The Lust Lord Librarian-Chapter 15: A Deal With A Father
After Penelope left the library, Adal had to clean her mess and change the sheets.
He didn’t mind this. After all, her pleasure liquids continued to radiate faint waves of Lust Mana.
It gave him a chance to test out Mana Burst.
...
The push was incredibly powerful and erupted invisibly from his palm like strong winds.
He managed to succeed in creating an even greater mess in his room; toppling over shelves and desks from the burst.
Adal sighed.
Guess the rest of the day will be spent tidying...
---
The next day, Adal received a visitor that he was happy to see.
As he was atop a ladder, trying to reach for a shelf on the top shelf, a voice called out to him from below.
"You must be Adal Alexanderus? My daughter has spoken much about you and your library."
Adal looked down to find a well-dressed man, tall and burly, standing beside a brown-haired beauty.
He recognised the blushing face of the woman as Juliette, which must have meant that the man was her father.
Leonard Everstone.
Adal climbed down from the ladder and greeted them both with a bow.
"Good morning, what can I do for the Everstone Family?" He asked, confused as to why such a man had been bought there.
Through research, Adal had found out that the Everstone Family were such of the largest investors in Magical Item Extraction Raids, which meant that they helped provide financial support to parties who dove into dangerous areas in search of Artefacts.
In other words, he was rich and powerful.
The large man looked Adal eye to eye with his arms crossed. Muscles bulged through the sleeves of his brown suit.
"According to my daughter, you can do a lot for us? She swears that I should invest in this library, but I just can’t see why."
Adal looked sideways at Juliette. She had a cute smile on her face.
Ma’am, I respect that you’re trying to help me gain status, but I don’t remember agreeing to this.
What can I possibly do for your father?
Still, Adal thought fast. He was an intelligent man. One who could come up with ideas on the spot.
He showed the man a kind smile and nodded his head.
"Yes sir. I am currently writing my debut book that I believe will become a great talking topic within the kingdom."
Even Juliette looked surprised at this. She had no idea that Adal wished to become an author.
Little did she know that most of the books in the library were written by none other than himself.
Leonard looked at him with a raised brow.
"Oh, you are a scholar? Do you understand that you will be trying to rival some of the greatest minds the kingdom has to offer? I suppose you have some sort of theory that you think will change the world?" The man guessed.
But he was wrong.
"No, sir. My book is entirely fictional. A tale about a world that does not truly exist."
Except, it does. Earth is very much real.
Leonard paused for a few moments.
Then, he laughed.
The sound was so loud that it disturbed all of the other readers in the library, yet the man didn’t seem to care at all.
"A fictional tale? Juliette, you have brought me here to invest in a storyteller?"
The man laughed again. He couldn’t believe what he was saying.
"F-father..." Juliette stuttered, feeling sorry for the librarian.
But Adal simply stood there, completely unbothered.
Eventually, his words cut the man off.
"Mister Everstone, let’s make a deal."
Leonard Everstone could hardly stop laughing, but he managed to speak through it. "Sure, what sort of deal can a storyteller offer me?"
"I will give you the first draft of my story, and you will read it. If you can return to me and laugh at my storytelling afterwards, I will give you the Alexandrus Library building for free."
The man’s laughter stopped immediately.
He looked at Adal, as if he had heard him incorrectly.
"You are serious?" He asked.
Adal nodded his head immediately.
"Then fetch it right away. This will be the easiest real estate I have earned in my life."
...
With that, Adal headed upstairs alone and shuffled through his hundred drafts of stories that he had not yet released to the library.
He had intended to eventually release them under a false name, as he always did, but now he had an opportunity to earn status.
There was a novel that he was entirely confident that once it was released, it would create waves in the fictional space once it was released.
He would call it, The Karamazov Siblings.
With the draft in hand, Adal headed downstairs to where he had left the father and daughter drinking tea.
Once he placed it down on the table, it made a giant thud. It was a very large book.
Leonard flicked through the pages with a look of surprise on his face.
"A chunky book. You must be fast with the typewriter." He said with another laugh.
Adal remained silent. Now that the deal was on, there was nothing else for him to say.
The man downed his tea in a gulp and rose to his feet with the draft in hand.
"Well then, I will return in a week to claim my new building. Let us leave, Juliette, the chariot is waiting outside."
"I will be out in just a moment, Father. I must have a few words with the librarian."
Leonard looked at his daughter sideways, with a careful look on his face.
"Fine, just remember, a married woman should not be seen talking to other men in public. I will wait in the chariot"
Then, the man left them alone.
Juliette blushed to herself.
If only he knew that this Librarian has already seen me naked, whilst my husband was only just downstairs...
"Is there something I can do for you, Juliette?" Adal asked curiously.
The woman was drawn from her Lustful thoughts.
"O-oh, sorry. Adal, why did you create such a deal with my father? If you have done your research, you must know that he is extremely hard to please."
Adal wasn’t disturbed by her words. It was because of his research that he was so confident in taking such a deal.
"Don’t worry. By next week, I am certain that your father will become my first investor."
