
Lin Fei felt he had truly found a good wife. Not many people could achieve such feats, especially the power to emerge from adversity, which many lacked.
Of course, Lin Fei didn’t know that the strength Mu Shanshan possessed was born from Lin Fei’s efforts. If she hadn’t seen Lin Fei’s hard work, Mu Shanshan wouldn’t have made up her mind. Seeing Lin Fei struggle, how could Mu Shanshan just stand by and watch?
So, Mu Shanshan wanted to help Lin Fei. She wanted to assist him when he needed help, so that Mu Shanshan would feel comfortable inside.
Ultimately, she succeeded. She found an opportunity in an area she excelled at and expanded Mu Group to a world-class scale, trampling their former enemies underfoot.
Actually, Mu Group already had this capability. Given that both were businesses of Mo Country, Mu Group didn’t act against the Pang Family. However, when the Pang Family, unaware of the truth, took action against Mu Shanshan, the outcome was predictable.
Mu Shanshan directly dealt a blow to all Pang Family industries, eventually freezing all their finances due to smuggling issues, driving Pang Tongfang mad and into a confrontation with Lin Fei.
However, Lin Fei wouldn’t tolerate his antics. If Lin Fei didn’t have the capital, the trump card, he couldn’t leisurely watch Dragon Ball beside the TV. Since he had the trump card, why not use it? Lin Fei had no reason not to, particularly when facing the old man before him.
Lin Fei wasn’t going to die for showing off; he wouldn’t do such foolish things. Thus, Lin Fei directly used that power and brought Pang Tongfang under control. 𝓯𝓻𝒆𝙚𝒘𝓮𝙗𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝒍.𝙘𝓸𝙢
Pang Tongfang hastily said, "Lin Fei, I’m telling the truth, you can check. Pang Shang and his son have already taken three billion in funds and fled, leaving Mo Country!"
Upon hearing Pang Tongfang say this with such certainty, it seemed true. He hadn’t expected those two to abandon the family in its time of greatest need—what good men!
But Lin Fei didn’t know that Pang Tongfang had forced this situation. He originally intended Pang Shang and his son to take all the blame, so their departure was understandable as they lost patience with the Pang Family.
"It turns out to be like this." Lin Fei looked at Pang Tongfang, who likely wasn’t lying, so he chose to believe him for now, throwing Pang Tongfang to the ground as the Heaven and Earth Qi vanished as if it had never appeared.
Pang Tongfang stood up, dusting himself off, and said, "Lin Fei, I apologize for earlier. I acted rashly, living so many years for nothing."
Lin Fei found it odd for an old man like Pang Tongfang to apologize, but he didn’t mind, saying, "Tell me, what’s your proposal for cooperation?"
Lin Fei looked at Pang Tongfang with a mix of amusement; he was curious about Pang Tongfang’s next move.
Contrary to Lin Fei’s expectations, Pang Tongfang said, "Let’s handle matters as you suggested, giving you ninety percent of the shares, hoping you’ll spare our Pang Family."
Surprised by Pang Tongfang’s straightforward answer, Lin Fei asked, "Do you know what that means?"
"I know, with ninety percent of the shares, you effectively control our Pang Family..." Pang Tongfang said forlornly; it was his only option, or the Pang Family might be doomed.
Now, the only recourse was giving the entire Pang Family to Lin Fei, trusting that Lin Fei wouldn’t utterly destroy it, slowly reclaiming everything over time, though the wait would be long.
"Are you sure? If so, let’s sign the contract quickly. But I’m not intending to keep the ninety percent myself." Lin Fei said with a smile.
"You’re not? Who are you planning to give them to?" Pang Tongfang asked in surprise.
"Of course, to the nation. We are of this country; everything belongs to the nation. Since you’re offering them, I’ll hand them over. The country won’t mistreat your Pang Family; in the future, you should heed the nation’s commands." Lin Fei stated. If the Generals could control the Pang Family, the majority of Mo Country’s economy would fall into national hands, easing the Generals’ burdens.
Hearing Lin Fei’s words, Pang Tongfang was shocked yet puzzled; why could Lin Fei easily give away the Pang Family? However, thinking it through, entrusting the family to the nation at least meant survival and he remained the Family Head. With national support, the Pang Family’s extinction seemed unlikely.
With the decision made, Lin Fei, known for decisiveness, quickly resolved the contract. They both signed, then Lin Fei sent the contract to the Generals. After accepting it, the Generals signed a transfer document, resolving all issues.
"Lin Fei, thank you so much," Elder Qin said.
Lin Fei smiled, "Thanks to the Generals for taking care of me in the past; I have no way to repay except with this token, hoping the Generals are pleased." Lin Fei was grateful. If someone helped him, he would certainly reciprocate with goodwill, aiding them as long as he had strength.
Elder Qin chuckled, "Never expected you to be so understanding, Lin Fei. This gift is far from modest! For Mo Country, it’s substantial; on behalf of the elderly, thank you."
With the Pang Family’s resources, the Generals would control Mo Country’s economic lifeline, avoiding future passivity. As for the Pang Family, allowed to continue operations in all but smuggling, rights issues were cleared by Mu Shanshan, restoring the past.
Pang Tongfang dejectedly left Mu Shanshan’s office, disappearing into the crowd.
Lin Fei didn’t feel pity for Pang Tongfang; had he been truly pitiable, he wouldn’t have ignored his clan’s intent to encroach on New City initially.
