The Lustful Villain: Every Milfs and Gilfs are Mine!-Chapter 78. Psychological Dominance?! (Now I can Abuse That To Cuck Everyone!)
Rex opened his eyes in the dark room before the first light of dawn had broken. Lily was still asleep next to him.
Her breathing was deep and steady, and she was completely worn out from the night’s activities in a way that only comes from being very satisfied and emotionally drained.
For a moment, Rex lay still, taking stock of how he felt and how the room looked. The closet door was still closed, just like it had been when he left it a few hours earlier after killing Marcus.
The noises coming from behind it had stopped around midnight. That was to be expected, but the body could only do so much, and Marcus had reached his limit.
"Ah shit... I have to ditch the body somewhere else, but... no one fucking cares if a bandit dies." Rex sighed. "But still... if I let it stay there, it’s going to smell so fucking bad."
Rex carefully sat up so as not to wake Lily. He got dressed in the dark like someone who had done it many times before.
His clothes were plain and useful, so if someone saw him walking through the village before dawn, they wouldn’t remember him or stand out.
He walked up to the closet and slowly opened it, knowing what he would find inside.
Marcus’s body was completely still, slumped in the corner where Rex had left him tied up and gagged. His eyes were open, but he couldn’t see anything.
His face was frozen in a look of horror and despair. The fabric Rex used to gag him was soaked, and the ropes around his wrists had cut deep grooves into his skin from his struggles.
"Gotta make sure that snap on his neck isn’t enough to kill him, and it sure did..." Rex didn’t feel anything when he looked at it.
There’s no happiness because he’s already satisfied making love with Lily, and of course he didn’t feel guilty about it, just because he had a mindset about ’the strong stand tall while the weak stand down eating shit.’
Still, he felt the problem had been solved, a variable that had been removed, and now it needed to be thrown away.
"I hope you hear me, Marcus, whether your soul is trying to hunt me or not; please try to inform the gods about me so that I can at least face a real threat." Rex smirks. "Even if they care about someone as worthless as you."
He used his telekinesis to carefully lift the body, keeping it a few inches off the ground so it wouldn’t make any scraping sounds. He was able to handle the weight, which was lighter than the oak tree he had thrown at Kruger, and he moved it toward the window with practiced ease.
Rex opened the window quietly and led Marcus’s body through it and down to the ground outside.
A moment later, he followed, using his telekinesis to soften his own landing. Then he walked through the empty streets of the ruined village with the corpse floating behind him like a creepy puppet.
The inn was about 200 meters away from the river, which was a good-sized waterway that connected to the bigger network that eventually led to the capital.
Rex had checked it out a few days earlier when he first explored the area and made a note of its depth and current for just this kind of situation.
When he got to the bank, he pushed the body out over the water until it was roughly in the middle of the current. Then he started to use his telekinesis to push down, which made Marcus’s body sink below the surface.
At first, the water fought back because the human body is naturally buoyant, but Rex just pushed harder. He pushed the body down five feet, then ten, then fifteen, forcing it into the soft riverbed and using his strength to scoop out the mud and silt around it.
Within minutes, Marcus was buried under three feet of river sediment in the deepest part of the channel. No one could see him, and nothing but a dedicated search with special tools could get to him.
Rex stood on the bank and watched the water flow over the grave for a moment. He was pleased that there were no visible problems, then he turned around and started walking back to the village.
"That should do it... trash belongs in the trash."
It wasn’t until he was halfway home that his mind changed, and a notification popped up in his mind’s eye with the same feeling as when the system updated.
