The Martial Unity-Chapter 2810: Familial Spars
Your next journey awaits at novelbuddy
While human civilization as a whole had deteriorated tremendously as a whole, there were certain nations that did much better than the others. The Sage-level powerhouses were largely able to maintain law and order even if many of them were in dark states as far as morale and economic prosperity went.
Most nations had entered into a state of mercantilism where goods and services had begun being produced within nations as international trade had been exponentially reduced due to the Beast Incursion.
The Bradt-Kandria Seafaring Enterprise had long commenced with maximum capacity that continuously expanded with each year, trying to supply essentials to all nations around the world.
Food. Martial resources. Military esoteric technological resources. Energy.
These four categories of supplies accounted for more than ninety percent of all trade across the world through the calm and tranquil Great Nam Ocean.
The islands off the coasts of the Beast Domain had committed massively in an enormous slew of treaties and covenants to help the mainland continent through its crisis by volunteering immense support to the mainland with Martial support, supplies inventory, and transportation.
This was not done out of generosity.
The nations on the smaller island continents off the mega Panama Continent were much weaker than the nations of the Panama Continent.
There were very few Sage-level nations among them. In fact, there were very few Master-level powerhouses among them either. Many of these nations still were in their Reign of the Master Realm.
The reason was rather simple.
The Progenitor has covered the Panama Continent but had not gone any further. Thus, the islands had never gotten Martial Art originally. They also began their martial development after the Age of Martial Art began, drastically leaving them behind. It was also one of the reasons that tribes like the G’ak’arkan Tribe were stuck in the Senior Realm for a long time.

That, in addition to less esoteric resources, also greatly slowed down their progress. They did not have the power to stop the Beast Incursion, which would eventually cross the waters and reach them if the main continent failed.
Thus, they obediently aided the main continent in any way they could.
Sage-level powerhouses benefited the most from this arrangement since they held the greatest amount of power sway over the lesser nations. And among all the Sage-level powerhouses in the entire world, the Kandrian Empire has flourished the most amid this apocalypse.
For one, it was the only nation with absolute security.
There was absolutely no chance that anything even remotely bad could happen with the sheer amount of security there was protecting the nation from the beast tides. With nearly four hundred Martial Masters and twenty-six Sages, the Kandrian Empire has long reached a state of peaceful security even amid the energized Beast Incursion.
The Sages spent most of their time refining their anti-beast measures in the manifold for the time of the Solution of Harmony while the Masters singlehandedly took care of the Beast Incursion.
The appearance of the Abyssal Dragon had put pressure on the Sages for the herculean task that they would be undertaking in the Beast Domain.
Slaying every quasi-Transcendent monster.
Slaying the beast that triggered the Beast Incursion at the very epicenter of the Beast Incursion.
The latter was far beyond the abilities of ordinary Sages or even ordinary peak Sages.
It was a task that only the four strongest Sages in the entire world could possibly handle.
The Devil.
The Boundless Light.
The Reverend of Reckoning.
The Demon of Asmodeous.
They were the only ones qualified to take on the monster at the very epicenter.
That didn’t mean that the other Sages didn’t also have an extraordinarily difficult task either. All of them would be facing beasts in their home court, and it would be extraordinarily grueling.
That was why many of them underwent hellish training for when that time would occur.
Like grinding in the manifold.
Fighting the beasts without their Martial Minds.
Or, in Kane’s case, fighting his Devil of a father.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!!!
A thundering blast of unfathomable power struck the land, causing a tremendous eruption.
It was an attack Kane barely managed to evade.
And yet, his green eyes flared with determination as he lunged back in with fearsome speed, coupled with a wind-like fluidity.
WHOOSH!
The very fabric of space and time warped under the sheer speed at which he moved as his daggers surged toward his father’s neck at blinding velocities.
CLASP
His eyes widened with an expression of shock as his father effortlessly caught his wrist inches before it could reach him.
"Soft!" his father snapped before launching an onslaught of blows upon his son with tremendous weight.
BOOOOOOOM BOOOOOOOM BOOOOOOOM!!!
Kane grimaced as the attacks launched him away, and yet, within a moment, he had already landed on his feet and aggressively surged forth with tremendous speeds, launching a flurry of lethal blade attacks.
His father grinned wildly. "That’s the spirit! Come at me like you’re trying to kill me!"
He threw an extraordinarily powerful blow that would have ended Kane had it landed.
And yet, it didn’t.
WHOOSH
Time slowed down in Kane’s eyes as he adjusted his trajectory ahead of time with well-timed bursts of materia prima, smoothly slipping about his father’s attack before surging in towards his unguarded with a bloodlusted attack.
A dangerous attack.
But alas, his opponent was none other than his father.
Kane’s eyes widened as his attack froze right before reaching his father.
Suddenly, all his momentum was gone.
As was the force in his muscles accelerating his attack.
The inertia of motion was also gone.
"What…?" A stunned whisper escaped him.
BOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMM!!!
The Devil blasted him away, leaving him bruised and wounded as their long and intense sparring session came to an end.
"What the hell was that…?" Kane groaned as he got up. "I didn’t know you had incapacitation techniques."
"It wasn’t." His father grinned. "I just ’destroyed’ your attack. It didn’t matter how strong it was. I just simply ’destroyed’ the attack itself, causing it to cease to exist!"
