The Necromancer is amassing troops like crazy in the apocalypse-Chapter 392 - 328 - Not Familiar with Him
Chapter 392 -328: Not Familiar with Him
Upon hearing this news, Wu Heng furrowed his brows.
Why had these kinds of envelopes appeared again?
Or could it be that this time, the pirates’ lone association ship was also related to these envelopes?
“Where are you now?”
“The route? We’ve circled around to avoid being spotted by anyone, and now we’re moving away from Cock-Tail Island,” said Philippa.
After thinking for a moment, Wu Heng spoke, “Head to Cock-Tail Island now, I’ll be there soon, and we’ll talk in person.”
“If you come after dark and the other crew members see your ship, how am I supposed to explain?” Philippa exclaimed in surprise.
“I have a way to get there in advance.”
“Alright! If you don’t make it before nightfall, I’ll take my leave with my people, and don’t blame me for it. I am not without constraints,” Philippa sighed.
Wu Heng didn’t say much more and hung up directly.
Downstairs, lunch was already prepared.
After a quick bite, he chatted with Mini for a moment.
Then he left his dwelling, found a secluded place, put on the “Conductor’s Hat,” and boarded the train.
He was on his way to Cock-Tail Island.
…
The Phantom Train, on the way to Cock-Tail Island, only took a little over 20 minutes.
Upon Wu Heng’s arrival,
He waited for three to four hours before he finally saw the ‘Iron Barrel Pirate Group’s’ ship approaching from a distance.
As the ship docked,
Philippa disembarked from the deck with the Blazing Blade in hand, a parrot perched on her shoulder, looking around like a thief. After gesturing for the crew to go back, she headed straight for the center of the island.
When she reached a rundown wooden hut in the center, she let the parrot fly to keep watch on the roof.

She then pushed the door and entered the room.
As soon as she opened the door, she saw Wu Heng seated inside, along with two attendants who were well disguised.
A smile squeezed onto her face immediately, and she said respectfully and softly, “Deputy Steward.”
Wu Heng nodded, “Sit down!”
Philippa sat on a rock opposite him.
Wu Heng continued, “Where’s the letter? Let me see it.”
“Oh, right!” Philippa pulled out the envelope and handed it over forthwith.
Wu Heng glanced at the Space Ring on Philippa’s hand, who instantly covered it, looking as if she was afraid it would be snatched away.
There was no need to guess anymore; the person who had stripped the Poison Blade Pirate Group of their gear was ‘Philippa’ herself.
Her actions were indeed ruthless.
The legs of Captain Poison Blade were blown off, and she almost savagely managed to decapitate the man.
Wu Heng didn’t inquire about the ring.
He didn’t lack such things, so he took the envelope and started to examine it.
It was indeed identical to the blank envelope he had obtained before, in length, width, and the feel of the paper.
Similarly, looking at this envelope did not provide any panel description.
This meant that the envelope and the paper were not props or Special Items but were distributed to these pirates by some other prop.
It was as if someone omnipotent at sea knew the routes of all the trade fleets, as well as the movements of the association ships.
The person behind this had indeed become a mystery.
“How about it? Is it the kind you were looking for?” Philippa leaned in and asked.
Wu Heng nodded, “Indeed, it is that kind. However, it’s impossible to determine who sent the envelope. You should be more cautious in the future. If you have related intelligence or if you receive such an envelope, notify me immediately.”
“Oh, of course! You can count on me to handle things,” Philippa patted her chest confidently.
Wu Heng returned the envelope to her as a reference so that she wouldn’t forget about it upon seeing it next time.
Then he continued, “The intelligence was delivered very timely, and you handled it well. This is for you; recruit some new crew members when the time comes.”
With a flick of his hand, five barrels appeared beside him, filled to the brim with silver coins.
Pirate bounties, in fact, are not very high.
What is most valuable is the wealth and ships that pirates plunder.
The amount given to “Philippa” was not excessive, but she had already received quite a bit the last time she left her post.
Seeing Wu Heng take out so much money again,
Philippa immediately revealed a smile, being an undercover was truly delightful, she had acquired quite a sum from the pirates.
