The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse-Chapter 692: Meeting with Faction Leaders (1)
The next day, Klaus climbed the Stairway to Heaven, finally becoming an inner disciple. He quickly made his first plan known by calling a meeting with all faction leaders.
Initially, he wanted to focus only on his faction and the other two factions that chose not to fall into Hunter Duncan’s scheme.
However, after some thinking, he realized that would just be him being petty. He wouldn’t let his pettiness dictate his plans when he could instead forgive and keep a close eye on them.
Hunter Duncan and his cohorts had been sacked from all factions, so Klaus knew that was something he could work with.
His pettiness remained but was directed only toward the five whose families had come after him and his family.
In fact, Mason’s girlfriend, whose family also came after him, would be added to the plans if she proved worthy.
But Klaus wouldn’t go out of his way to focus his attention on her. There was a limit to his generosity, and there was a level of pettiness.
So, for now, Hunter and his cohort are out of his plans. As for their siblings, he knew they wouldn’t want to do anything that would provoke him, so they stayed far away from him.
So he called a meeting, and in attendance was Lucy, who had chosen to become his assistant whether he liked it or not.
She wanted to be by his side always, and Klaus didn’t object, so she became his assistant. She sat with Klaus at the head of the table.
On their right was Matt, the faction leader of the Yin-Yang Faction, who had become sworn brothers with Klaus a few months back.
Beside him was Vida Stronghold, the tall beauty Klaus had met when he sparred with his friends a few days ago.
Away from them are three identical beauties who Klaus is meeting for the first time.
"Triplets, huh?" A smile appeared on his face as he looked at the three identical triplets, who also held curious gazes as they studied him.
Klaus could sense a strong elemental energy radiating from them. In fact, he could see the energy coming from them as if they were made of the elements.
[This world of yours is truly wonderful. I can already see higher worlds coveting it once it’s discovered to house potentials like these.] The senior sighed.
[Brat, if I’m not mistaken, these three ladies are what you might call elementals. I know you can feel the energy around them, but since they haven’t awakened their bloodlines yet, they can only remain held back.
But there is no doubt these three are elementals.
Be sure to pay attention to them. If they awaken their bloodlines, this world won’t have just one elemental but three. And let me tell you, a fully grown elemental is more than an army can handle.]
’Hmm, this is to be expected. But what about the karma building up in this world? I think this is all the heavens’ scheming.’
[Whether they are involved or not, your world will be in trouble for having you. So do well to prepare, for that is all you can do.]
’Okay, senior,’ Klaus smiled at the three beauties.
"Kindly introduce yourselves. Beauties such as yourselves would, without a doubt, have beautiful names."
The triplets smiled at the same time.
"I am Aria, the oldest and an ice user." They all look the same. They have the same body shape and height; however, Aria has beautiful blue ice.
Before she awakened her ice element, she had brown eyes, the same as her sisters, but now, she has beautiful blue eyes.
Her body shape is also to die for. And there are three of her.
Lucy had to wrap her vines around Klaus’s leg before he nodded to her introduction.
"A beautiful name."
"I am Nova, the middle and a lightning user." Nova has red eyes that match her lightning, which is crimson in color.
"Nova, huh? It’s been a long time since I heard such a name," Klaus muttered, recalling one of the many beast companions he had in the small memory he had of his life in the 9th incarnation.
Nova was a beautiful rabbit-type beast with a lightning affinity, but hers was green in color. So, hearing such a name, his mind went back there.
From what he remembered, he and his beast companions were best friends and siblings, so this was a good memory for him.
Lucy squeezed his hand, feeling Klaus’s happiness.
"I am Stella, the youngest and a fire user." The last of the three introduced herself.
"Wait, can you harness your fire? I want to see something," Klaus had to ask.
If their eye colors match the color of the elements for which they have affinities, then does that mean she has a white flame, too?
Klaus has a white flame, which is one powerful flame.
"Damn, the Soul Corrupting Flame. One of the most beautiful yet sinister flames out there," Klaus was taken aback.
"So that is how it’s called?" Stella and her sisters asked.

"Yes. Were you ladies not aware of the nature of her flame?" Klaus asked, and they nodded.
"Unlike everyone who receives names and descriptions of their elements after they awaken, I never received mine. I also tried researching it but came out empty," Stella explained.
"I see," Klaus muttered and then summoned his white flame, the Soul Fury Flame.
"This is the Soul Fury Flame. It’s similar to yours but also different. The difference is simple. While mine is furious, yours is calm yet deadly.
It works against the soul directly, and from what I know of that flame, it’s meant to corrupt souls and take control over them.
You can then take their soul, and this soul will be turned into something called Corrupted Soul Spirits.
These soul spirits can be used as minions in battle. But there is more to that than I can say now.
They call it the perfect corruption since it’s a pure flame yet does impure things. Perhaps the reason why you never received a name and description was to prevent you from abusing it."
Klaus smiled, looking at the people in the room who were now paying attention to him. What he was saying was something they all wanted to hear.
They could already tell that Klaus had more experience than their instructors.
"You are a lucky lady, Stella. Later, come see me; I will teach you a way to use your flames more actively and, perhaps, get yourself two or three Corrupted Soul Spirits.
In fact, you and your sisters must see me after this meeting."
The three ladies, who were all leaders of the Aqua Spirit faction, nodded. Klaus sighed in his heart, knowing what happened next would be determined by how the heavens would react.
He looked at the next person and those after him, and a smile appeared on his face.
The remaining people were all individuals who had joined Hunter Duncan’s team. They were paid, but the fact that they joined his team was enough for Klaus to dislike them.
"You guys know I am not okay with you five, right? Normally, I was supposed to hate you all, but I am a bigger person and can recognize potential when I see it, so I called you here."
"But before we start, I have one warning, and I will say it only once."
