"Pfft haha, just kidding," Jason said not willing to sour the mood. Luckily, it seemed the man was in a good mood as well as he began laughing and chuckling along with Jason, gesturing for him to come in.

Jason took a look around at this place. Very opulent, and yet very minimalistic. It showed just how much he loved money and power. It showed the man Troy was.

The dimly lit space reeked of indulgence—a heady mix of alcohol, expensive cologne, and the faint metallic tang of sweat. Opposite him, Troy, ever the picture of controlled chaos, was taking a body shot from a scantily clad woman whose laughter tinkled like wind chimes.

Looking closer at the women, Jason had to say that Troy had good taste. She was stunning, her sun-kissed skin gleaming under the soft glow of the chandelier. Her body moved with feline grace, every curve a deliberate temptation.

Jason smirked, his thoughts swirling.

Even Troy knows how to unwind, he mused. But to celebrate before something happened instead of after was a bit... interesting was it not? Or was Troy so sure of himself that he felt he had nothing to worry about?

And that lady laying there with the beautiful skin that Troy was licking like a parched man in a desert… Well, she was equally stunning. But as his eyes met hers, a flicker of crimson warmed her cheeks, and she turned away quickly as if embarrassed by being seen like this. Even the other one had an expectant look as she gazed at Jason.

Jason could tell that these were not faked. They were looks of genuine appreciation. His aura was growing stronger every day, and he knew it. The invisible force of influence that seemed to radiate from him was no longer subtle; it was palpable, bending those around him to his unspoken will.

He liked the power that he exuded. And he knew he could put it to good use this time too.

Aura, a concept he was only beginning to grasp, wasn’t just an abstract force. It was real, a hidden current of dominance that most people could not wield or even had an understanding of. See, everyone had Aura. This was not something fake. It was the truth.

Aura was the bio-electromagnetic radiation that was released by every cell in the body working together to manifest a person’s intended reality.

But because Aura and thoughts were the same kind of stuff, bio-electromagnetic energy, then it made sure of one thing. Intentioned Thoughts and Actions were perfectly placed to be the thing that guided Aura in the right direction to manifest reality and influence others.

When people met others who were just a bit more charismatic, able to bend anyone to their will, they never understood that this was Aura. When people met others who seemed to be able to accomplish the impossible just by sheer force of will, they never understood that this too was Aura.

Jason was only beginning to touch the surface of what this feeling, this energy inside him was, and it was already showing itself in his life. He knew that if he mastered it it would lead to him becoming unstoppable in negotiation, seduction, and even subtle intimidation.

The world, as he saw it, was divided into those who wielded influence and those who succumbed to it. And since Aura was a weapon he could use in Influencing people, then he would learn to use it to the best of his abilities.

As Troy swaggered over, licking his lips and fixing up his clothes, which were ruffled at some places and bulging at others, Jason broke from his reverie. "Living the life, aren’t you?" Jason teased, his voice smooth and tinged with irony.

Troy grinned, wiping the remnants of tequila from his lips. "And you’re not? I hear you’ve got a certain Veronica warming your bed these days."

Wow… how much did this guy know about his life? Or maybe he was just probing? No, Jason and Veronica were pretty open these days. If he put someone out there to watch he would have seen the hugs, the kisses… And they were going to see more going forward. Jason was not going to hide anything from the world after all. He had no shame about the people in his life.

Jason chuckled, his response measured, his tone laced with intrigue. "Veronica is a special woman to me. The life she and I are living is... a different kind of good life, Troy. One I’ve earned."

The words hung in the air, charged with subtle dominance. By framing his success as a deserved reward, he subtly invited admiration and curiosity, maybe even a bit of envy from Troy. He was the type of man who earned the things he got, that was what he was saying.

Troy’s smile faltered slightly, but he quickly recovered, nodding in acknowledgement. "Fair enough," he said, his voice tinged with respect. Jason smirked when he heard those words.

He was sure that Troy was intelligent and he knew that that meant the man understood what Jason was saying. He was able to keep his composure regardless. Maybe because he had nothing to prove. Or maybe because it was a probe at how Jason would react to being spied on. Whatever.

The tension shifted as Draco lingered by the door, his dragon tattoo gleaming in the faint light. Jason’s gaze sharpened. Why the hell was he stil here? It was time to see if this was an asset or a liability.

"Draco, come in," he commanded, his tone brooking no argument. Troy’s eyebrow went up, but he did not say anything against it. And Draco? He obeyed it instantly, walking in and exposing himself to the two scantily clad women and the men sitting at the table.

"Boss Troy, Jason..." Draco said with nods to both people. Jason inwardly smirked. This guy might have signed his death seal without even knowing it. But still, seeing how his movements were a bit cautious, Jason understood immediately that Draco was a bit scared. Why so scared Draco? Unless you did something bad...

Jason leaned forward towards Troy, his demeanour that of an old friend, his presence filling the room. "Draco here has been asking questions about the pills," Jason began, his voice calm yet laden with an undercurrent of warning. "I’m curious how much he knows. And how much he might want to know still."

Troy’s expression darkened as he turned to Draco. "Speak," he ordered.

Draco’s voice wavered slightly. "Boss, it wasn’t just me. I heard things from others. People are talking, and I… I just put two and two together. The pills only appeared after you met Jason. It wasn’t hard to figure out."

The room fell silent, the weight of Draco’s words hanging heavy in the air. Jason leaned back, observing Troy’s reaction. The man’s face was a mask of cold calculation, but his eyes burned with fury. It seemed Jason was about to see something interesting.

Draco must have seen that face many times before because he started stuttering out all sorts of excuses, his face showing a fear he rarely had revealed before.

"B-boss, please. I would never say anything… I was just asking if I could get some from Jason at a cheap price, little did I know he would find it suspicious and tell on me. I wanted to at least have a taste of them or maybe sell them after the auction. If I had bad intentions, Jason would have never made it to this room."

Jason blinked a few times. Wow. So he has called him a snitch and a weakling all while trying to diffuse the situation.

How funny.
