The Maid's Deception-Chapter 49 - 48: Possession
DAMIEN’S POV
Three days had passed since the night in the hot spring, and Damien had spent every moment of that time thinking about Aria. About the way she’d clung to him. About the tears in her eyes. About how close she’d been to confessing everything.
But she hadn’t. And time was still running out.
His contact at the hospital had sent another update that morning:
Patient Mei Chen’s condition continues to deteriorate. Doctor now estimates 3 weeks without intervention. Recommend immediate action.
Three weeks. Less than a month before Aria would be desperate enough to make a move.
Which meant he needed to accelerate his plan. Needed to bind her to him so completely that when the truth finally came out, she’d be too invested to run.
Tonight’s business event was the perfect opportunity.
Marcus Reynolds knocked on his study door at 4 PM. "Mr. Blackwood, everything is prepared for tonight. The caterers are setting up now, and your guests will begin arriving at 7."
"Good. And the other thing I asked for?"
Marcus handed him a small black box. "As requested. Though I have to say, sir, this seems.....risky."
"Everything worth having involves risk." Damien opened the box, checking that the rose gold vibrator was fully charged. "Make sure Sarah Mitchell is assigned to serve tonight. And that she has one of the formal uniforms. The fitted ones."
"Sir..." Marcus hesitated. "Are you sure about this? If anyone notices..."
"No one will notice. Unless she loses control." Damien’s smile was dark. "Which would be unfortunate for her."
Marcus looked uncomfortable but nodded. "As you wish. I’ll inform Mrs. Chen."
After Marcus left, Damien pulled out his phone and sent a text to the number he’d been using to communicate with Aria.
Tonight there’s a business event at the estate. You’ll be serving. Come to my study at 6 PM before it starts. I have something for you.
Her response came quickly: Is this really necessary? I’ve never served a formal event before.
You’ll do fine. Just follow Mrs. Chen’s instructions. And come to my study first. Don’t be late.
Yes, sir.
The "sir" made him smile. She was learning. Slowly but surely, she was learning to submit to him in ways that went beyond the physical.
ARIA’S POV
Aria stood outside Damien’s study at exactly 6 PM, her stomach in knots.
A business event. With important guests. Where she’d be expected to serve drinks and appetizers while acting like she hadn’t spent the last three nights sleeping in Damien’s bed, hadn’t been falling apart in his arms, hadn’t been falling hopelessly in love with him.
This was dangerous. Someone might recognize her. Might ask questions. Might.....
She forced herself to knock before her anxiety could spiral further.
"Come in."
She pushed the door open. Damien stood by his desk in an impeccably tailored charcoal suit, looking every inch the powerful CEO. Her breath caught at the sight of him.
"Close the door. Lock it."
She obeyed, her hands trembling slightly.
"You look beautiful," he said, his eyes traveling over her slowly. The formal uniform was indeed fitted.....a black dress that hugged her curves, more elegant than her usual maid’s attire. "Perfect for tonight."
"Thank you. Damien, I’m nervous about this. What if I mess up? What if....."
"You won’t mess up. You’re capable and intelligent and perfectly able to serve drinks to a few business associates." He crossed to her, his hand cupping her face. "But there is one thing that might make it more.....challenging."
Her stomach dropped. "What?"
He pulled a familiar black box from his pocket. "You’re going to wear this tonight. For the entire event."
Aria’s eyes widened. "No. Damien, I can’t. Not with all those people..."
"Yes, you can. And you will." His voice was firm but not unkind. "Because I want to see you struggle to maintain your composure. Want to know that underneath that professional exterior, you’re falling apart for me. That I have that power over you even when we’re surrounded by others."
"What if someone notices?"
"Then you’ll have to work harder to hide it." His thumb brushed across her lower lip. "But no one will notice unless you let them. And I know you’re stronger than that."
"Damien....."
"This isn’t a negotiation, Aria." The use of her real name sent a shiver through her. "Now lift your dress."
She wanted to refuse. Wanted to draw a line. But looking into his eyes.....seeing the challenge there, the trust that she could handle this.....she found herself obeying.
With shaking hands, she gathered the skirt of her dress and lifted it to her waist.
"Good girl. Panties down."
She hooked her fingers into the waistband and pushed them down to mid-thigh, her face burning with embarrassment despite everything they’d already done together.
Damien knelt in front of her, taking the vibrator from the box. "Spread your legs wider."
She did, and he positioned the device carefully, easing it inside her with practiced movements. It slid in easily.....her body had learned to accommodate it.
"How does it feel?" he asked, adjusting it slightly.
"Full. Conspicuous. Like everyone will know..."
"No one will know." He pulled her panties back up, then smoothed her dress down. "Only you and I. Our secret."
He stood and pulled out his phone, opening the app that controlled the device. "I’ll keep it on low throughout most of the evening. Just enough to keep you aware. To remind you who owns your pleasure."
"And if you turn it up?"
His smile was wicked. "Then you’ll have to work very hard to keep serving drinks with a straight face, won’t you?"
She wanted to be angry. Wanted to protest. But the look in his eyes.....the possessive heat, the challenge, the underlying care.....made it impossible.
