The Lich of Glory Knight Spirit: Moving towards Krimasha!-Chapter 233 - 05: Jones’s Marriage (3)_3
Chapter 233: Chapter 05: Jones’s Marriage (3)_3
As Bailey spoke, he raised his hand. Another sword flew from the wall into his hand.
Everyone unconsciously stepped back, making way for the duel in the middle of the dance floor.
It had to be said, Jones was truly unpopular. Among the guests, even those who didn’t know him were at least distant relatives. Yet, it seemed no one intended to intervene. More accurately, everyone was ready to see him get beaten up.
A seventy-year-old member of the Blood Clan challenging a one-hundred-and-thirty-year-old, whether in terms of physical strength or magic power, had no chance of winning. This was common sense. Moreover, the opponent was Jones, a prominent figure in his generation.
Aunt Sarah had already turned her face away, not watching.
Dora was scared out of her wits.
As for Susan, she couldn’t help but cheer for Bailey in her heart.
The two duelists held their swords, staring at each other, slowly pacing around the dance floor.
"Will you attack first, or should I?" Bailey asked with a smile, moving gracefully.
"It doesn’t matter, it makes no difference," Jones replied indifferently.
"The way you hold your sword seems a bit special?"
"This is the way to hold a sword in battle."
"Really? Have you fought in wars?"
"Yes, I’ve done nothing but fight wars in recent years."
"You don’t actually think you can defeat me with human swordsmanship, do you?"
"No, I plan to defeat you using the way of the Lich."
"The way of the Lich?" Bailey’s expression stiffened visibly, as he saw Jones take out a bone ring and put it on the hand holding the sword.
"I will punish you in the name of justice, you narcissistic fool! Holy Light Technique—!"
With a roar, a beam of Holy Light descended from the sky, piercing through the roof and hitting Bailey!
"My god! What is this?"
In an instant, everyone present was stunned. Even Bailey was dazed, starting to smoke all over.
Before he could react, Jones had already charged forward with his sword, sweeping horizontally at Bailey. With a "clang," Bailey barely blocked it, enveloped in Holy Light, but his condition was dire.
*Since when could a vampire’s condition not be dire while wrapped in Holy Light?*
The two were locked in a stalemate. Bailey was smoking all over, veins bulging on his forehead, his face becoming extraordinarily ferocious!
"You... you actually know how to use Holy Light Technique?"
"Maybe even more than that. Sacred Bindings!"
With another shout! Several large halos appeared around Bailey, quickly closing in on him. In the next moment, Bailey was bound by the halos, directly falling to the ground. His skin and clothing in contact with the halos started to burn.
"Ah—! Stop it! Stop it!" he screamed, struggling desperately.
With a "clang," Jones’s sword pressed deep into the ground next to Bailey’s cheek.
The entire world went silent. The Holy Light Technique and Sacred Bindings dissipated. Bailey lay on the ground in distress, looking fearfully at Jones, who was standing close to him, with a foot on his chest.
*Everyone around was stunned, including Aunt Sarah, including Susan, and including Dora. The whole world was quietly watching.*
*Everything happened so suddenly that none of the many people reacted in time.*
"So, how does it feel?" Jones revealed his only sincere smile of the night, "Next, you can share this with everyone; it’ll make for a nice new topic, won’t it? More interesting than your winemaking topic."
Saying this, Jones released his grip on the sword, stepping back step by step, exhaling angrily, looking at the stupefied Susan, and then at the surrounding Blood Clan members.
*In the large hall, it was silent. Everyone was watching Jones.*
*He took a deep breath and said loudly,* "This is my faith. Are you all satisfied now? Sorry, I must leave. Compared to here, I think the church and battlefield suit me better. Feel free to join me in prayer when you have time. I wish you all a wonderful evening! Music!"
The Blood Clan musicians wisely resumed playing the dance tunes. freēwēbηovel.c૦m
Amid the music, Jones left the hall in high spirits with Dora, under the stunned gaze of all.
