The Lich of Glory Knight Spirit: Moving towards Krimasha!-Chapter 674 - 4: Unknown Journey (Part 4)
Upon waking up again, Richie’s consciousness was already in the distant north.
A bare, ringed skull, a silver knight’s armor, and a cold, icy throne.
Yes, there were two Richies, one who had just arrived in Shisun City wearing a disguise robe, and the other sitting on the northern throne in the armor of the Silver Moon Knight Order. The switch between them relies on hibernation.
As Richie’s demon advisor, Sarina was kneeling on one knee under the throne.
Sarina quietly appeared beside Richie and softly said: "Lord of Lich King, your hibernation seems to be getting longer. Do you need me to..."
"No need, you go ahead with what I entrusted you." Richie waved his hand and stood up, then stepped down the steps: "Hibernation helps me accumulate magic power, you don’t need to worry about this."
As he spoke, Richie had already walked past Sarina.
"Sarina understands." Sarina slightly lowered her head.
Reaching the center of the great hall, Richie chanted a spell.
A space portal quickly appeared in front of him. Without hesitation, he lifted his leg and walked in.
This was a spell Gray had never mastered before, but to the current Richie, it couldn’t be simpler.
Yes, his growth was extremely rapid, so fast it’s beyond everyone’s imagination.
...
The north wind swept across without restraint, and the Silver Moon’s flag flapped loudly in the wind.
The powerful Undead Army stood in the blizzard, many completely covered in thick snow and ice.
Within the fortress recently carved out in the depths of the army, a space portal slowly opened.
Richie walked out from the space portal.
In the messy laboratory, Bailey, who was engrossed in experimenting, poked his head out from behind the lab bench: "Hey, you reached Shisun City?"
"Yes." Richie nodded and walked to Bailey’s side.
"Did you see that guy? I mean that insect." Bailey retracted his head and continued with his experiment.
"I saw him, already settled in. He agreed to help arrange a meeting with Pegasus, but it must be through his queen insect."
"Oh, that’s quite smooth then."
"Or maybe... not so smooth, his words were very ambiguous. He said Pegasus is indeed in Shisun City, but he couldn’t provide any evidence. He himself has never seen Pegasus."
"Hmm... so you suspect him?"
"It’s a reasonable suspicion, isn’t it? How about your side? Any progress?" Richie said as he glanced at the lopsided containers on the lab bench.
"No." Bailey, with his back to Richie, scratched his bare skull: "It’s too complicated, mainly... particularly cumbersome. I have every reason to suspect that Pegasus took at least ten thousand years to make that thing. Ten thousand years... that’s a very long time even for an immortal species."
After a pause, Bailey added: "Glassley is also working on it, but I think even if the two of us do it together, it won’t speed up a bit. There are too many things that need to be verified. If a mistake is made, I wouldn’t even know where it went wrong. I’m trying to understand some of the nuances in it."
"It seems the only way to obtain the Echidna is to find Pegasus."
"We might need more than just finding Pegasus. In fact, I still can’t figure out what exactly this thing is. Are we sure we want to summon something sealed in the abyss, of which we only have knowledge from legends and books? I think it’s no different from summoning an Outer God."
"But we have no better choice, do we?" Richie shrugged.
Bailey glanced back at him and then turned his head back around.
About half a year ago, Glassley, the Crasher and core strength of the White Bone Holy Light Court, obtained an ancient "blueprint" related to a terrifying weapon sealed in the abyss.
The designer of the weapon was a long-retired ancient demon—Pegasus.
Recreating this weapon or finding Pegasus and obtaining the "Echidna" he holds would greatly influence the battlefield.
Coincidentally, Bailey had once obtained crucial information about Pegasus—this was the reason Richie went to Shisun City.
"Your frequent hibernation, did Sarina and Delia suspect you?" Bailey asked as he fiddled with glass bottles.
"No, I told them I needed hibernation to enhance my magic power. My magic power has indeed increased rapidly." Richie replied: "Even if they are suspicious, what can they do? They can’t possibly trace where my consciousness goes."
"You have complete talent, truly enviable. Gahaha. Honestly, your character might be more suited to being on the side of demons. After all, I’ve never seen such a character among the forces of justice. You even refuse to trust your Guardian Angel and demon advisor, I’ve never heard of Gray doubting Catherine and Vivian."
"So what? Uncle Bailey, will you continue to support me?"
"Of course I will. We are at a disadvantage, and we should be more cautious when disadvantaged."
"Thank you, Uncle Bailey." Richie said softly.
...
In the blink of an eye, Richie arrived at a place similar to a war council room, where more than a dozen Great Liches, including Bruto, were gathered.
"The wars on the eastern and southern fronts are still ongoing, we just lost 30,000 troops. What’s frustrating is that the Abyss guys didn’t make a move again! Not just the Abyss, the Golden Dragon just pretended to act this time as well! I’m almost furious!"
"Honestly, when I cast the meteor shower, I really wanted to drop one on their heads too!"
