The Master Programmer-Chapter 170: Unfair Desires 2
The next morning, Jason Cross reclined on the plush leather chair in his study, savouring the first rays of dawn creeping through the half-drawn curtains. He smirked as he thought of Isabella, her shy yet assertive charm intoxicating him like fine wine. The memory of her straddling him, her lips whispering promises of forever, teased his thoughts.
But forever was a word Jason never trusted before. Not fully anyway. At least not with people he didn’t trust he had fully controlled.
But with Isabella, Jason knew that she would forever be with him. He knew it now better than ever. She was going to be his and only his. And yet at the same time, Jason told himself to never be complacent. Isabella was a human too. She had needs that she required Jason to be around to meet too. He had to take things seriously at all times, he had to always be emotionally present, to give without looking to receive.
For that is what love was right?
Did he love this girl?
The scent of coffee interrupted his musings. Isabella, in her crisp nurse’s uniform, entered the room holding a tray with breakfast. Her caramel skin glowed under the soft morning light, and her gentle smile carried an allure that made Jason’s chest tighten. She set the tray on the desk, her eyes sparkling with unspoken affection.
The difference between who she was normally, and who she became in the bedroom was something that always made Jason inwardly chuckle at just how funny things were. How could there be such an incredible dichotomy?
"I have to go to work," she said softly, but there was hesitation in her tone as though she wished to linger. Jason gazed at her deeply and then held her arms, smiling at her gently.
Jason took a bite of the toast and then leaned in, pulling her closer by the waist. "Stay a little longer," he whispered, his voice a mix of warmth and dominance, a tone designed to disarm and entice.
Isabella’s cheeks flushed, and she shook her head half-heartedly. "Jason, you know I can’t." Even though she said this she did not let herself get out of his grasp, rather she let him take her in.

He kissed her cheek, then her lips, savouring the taste of her protests fading into compliance. "Go save lives, my Angel. I’ll see you later."
As she walked out, looking back at him with a smile, Jason’s phone buzzed. The screen displayed a new deposit of $340 million into his crypto account.
Jason chuckled, holding his head up to the air in interest. Money, women, power—each piece was falling into place. But satisfaction was fleeting; there were still shadows to conquer.
Thinking this far, he figured he might as well drive her to her work. And to do this much he was going to do exactly that. It was at that moment that Jason then walked over, and stopped her.
"Let me drive you to work," Jason said with a smile on his face.
Isabella looked back at Jason and smirked. "I’d love that."
Jason drove her to work, letting her get out when they arrived at the hospital. After she arrived, she looked out into the distance where she saw a bunch of people, and they were all walking by walking into the hospital and walking out calmly. This place never really changed.
Isabella turned to Jason and gave him a quick peck on his lips. Jason chuckled, seeing the reluctance in her gaze. She might be another reason why he should buy that house. If he did they would be able to see each other more. She gave him a hug, whimpering on his shoulder.
"Dont miss me too much, okay, little girl?" Jason said to her in a way that brought a smile to her face.
"Too late… I already am." Isabella said before landing another kiss on Jason. Jason then watched her as she left, and with a chuckle, he turned back and hopped into the car.
The drive to Veronica’s estate was quiet, save for the soft hum of the engine. As Jason pulled into the driveway, a curious sight greeted him. Samantha’s sleek black car was parked alongside Veronica’s. Stepping inside, he was greeted by muffled voices and laughter coming from the upstairs hallway.
Jason’s curiosity piqued as he ascended the staircase. He stopped outside the door to Veronica’s bedroom, where the voices grew clearer.
"Veronica, I still can’t believe this is where you and Jason...you know?" Samantha’s voice held a teasing lilt.
"For heaven’s sake, Samantha!" Veronica’s exasperation was evident, though Jason could imagine the faint blush on her elegant face.
"Oh, relax. It’s just girl talk. By the way, your shower’s amazing. Care to join me?"
Jason stifled a laugh as he imagined Veronica’s wide-eyed reaction. He decided to make his presence known, knocking sharply on the door before stepping in. The sight before him was unexpectedly amusing. Veronica stood in a satin robe, her black hair tumbling in soft waves over her shoulders, while Samantha lounged on the bed, her sharp blonde bob framing her mischievous smirk.
"Ladies, I hope I’m not interrupting," Jason said, his voice smooth as silk. Although from the image you sent me last night… I would love to be interrupting something…
Veronica’s eyes widened. "Jason! What are you doing here? Did you hear what we were speaking about before?"
Samantha’s smirk deepened as her gaze raked over him. "Always a man of impeccable timing, aren’t you?" She then turned to Veronica. "So you gave him the keys too? Veronica… you and Jason are just incredible."
Jason’s lips curved into a faint smile. "A man of perfect timing… Always. But don’t let me intrude on your...bonding time."
He turned to leave, but Samantha’s voice stopped him. "Don’t leave on my account. In fact, why don’t you join us?" Jason heard those words and in his mind, he shook his head. Ever the troublemaker. She was doing this on purpose too, just trying to get a reaction out of him and Veronica.
Jason arched a brow, glancing at Veronica, whose glare could have melted steel. "Tempting, but I have other matters to attend to. Enjoy your morning, ladies."
After Jason left, the ladies turned to each other and Samantha smirked with a shrug. "Hey, you can’t blame me, right? I just wanted to see if he still had some energy after doing who knows what to that poor girl."
Veronica shook her head, heading over to shower. "You just like causing trouble. Samantha, Jason might tolerate it right now, but who knows about the future? You have to make things clear with him or else things won’t go well for you."
Samantha heard those words and looked at Veronica’s retreating. Why was she willing to share him like this?! Was it wrong for her to try to sow some discord, or make Jason qualify himself? She wanted to have Jason all to herself. It was not enough for him to have a lot of women. He had to only have her in his life. Nothing else mattered
Meanwhile, Jason was driving down the road, totally calm after everything. He was glad Samantha and Veronica were bonding. But he was also sure that Samantha was doing things behind the scenes, trying to sow discord.
He would have to deal with her soon. Before then… maybe he should check out what was going on with the other one.
Jason’s next stop was Emily’s place. She answered the door in an oversized anime T-shirt, her hair a messy halo around her flushed face. The sight of her innocence mixed with her subtle allure never failed to amuse him.
"Jason?" she asked her voice groggy but laced with excitement.
"Let me in," he said, his tone firm yet playful.
She stepped aside, her cheeks reddening as he entered. "I haven’t cleaned up yet, so don’t say anything, okay?"
Jason chuckled as he entered, seeing the slightly messy place with cup ramen and bottles everywhere. "You never clean up. I know this already."
"Hey!!" She said to him in indignation and he laughed, shaking his head. Isabella was so fucking cute. It was actually annoying just how cute she was.
They settled on her bed, her head resting on his shoulder as he recounted the previous night’s events. He omitted no detail, his words giving her a real image of everything that happened on the day of the auction, the power plays, and the subtle dangers lurking in every corner.
As he spoke, Emily’s expression shifted from fascination to unease, something Jason noticed without fail.
"Jason. What you’re involved in is so dangerous..." she whispered, her fingers clutching his arm. "Please be safe."
He chuckled, pressing a kiss to her temple. "Danger’s where the fun is, Emily. And I’ll always be safe. I’m more worried about you." After saying that he then smirked.
"By the way. I have something for you."
