THE Knight's Hidden Princess-Chapter 214: The Dress Fitting
I stared at myself in the full length mirror, taking in the beautiful dress that I was wearing. Today was the fitting for my wedding gown and all I can saw was perfect.
The dress was gold colored one, not the deep one but the one that look just like the first rays of sunlight hitting the horizon. Gentle, warm and beautiful.
The dress fitted me in all the best places, the material cinched at my waist before it drifted down in a train of carefully embroidered lace. Whenever I move, the glitter on it shimmer when caught in the light, making me sparkly.
I slowly turned my shoulders, grateful that I had added weight in all the right places which enabled me to pull a dress like this off. This was a moment that I had always dreamed off and now it was finally happening. The best part was the fact that I had chosen this dress myself.
A dress I actually love and look forward to walking down the aisle with.
When Reagan sees this dress he is definitely going to lose his shit! Knowing my husband, he might call off the wedding and drag me off somewhere so he could figure out just how to get the dress off me.
Although that was going to be a little bit difficult. The dress had so many buttons, tiny pearly ones that went all the way down my spine. It had taken three assistants just before they could close them and to undo them, it would require time and patience.
Traits my husband lacks when it came to me!
The thought made me giggle and I had to use a hand to muffle the sound. Reagan was many things but having patience when I was concerned wasn’t one. Suppose he were to see me in this dress before we could have the ceremony, well I guess it’s safe to say there will be no ceremony at all.
He was going to be too occupied with finding the quickest means to get me out of this dress with nothing but his hands and teeth.
Oh my dear husband!
"And care to share what you are blushing about?" Heather asked me with a smile.
Ivana snorted. "A look like that on any woman can only mean one thing and trust me, it’s not meant for nun ears." She said this while shooting Ada who was busy spoon feeding Ivar.
The women I had grown a bond with were with me. Ivana seemed to be spending a lot of time here nowadays, ever since Reagan had named her as Ivar’s godmother. It was a lot better than having to spend time with Lord Skarde and his mood.
Ada rolled her eyes. "For the last time I am not a nun."
We all shared a look while mumbling things under our breath. Ada rolled her eyes again and mumbled something about us being silly as she continued to feed Ivar who looked happy and this time he was staring at me as if to say he approved of the dress.
Safe to say he will have his taste from me!
"So_" I whirled back around to look at the mirror, "What do we think of the dress?"
"It’s the one!" Ivana stated, "You look really stunning Dahlia." She replied with a smile on her face and I caught her eyes through the mirror while returning it with a smile of my own.
Heather nodded her head in approval. "It’s indeed gorgeous."
"The kind of dress that stays memorable, nice choice Dahlia."
"Lady Dahlia."
Ada just shrugged at Heather’s corrections. She always referred to me by my name, apparently the teaching of mount Callum still applied in my own home. Although I suspect she always does it just to get a rise out of Heather because whenever we are with other people she has no problem addressing me by title.
I chuckled when Heather narrowed her gaze at Ada and I knew the two of them would be having an argument about it later.
Smiling, I turned to look at the seamstress and nodded my head. "Thank you, you have done well."
I might as well have presented an award to the seamstress because the way her face lit up. "You are too kind with your words my lady." She replied then snapped her fingers.
The attendants immediately stepped forward and pulled up the screen shielding me from view as they began to help me out of the gown. As soon as I was hidden from view I could hear Ada and Heather bickering while Ivar cooed softly.
The attendants were quick to get me out of my dress and I wore the simple gown I had worn earlier before. When I was dressed, I stepped away from the screen and headed towards Ivar who watched me with curiosity but there was a small smile on his face.
Just as I reached for him the door opened with a soft creak. We all looked up just to see Celeste strolling inside, wearing a haughty expression on her face.
"My lady." Celeste greeted.
"Celeste." I greeted back with narrowed eyes because it was rare for her to ever address me by my title and there was also the fact that I was wondering just what exactly she was looking for.
Celeste looked around, her gaze landing on the seamstress who was busy packing up her things. "I see I wasn’t invited to the dress fitting."
"I didn’t think you would want to come." And besides, we are not that close for me to invite you!
Celeste smirked at me as if she heard my inner thoughts. "So you are getting married again?" 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
"Not again!" Ivana corrected sharply, "They are married, this one is more like a celebration of their love for each other."
A small smile graced Celeste’s face as she turned to stare at me with a look that I couldn’t quite decipher. "I guess congratulations are in order then, although I feel compelled with the need to ask you this." She said before stepped closer towards me.
"Are you certain you want to tie yourself again to a man with so many secrets?"
