The Martial Unity-Chapter 2776: The Next Destination
It was only after Rui was completely done with not only the breakthroughs and Hellbringer model but also giving them the Hungry Pain technique that he was finally done with all his commitments to the Blood Cult.
"I appreciate everything you have done for the Blood Cult," the Blood Lord remarked as he saw them off at the entrance of the Blood Cult.
Rui scoffed. "I highly doubt that."
And just like that, Rui took off, unwilling to remain in the Blood Valley for too long. Amare followed suit as the Blood Goddess threw one last murderous glare of bloodlust at the Blood Lord before following the two of them.
Rui surged away from the Blood Valley at top speed, unwilling to remain in the disgusting place for much longer.
It was only after he had completely passed the entire place that he was finally satisfied enough to lower his pace.
"Wait up…!" Amare arrived at his side with a surprised expression. "You’ve gotten even faster!"
The blood evolution treatment had improved his physical upper limit tremendously, giving Amare and even her supreme mastery of power a run for their money.
WHOOSH!
The Blood Goddess appeared behind them with her blood wings donned, attached to her back, flapping them as she tried to keep up with the speedy Rui and Amare.
"Why are you guys traveling so fast?" the Blood Goddess asked with a curious tone. "But more importantly…"
She breathed in deeply, taking a long, deep breath. "How long has it been since I went outside?"
"Years…" the Blood Goddess enjoyed the cool winds brushing across her body, face, and her blood-red hair.
The warmth of the sun tickled her pale skin, soothing her senses.
The filtered air systems of the Blood Cult and her chamber did the trick, but they simply could not compare to the fresh air of the outside world.
"I have missed this sorely." She remarked. "I look forward to spending the upcoming months and years traveling this continent with you two."
"I look forward to spending time with you, too," Amare smiled with delight. Continue your journey with novelbuddy
Rui didn’t reply, simply setting forth as they traveled to the sky.
"ROOOAAARRR!!!"
"RAAAWWWRRR!!!"
"KRRRIIIEEEKKK!!!"
The beast tides reigned unhampered, raging through the Human Domain to demolish all human establishment.
"So this is the Beast Incursion…" the Blood Goddess murmured. "Unbelievable."
It was a shocking sight for anybody that bore witness to it. While Amare and Rui had grown accustomed to it, the Blood Goddess found it difficult to process how much human civilization had changed in just a span of several years.
The Beast Incursion had thoroughly rewritten the continent in every way possible, wiping out a substantial proportion of all human beings on the continent. The loss of life had already reached incalculable levels in terms of both life and capital. Not even the Beggar’s Sect could provide an absolutely accurate and full account of everything that had been lost to the Beast Incursion.
"So this is…" the Blood Goddess turned to two of them in front of her, "…what you have been fighting against?"
"Indirectly, yes," Rui humored her question. "I have been strengthening Martial Art while she strengthens the people. Barring the Sage-level powerhouses, for the people of this nation tend not to be receptive to her help."
"…I see," the Blood Goddess murmured. "So both of you have a role in your journey across humanity. Then… what is your role?"
"You don’t need a role to join us," Amare comforted her. "You should only do what you can for yourself and the people you care about."
She fell into thought. "The people I care about…"
She cared about her stolen progeny, but most of them had already been entirely brainwashed by the Blood Cult to the point that they would not be taken away from her. Given that the cult didn’t treat most of its members badly, she had decided that it would cause them less suffering to simply stay.
She cared about her newest friend, Amare, who had been extremely helpful emotionally helped her gain a little clarity in the future,e and was the reason that she was outside. She also cared about Rui, even though he didn’t care about her as a person, because he was the one who actually set her free.
"Hmmm…"
"For now, make sure you don’t come into any serious harm, got it?" Rui raised an eyebrow. "I’m serious. If you are harmed, it might affect your reproductive capabilities, and that is the absolute worst thing you can do to human civilization."
Rui stressed her safety above all else. Her eggs were a priceless treasure in his eyes, he couldn’t allow any harm to befall on her. Still, he wasn’t too worried that anything would happen to her, for she was strong. On top of that, he was there and would ensure that nothing would happen to her.
On top of that, the Divine Doctor would probably be able to undo immense damage, for that man could heal basically any and everything.
"Where are we heading next?" Amare asked with a curious expression.
"…The Heaven Sect," Rui replied. "One of two more Sage-level powerhouses in West Panama."
"The Heaven Sect," Amare fell into thought. "They specialize In heaven-bending, right?"
"Correct," Rui replied. "They’re also… annoying to deal with."

The Heaven Sect was one of three Sage-level powerhouses who were willing to let the quasi-Transcendents wash over the entire world and destroy half of what was left of human civilization.
In other words, this was a powerhouse that didn’t care all that much for the Solution of Harmony. They reluctantly agreed verbally, but as Rui knew from experience, verbal promises meant nothing. He would need to go there in person and ensure that these fellows fell into line. His job was essentially a Sage-level powerhouse chaperone to make sure that the Solution of Harmony was implemented by all Sages.
"When we get there, I want absolutely zero mentions of your reproductive compatibility with human beings, got it?" Rui raised an eyebrow. "No mentions to it, no hints, nothing. If they find out, I don’t know if I will be able to protect you or not."