[SPECIAL ACHIEVEMENT UNLOCKED: PSYCHOLOGICAL DOMINANCE MAXIMUM]
[BONUS CONDITION MET: TARGET WITNESSED COMPLETE REPLACEMENT BY SUPERIOR]
[MARCUS (ELIMINATED) - LILY VON STARLIGHT DEVOTION REINFORCED THROUGH CONTRAST]
[BONUS DESIRE ENERGY AWARDED: 1000 POINTS]
[DESIRE GENERATED FROM LILY: 150 POINTS]
[CURRENT TOTAL ENERGY: 2000 POINTS]
Rex stopped walking, and a slow smile spread across his face as he saw a thousand points. The system had rewarded him not only for getting rid of a rival but also for the way he did it: by making Marcus watch as Lily gave herself completely to someone else and driving home how completely he had lost before the end.
"So you can do that, huh...? That seems like a totally abusive and overpowered mechanic, doesn’t it?"
[IT FEELS WRONG AND FUCKED UP, BUT IT’S WHAT MAKES THE DESIRE PEAK]
[AND YOU CAN ABUSE IT]
[AS LONG AS SOMEONE IS IN LOVE WITH THE WOMEN YOU MADE LOVE WITH OR IT’S A FAMILY MEMBER THAT ONLY WATCHED AND EVEN ENJOYED IT]
[THAT’S WHAT YOU CALL PSYCHOLOGICAL DOMINANCE]
Rex’s body starts shaking, and it was because of the pure happiness that made him realize he can have so much power to abuse that ’psychological dominance.’
He laughed. "HAHAHAHAHAHAHA...!!! I FEEL ALL THE POWER KNOWING THAT NOW!" Rex clenched both his fists.
"Then I’ll make sure to fully utilize that mechanic!"
"Psychological dominance," Rex said to himself. "I like how you put that."
He started walking again, but his mind was already on what to do with the energy. Three thousand points for Infinite Regeneration was still too much, but with two thousand points, there were other choices.
He could buy many smaller abilities or save the energy for something he might need on the trip to the capital.
The choice could wait for now because he had other matters to attend to.
His current objective is to head to Kruger’s bandit camp before going back to the inn.
Kruger’s bandit camp was northeast of the village, about an hour’s walk away at a normal pace. Rex hadn’t been there since he hired them three days ago, and there was a good chance that useful information had been left behind in the chaos of the raid.
Maybe some information about Mordecai Vrael. Or about the network that sends out the Demon Seed. Or just about who else in the area might have been affected by the vials.
It could all be useful in the future, and the early morning hours before the rest of the village woke up were the best time to do that kind of search without having to explain himself to anyone.
Rex started jogging, using small bursts of telekinesis to speed up just enough to make the trip faster without anyone noticing.
As he left the village behind, the forest closed in on him. When he got to the clearing where the bandits had set up camp, the morning birds were just starting to sing.
...
The camp was a huge mess.
That was Rex’s first impression as he stepped into the clearing and took in the scattered debris. Tents had been half-collapsed and abandoned, cooking fires left to burn out where they stood, and supplies scattered across the ground in a way that suggested people had grabbed what they could carry and fled without bothering to organize anything.
It was wise of them to do that, as their leader had just been killed in the village after becoming a demon. The bandits who had endured this would have understood that remaining in one place would result in death.
Rex started to move around the camp in an orderly way, looking through each tent and pile of supplies for anything that might be useful. Most of it was the usual stuff for bandits: stolen goods, trash weapons, and enough canned food to last a few weeks.
Nothing that stands out.
He was three tents deep into his search when he heard the noise.
It was quiet, almost too quiet to hear, but his Foresight had already shown him what was going to happen. So when the figure jumped out from behind one of the bigger tents with a rusty sword raised above his head, he was ready.
Rex stepped to the side without thinking, letting the blade pass harmlessly through the space where he had been standing.
Then, with his telekinesis, he pulled the weapon out of the attacker’s hands. It flew across the clearing and hit a tree trunk with a loud thud.
"Nice try."
The bandit, who was now unarmed, stared at Rex with wide eyes that were more desperate than dangerous. He was young, maybe nineteen or twenty, and his thin, sickly body made it look like he had become a bandit out of necessity rather than choice.
"Please," the bandit began to beg while kneeling to Rex.
"Try to beg like a dog."
