The Lustful Villain: Every Milfs and Gilfs are Mine!-Chapter 95. Lustia Said ’Opportunity.’ She Meant ’Demon Army at 3AM.
The interface blinked and then disappeared, and the three powers flowed into Rex like liquid light. He felt the three powers integrate with his existing abilities, settling alongside his foresight, telekinesis, and the Lustful Villain transformation.
"Now... that’s some good SHIT!" Rex powered up by releasing many shockwaves around his body, where Lustia could feel them.
For a moment, it was too much for him. His mind suddenly realized things he had never been able to do before.
He could feel the power to change his body like clay, to move through space like walking through an open door, and to grab the magic threads that ran through reality and shape them into whatever he wanted.
"Fuck yeah," Rex said. "Now this is... what I really wanted for my future plans."
"The shapeshifting is going to be a game changer because I can just cause chaos with every reincarnator body to make them the villain." Rex clenched both his fists. "But of course... I really need to examine them to their fullest to create a perfect replica."
"That’s better." Lustia laughed because she was pleased with how he reacted. "Now you’re ready for what’s coming."
"Huh...?" Rex asked again. "What’s coming?" 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺
"Opportunity," Lustia said. "C’mere... you need to pay for all that..."
She pulled him down to kiss him, and it was not like the usual way. This was a goodbye, a send-off, and a blessing wrapped in desire.
When she pulled back, her smile was proud and predatory. "Do it now, my apostle."
"This is the moment you’ve been waiting for."
"Don’t ever think about it too much... just go and follow your true DESIRE."
And the world dissolved.
...
Rex’s eyes flew open to a mess.
He first noticed the noise. The noise was not the calm of a sleeping inn, but the loud sound of emergency sirens cutting through the night.
He could hear far-off shouts, the sound of armor and weapons clanging together, and the organized chaos of quick movement.
The second thing he saw was light. Red light, harsh and unnatural, came in through his window from outside.
"What the fuck is that...? Had the demon already ambushed this place?" He was already up and moving before he realized it.
In three steps, he crossed the room and looked out the window at the city.
And what he just said was true that the demons were attacking Aethelgard while everyone was asleep; consider it an ambush attack from their sly minds.
Rex could see parts of the outer wall lit up by explosions and magical fire from his third-floor window. The defensive wards that usually gave off a soft glow of protection were now glowing brightly and pushing back against whatever was hitting them from the outside.
"Pathetic... they’re not ready enough, but still... it’s those reincarnators’ job who want to be heroes to step in now."
There was an army outside the walls, and he could see it even from this distance.
Demons. A lot of them.
There were more things there than Rex had ever seen or thought of. They filled the fields outside the city like a living tide.
Some were small and imp-like, while others were huge brutes that stood twenty feet tall. Demons with leathery wings flew around in circles above, catching the light of the fire.
Rex’s Foresight turned on by itself, showing him dozens of possible futures that could happen from this point on. In most of them, the city’s defenses worked.
There were hundreds of strong knights inside who would respond to this threat. The walls were strong, and the guards were well-trained.
But he saw chances in a few branches. Chaos was a ladder, and this kind of big attack would make it easier for him to take advantage of gaps in attention.
"So this is the opportunity Lustia talked about," Rex said to himself. "This is it..."
"My mind starts working again now because I had a clear visual of it."
He stepped away from the window and took a moment to think. The attack had just begun, so it would take hours to find a solution.
He had time to watch, pick out targets, and make his move when the time was right.
His mind was buzzing with new skills, ready to unleash their power. If he could change shape, he could maneuver through the chaos undetected.
He could get anywhere he needed to be right away with teleportation, and energy manipulation would give him more ways to attack and defend than just telekinesis.
And most importantly, his Lustful Villain form would let him do things without having to connect them to Rex Rexilion.
He quickly put on dark, practical clothes that would blend in with the shadows and went to the door. There was a lot going on at the inn, with guests and staff members rushing around in different states of panic or getting ready.
Using his foresight, Rex slipped past them, circumnavigating the building until he was outside.
The streets of Aethelgard were transforming into a battlefield. City guards were establishing defensive lines at key intersections.
People were being escorted to designated shelters. Meanwhile, mages were preparing to launch attacks from a distance by positioning themselves on rooftops.
He could see bigger groups getting ready to move from the Academy, which was probably the organized response from Valentina and the more powerful residents.
Rex found a quiet alley and climbed to the rooftops, because of his improved physical abilities, the climb was easy. From this higher ground, he could see the battle much more clearly.
The walls on the outside were holding, but just barely. The defenses were being breached by the sheer number of attacks, even though most of the demons were being killed or pushed back.
Several parts were clearly damaged, with cracks and scars from impacts on the stone. And then many defenders showed up.
Rex saw the Starlight family come onto the field. Helena’s magic was easy to spot right away: huge spells that wiped out whole groups of demons with elemental rage.
Fire, ice, lightning, and earth are all used with the skill of years of practice. Diana was on the walls, and her arrows hit demon eyes and throats with machine-like accuracy.
Elliot was at the front gates, and his sword work was clean and brutal as he cut through any demons that got past the first line of defense.
"Lily’s not here...?" Rex noticed that.
And there was also the Nightwing family, which was also easy to see.
Aurelia commanded a formidable presence on the battlefield. Her bare hands and feet hit with enough force to break bones and crush demon skulls. Iris moved like a shadow, honing her assassination skills to fight in the open as she went after demon commanders and broke up their formations.
Even Morwanna and Elaris could be seen, with the older women using magic that came from years of knowledge and power.
And the reincarnators were spread out among the defenders.
Rex’s system pinged all the time as it found dozens of people using powers given to them by different systems and blessings. He saw someone use gravity to crush demons into the ground.
Another made walls of force that demons broke against, and then another one moved at a speed that was almost as fast as Evelyn’s, leaving behind piles of dead demons.
"There’s that asshole..." Rex smirks when he sees Apollo Brightsoul is in the middle of one of the biggest groups of demons.
Rex was right. The golden-haired hero was just as gross in battle as he had thought.
He fought with the kind of selfless bravery that makes for outstanding stories. He put himself between demons and civilians, took hits meant for weaker defenders, and inspired others with shouts of encouragement and real concern for their safety.
His nine harem members fought with him in perfect harmony, each one making up for his weaknesses and making his strengths even stronger.
Behind him, the warrior woman with red hair acted as a formidable barrier.
With a shower of fire, the mage annihilated enemy formations.
The healer used bursts of healing magic every so often to keep everyone in fighting shape.
The elven archer gave precise support fire.
The others filled different tactical roles with the kind of practiced efficiency that showed they had all fought together a lot before.
Rex watched them fight for a few minutes and then he remembered how they fought. He paid attention to how Apollo moved, reacted, and acted.
All of this information will be valuable when he eventually addresses that issue.
But Apollo wasn’t the goal for him tonight.
Rex was looking for something else.
