Following the visit, the monster kingdom continued with other matters, such as setting up outposts, and expansion of their capital further and further.

With the number they had at the moment, the number of monsters living in the capital was around five thousand, and the number would only increase over time.

That aside, the dragon god temple was now completely completed, and the official commemoration was set to take place not long after.

The morning of the ceremony dawned bright and clear, the skies painted in hues of gold and blue as the city bustled with excitement. The Dragon Temple stood majestically at the heart of it all, its golden spires shimmering under the sunlight.

Vibrant banners adorned the streets, and the air buzzed with a mixture of awe and anticipation.

Lance stood at the base of the temple steps, dressed in a ceremonial attire of white, red, and gold. Aelyndra stood beside him in her human form, her regal demeanor drawing as much attention as the temple itself. Around them were Rynne, Mira, Zarra, Kaeli, and Lia, each dressed in intricate garments symbolizing their roles within the kingdom as elders. Rusak and the rest of the leaders of the other races and elders also stood around.

The citizens looked on with pride as Lance addressed the crowd.

"Today," Lance began, his voice carrying over the gathered masses, "we celebrate more than the completion of this temple. We celebrate what it represents: unity, strength, and the continuation of the vision of a future where all monster races can thrive under one united banner, a vision that I can say has already been achieved." Listening to those words, the crowd was thrown into an uproar as they cheered, their voices a resounding affirmation of his words.

As the speech concluded, it was time for the ritual to officially consecrate the temple. Lia and a few others stepped forward, their roles as spiritual leaders central to the ceremony.

Lia raised her hands, her voice ringing out with reverence. "We dedicate this temple to the Dragon God. May it serve as a place of strength and guidance, uniting us in purpose and resolve. Let this temple be a sanctuary for all who seek peace."

Before she got to speak, several incantations were done in favour of tradition of the different races.

Together, they activated the magical inscriptions lining the temple's walls, their combined magic creating a brilliant almost rainbow light that illuminated the structure from within. The crowd gasped in awe as the light burst outward, bathing the sky and entire surrounding in a warm, ethereal glow.

The ceremony soon gave way to a grand feast to celebrate.

The celebration stretched on into the night, soaked with laughter and cheers that echoed through the capital as citizens reveled in their accomplishment. The temple's golden spires gleamed with a cold beautiful light under the moonlight, its ethereal glow captivating all who gazed upon it.

Lance stood among his people, his golden eyes reflecting the torchlight as he watched everything, having a good time himself. Yet, beneath the festive air, an unusual energy stirred in the atmosphere, a subtle but unmistakable hum that seemed to emanate from the temple itself.

Lia, approached Lance with a furrowed brow immediately. "Do you feel that?" she asked, her voice laced with both awe and concern.

Lance turned to her as he had been watching the temple as if expecting something. "Yes… something here…" He muttered, his sentence incomplete. The hum grew louder, more rhythmic, as if the temple itself were alive as they watched. By then, only a few people had also felt the change and paid attention.

"It's coming," Lance said, stepping closer to the temple.

Aelyndra, her golden eyes narrowing, looked toward the temple with a mix of reverence and apprehension. "This isn't ordinary magic energy," she said. "It's... divine."

Lance opened his mouth to say something, but before he could respond, the ground beneath their feet trembled lightly, drawing the attention of the crowd. The chatter and laughter faded into murmurs as everyone turned toward the temple.

Then, a brilliant, radiant light erupted from the temple's spires, rising up until it pierced the night sky. Gasps of awe and fear rippled through the crowd as after many seconds, the light descended slowly, settling above the temple like a blazing sun.

"Is this..." Rynne whispered, shielding her eyes from the brightness.

"The dragon god," Aelyndra confirmed, her voice trembling slightly. "His power... it's manifesting?"

The light pulsed, and a deep, resonant voice echoed in the minds of all present, not in words, but in feelings of calm, strength, and purpose. The crowd fell silent, their awe-struck gazes fixed on the glowing orb of light and energy.

Suddenly, beams of light shot out from the orb, streaking through the crowd and landing on select individuals. Each beam enveloped its target in a soft golden glow, lifting them slightly off the ground for a couple of seconds, and then fading.

Lance watched in stunned silence as the light settled on several individuals, including his closest companions.

Rynne, Mira, Zarra, and Kaeli all got enveloped by this light. Even then, Lia's light was the most dazzling, her form enveloped in a golden aura that pulsed faintly. She even floated for a moment longer than the others.

As the last beam of light faded, Lance stepped forward, his gaze shifting between those before him and the awe-struck crowd.

"What just happened?" he asked, his voice steady but laced with urgency.

Aelyndra placed a hand on his shoulder, her expression solemn. "The dragon god has blessed them. Think of it as a form of lesser blessing when compared to yours."

Lance's golden eyes widened. 'Is this like those events where after building a tower for the god, he blesses you as reward? There was also this function…' He thought to himself, almost busting into a little laugh.

"Being blessed like this, it means they're destined for something greater now," Aelyndra said. "Lucky to be under you, enjoying such privileges."

Lance went ahead to explain what had happened to the people, and immediately, the crowd, initially stunned, began to cheer and celebrate the event. To them, this was a sign of the kingdom's divine favor, a message that their path was righteous and protected.

Rynne clenched her fists, marveling at the surge of strength coursing through her. "I feel... unstoppable," she said, her voice filled with awe. "Is this what dragons feel like all the time?" She said, making those around her laugh.

As the night wore on and the crowd dispersed, Lance gathered his harem for a discussion.

"This changes things," he said, his tone serious. "You've all been given a gift, but it comes with responsibility. I don't believe the dragon god will act without purpose." Though he said that, from his own personal experience, he truthfully didn't believe that even the destruction of the planet they were in would mean much to the existence of the dragon god.

Following his words, Rynne said firmly. "We'll be ready."

Lia nodded. "Whatever is expected of us, we'll rise to the challenge."

Mira placed a reassuring hand on Lance's arm. "We're in this together, Lance. Just as we always have been."

"Yeah, besides, as soon as you made that oath yourself, we already were. This doesn't change anything actually." Zarra said, waving her hand as she crashed on the soft cushion.

Aelyndra, standing slightly apart, observed the group with a faint smile. "You're all stronger now, in more ways than one. The dragon god sees something in each of you. Don't waste it."