And now, Wu Heng had given her a pile of money.
Her mother lived in that small village and probably had never seen so much money in her entire life.
Upon receiving the silver coins, Philippa continued and asked, “Lord, how is my mother doing?”
As for Philippa’s mother, Wu Heng hadn’t paid much attention to her recently.
He said, “When you left, I had someone take her out of prison. She wanted to return to the village, but I didn’t agree, and she is currently arranged to stay in the association’s dormitory.”
Philippa immediately said, “She can’t go back. She has always been rather timid by nature. If she were to return, she would be ostracized and bullied by the villagers, and she would not survive for long.”
Wu Heng understood her meaning.
He said, “Do your job well, and I will buy her a property on Gold and Silver Island. She can run a small business there and maintain a normal life.”
“That’s fine, just don’t let her go back to the village.” Philippa said.
After finishing the conversation about her mother,
Philippa leaned forward again, her face filled with curiosity as she asked, “I don’t need that device that destroys ships anymore, but what about that small device used by the ranks of skeletons on deck? Can’t you give me one of those? I am doing your work for you. What if I’m in danger?”
She was referring to a rifle.
Wu Heng thought about it—Philippa was now a captain, but her actual strength was indeed lacking, and currently, the Blazing Blade and the skeletons were protecting her.
If she faced danger alone, it would surely be troublesome.
He had plenty of rifles and submachine guns, but he was worried they would be circulated outside, and someone might disassemble and reproduce them.
After all, freighters and cargo ships had already been made.
Firearms and cannons, as long as one researched in that direction, were not difficult to replicate.
After thinking, he still took a rifle from his Space Ring and placed it on the table.
Philippa’s eyes immediately lit up, and before Wu Heng could speak, she hastily grabbed it, “How do I use this? Is it like a crossbow arrow?”
Avoiding the direction of the muzzle, Wu Heng grasped her hand and said, “Don’t point the muzzle toward yourself or your comrades. There’s a possibility of misfire with this thing, and you would be at a loss if you shot yourself dead.”
Philippa realized she had been too excited, and chuckled, “Hmm, got it.”
Wu Heng held the rifle, explaining the safety and use methods, and simultaneously said, “The method of use is just like this. Only I have this weapon, so don’t show it in public. If someone finds out, they might easily guess the connection between you and me.”
“Damn it! If I can’t use it, then why did you give it to me?”
“Use it to protect yourself in case of danger. If someday you really face unavoidable peril, there’s no need to care so much. Use the method I taught you, aim directly and fire. Anything below level 15 can be turned into a sieve.”
Hearing that it could kill targets below level 15, Philippa got excited again.
A weapon capable of killing a fourth-tier professional face-to-face.
That was indeed a treasure.
She smiled and looked up, “Thank you.”
“These are the bullets, remember to switch them out, and also, don’t give this weapon to outsiders, not even a single piece of ammunition,” Wu Heng instructed again.
“I understand. Such a tool, I would be a fool to give it to someone else.” Philippa stored away the gun and the bullets.
“Alright, that’s all for now. After you go back, your bounty will increase. Be more careful in the future.” Wu Heng advised.
“Got it! You sound just like my mom.” Philippa muttered, then proposed, “Can I change the name of the Pirate Group? The name ‘Iron Barrel’ is so ugly.”
“Isn’t that the name left by your father?” asked Wu Heng.
“I’m not close with him! I got on the ship to save my mom in the first place.”
“Don’t change it for now; the main job is collecting intelligence, not really expecting you to run a pirate group. Why care so much about the name?”
“Fine then, you’re the Boss, what you say goes!” said Philippa.
The two continued their conversation for a while and decided to use Cock-Tail Island as the future meeting spot for exchanging goods.
Philippa walked out of the stone house, and the Green Parrot flew down from the roof.
Chattering, it exclaimed, “Man, you like men.”
“Shut up, you silly bird.”
“Captain, silly bird,” mimicked the parrot.
“You’re the silly bird!” retorted Philippa.
Philippa and the parrot bantered as she boarded the ship and left.
Wu Heng also left the stone house and, putting on the “Conductor’s Hat” again, returned to Gold and Silver Island.