"Who are these guests?" she asked instead.
"Business associates. Potential investors. A few social acquaintances I’m obligated to entertain." He tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. "No one important. No one who matters more than you do."
The casual way he said it....like she was the most important person in his world.....made her chest tight.
"Damien, I...."
"Go," he interrupted gently, before she could say something dangerous. "Mrs. Chen is waiting to brief you. I’ll see you when the guests arrive."
She nodded and turned to leave, acutely aware of the device inside her with each step.
At the door, she paused. "Damien?"
"Yes?"
"Please....." She swallowed hard. "Please don’t make me lose control in front of everyone. Please."
His expression softened slightly. "I won’t push you beyond what you can handle. I promise. Trust me."
Trust me. Those words again. The constant request. The thing he wanted more than anything else from her.
The thing she still couldn’t fully give.
"Okay," she whispered, and left before he could see the tears threatening to spill.
DAMIEN’S POV - 7 PM
The guests began arriving promptly at 7. Damien greeted them with his usual polished charm.....handshakes, small talk, the performance of being Damien Blackwood, billionaire CEO.
But his attention was entirely focused on the woman moving through the room with a tray of champagne glasses.
Aria looked stunning in the formal uniform, professional and elegant. No one looking at her would guess that she was struggling to maintain composure. That she had a vibrator inside her that he controlled. That she was his in ways none of these people could imagine.
He’d kept it on the lowest setting so far.....just enough to remind her, not enough to distract. He watched her serve drinks, smile politely at guests, play the perfect maid.
Then Marcus Reynolds approached, and Damien decided to test her control.
He adjusted his phone in his pocket, increasing the intensity to medium.
Across the room, Aria’s hand trembled slightly as she offered a champagne glass to an older businessman. She recovered quickly, but Damien saw it. Saw the way her breath hitched. The way her thighs pressed together instinctively.
Perfect.
"...the merger timeline?" Marcus was saying. "The board wants to move forward by....."
"Extend it another month," Damien said, not taking his eyes off Aria. "I want more due diligence."
"But sir, the market conditions....."
"I said extend it." His tone left no room for argument.
Marcus nodded and moved away, and Damien crossed the room slowly, deliberately positioning himself near where Aria was serving.
She saw him coming and her eyes widened slightly. Pleading. Don’t. Not now. Not here.
He increased the intensity to high.
ARIA’S POV
Aria nearly dropped her tray when the vibrations suddenly spiked. She managed to set it down on a nearby table before her hands could shake too badly, but the pleasure building between her thighs was becoming impossible to ignore.
She pressed her lips together hard, trying to breathe through it, trying to think about anything except the insistent buzz inside her.
"Excuse me, miss?"
She turned. A man in his mid-thirties, handsome in a conventional way, was smiling at her. One of Damien’s business associates.
"Yes, sir?" Her voice was strained, but she managed to sound relatively normal.
"Could I get another glass of champagne? And perhaps...." He paused, his smile turning slightly flirtatious. "Perhaps you could tell me your name? I don’t believe I’ve seen you at these events before."
"Sarah," she managed, reaching for a fresh glass with trembling hands. The vibrations were relentless, building pleasure that she couldn’t release, couldn’t acknowledge, couldn’t....
"Sarah. Beautiful name for a beautiful woman." He took the glass from her, his fingers deliberately brushing against hers. "I’m James Worthington. I work with Damien on the tech acquisitions."
"Nice to meet you, sir." She tried to step back, tried to escape, but he moved with her.
"You know, Damien usually has much older staff at these events. It’s refreshing to see such a lovely young face. Tell me, have you worked here long?"
She opened her mouth to respond, but at that exact moment, the vibrations increased to maximum.
Aria gasped, her hand flying to grip the edge of the table beside her. Her knees threatened to buckle, pleasure spiking so intensely she could barely breathe.
"Are you alright?" James asked, concerned. "You look....."
"I’m fine," she managed through gritted teeth. "Just.....excuse me..."
She fled toward the kitchen, barely making it through the door before her knees gave out. She braced herself against the counter, panting, desperate, so close to orgasm she could taste it.....
And then the vibrations stopped.
Completely.
She stood there shaking, unfulfilled, frustrated beyond measure, when Mrs. Chen appeared.
"Sarah? Are you ill? You look flushed."
"I’m...I’m fine. Just need a moment."
"You need to get back out there. Mr. Blackwood specifically requested you for this event." Mrs. Chen’s sharp eyes studied her. "Can you continue?"
No. She couldn’t. She was falling apart. But she nodded anyway.
"Good. Take this tray. And try to avoid Mr. Worthington. He has a reputation for being....." Mrs. Chen paused delicately. "...overly friendly with the staff."
Aria took the tray and returned to the main room on shaking legs.
Damien was across the room in conversation with two older men, but his eyes tracked her immediately. The look he gave her was dark, possessive, and unmistakably furious.
Because James Worthington had touched her. Had flirted with her. Had looked at what was his.
And Aria realized with a sinking feeling that tonight was about to get much worse.
