The Omega Is Pregnant-Chapter 66
In the underground parking lot of the hospital, Kang Se-heon took the documents handed to him by his secretary one by one, skimming through them.
"How transparent."
The only one who understood the meaning behind Kang Se-heon's cryptic remark was the secretary who had handed him the documents. The driver merely glanced at Se-heon through the rearview mirror before returning his eyes to the road. What Se-heon was looking at was the record of Seo Da-rae’s purchases just days before Tae-seo collapsed. The document contained detailed information—not just about what was acquired, but also the secretive method by which it was obtained and the exact location where it was sold.
"At school, he’s considered a quiet and diligent student. He does a lot of good deeds and has the trust of the professors."

"Why would such a quiet and diligent student do this?"
"Shall I investigate further?"
Originally, what Kang Se-heon had ordered was an investigation into the cause of Tae-seo’s collapse. However, the secretary had taken the initiative to suggest expanding the scope beyond just this incident.
What kind of grudge had led Seo Da-rae to do such a thing to Tae-seo, who had only just become an Omega? And what exactly was the tangled relationship between Seo Da-rae, Kang In-hyuk, and Tae-seo?
As the secretary waited for Se-heon’s response, he fell into thought.
He had always been aware that Tae-seo attended the same school as his cousin, but he had never paid much attention to it. However, after witnessing In-hyuk's reaction upon discovering Tae-seo in his own home, as well as the way he had continued bringing him up afterward, it was clear that this matter could no longer be ignored.
"Look into it. And include that friend, Park Han-soo, as well."
Since they called each other friends, there had to be some connection.
"Understood."
As the secretary noted down the new orders, the driver turned to Kang Se-heon and asked,
"Are you heading back to Tae-seo?"
The driver had assumed that Se-heon had come down just to receive the report from his secretary and would be returning upstairs. However, Se-heon tapped his phone twice, signaling that he wasn’t going back to the hospital.
"We’re going to headquarters."
Lately, Se-heon had been handling work through his secretary, making it unnecessary for him to go to the main office in person. As the secretary hurriedly checked the schedule, Se-heon, noticing his concern, spoke up.
"Someone important wants me to drop by."
The moment he heard this, the secretary immediately understood. It was a directive from the chairman. Without another word, he adjusted the schedule accordingly.
As Se-heon continued skimming through the report, the driver started the car. The gentle vibrations of the moving vehicle accompanied him as he stared at a recently received photo of Seo Da-rae on his phone.
"Something about him seems familiar..."
As Kang Se-heon tried to recall where he had seen Seo Da-rae before, the car smoothly exited the parking lot and merged onto the road. Just as the vehicle passed the hospital entrance, his gaze caught onto someone.
A man with pale skin and brown hair, his cap pulled low over his eyes.
Kang Se-heon observed him for a brief moment, but before he could dwell on it, the car made a right turn, and the man vanished from sight.
"Hahaha. But even if he’s stoic, you still love him, don’t you?"
Wouldn’t a grandchild be precious no matter how stiff or big they were? Tae-seo, curious if there was anything Kang Hak-jung liked about his grandson, threw the question at him. The chairman answered effortlessly, as if the answer was obvious.
"He’s very reliable."
"That’s true."
Tae-seo, who could relate more than anyone, inhaled the faint traces of Kang Se-heon’s pheromones as he thought of him.
"By the way..."
Chairman Kang Hak-jung trailed off as if he had something on his mind.
"I heard you were quite nervous in front of my son and daughter-in-law, yet you seem quite comfortable in front of me."
Having been told by his daughter-in-law about Tae-seo’s introduction to the family, Kang Hak-jung had expected a shy and anxious young man. But the Tae-seo sitting before him now showed no sign of nervousness.
Tae-seo swallowed his bite of food, using the moment to think. The difference between meeting Kang Se-heon’s parents and sitting here now was clear. Why was that?
"Hmm... Maybe it’s because I didn’t know you were Se-heon’s grandfather when we first met. You feel comfortable to me."
He spoke as soon as the thought came to him. Their first meeting hadn’t been through Kang Se-heon, after all. On top of that, he had confided in the chairman, openly discussing his struggles. That had built a sense of familiarity rather than distance.
And now, he wanted to talk about anything and everything.
"Can I call you Grandpa? I prefer that over Chairman."
"Hmph. Suit yourself."
"Okay, Grandpa."
Tae-seo had never addressed the chairman in a personal way before, so he only now thought to ask. When Kang Hak-jung merely cleared his throat without objecting, Tae-seo was relieved and turned his attention back to his meal.
Curious about the dish that looked like shrimp wrapped in thin noodles, he took a bite—and was instantly amazed.
"Grandpa, this is really good! Try it!"
Not only did he point at the dish, but he also grabbed a new pair of chopsticks, picked up the shrimp, and held it up to the chairman’s mouth. He was clearly expecting the same reaction he had.
"Come on, try it."
Tae-seo held it close to his lips, urging him to taste it. Kang Hak-jung stared at the food for a moment before finally taking a bite. Though he was a little awkward opening his mouth, Tae-seo thought nothing of it.
"Well? How is it?"
"It’s good."
"Right? No wonder Se-heon feeds me so often. I used to wonder why, but now I get it. It’s hard to just wait after telling someone to try something. It’s nice to get an immediate reaction."
So that was why Se-heon did it. The thought that his grandson had such a thoughtful side to him was almost shocking. While Kang Hak-jung remained silent, still digesting this new revelation, Tae-seo continued chatting away.
"I’ll try the other dishes and let you know if they’re good too."
"Go ahead."
"Thank you for the meal! This is amazing."
As Tae-seo fully dove into his food, Kang Hak-jung looked at him with an unreadable expression. This one was nothing like his grandson.
Where did this kid even come from?
"...Finish eating, and we’ll have some coffee."
"I can’t drink coffee, so I’ll have juice."
"Fine."
Tae-seo stuffed his mouth with meat, and for a brief moment, the conversation paused. Up until now, he had been eating while talking non-stop, but now he finally seemed focused on his meal.
Or so Kang Hak-jung thought.
"Oh, by the way, you know I’m pregnant, right? Sorry for having a baby without permission. I didn’t do it on purpose—there was an accident. I always thought I’d live my whole life as a Beta."
The only reason he had stopped talking earlier was because he was chewing on a particularly large piece of meat. Tae-seo swallowed it down and immediately launched into an explanation.
"Somehow, I ended up as an Omega. That’s when I met Se-heon. But you know what he said to me? He called me a bloodstain and told me not to talk to him next time. But weirdly enough, the more I tried to avoid him, the more we kept meeting. We ran into each other at hotels all the time. Oh, but we only met up, okay? Just talking and eating. I did ask him for his number first, but it wasn’t because I had any weird intentions! I’m not the type to chase after someone just because I fell for them at first sight, you know?"
Kang Hak-jung, who had initially been watching him with a strange look, soon found himself listening closely. At some point, he had started paying attention without realizing it.
And somewhere along the way, he had even started smiling.
"I already picked a name for the baby. Did you know that when a baby is still in the womb, their name is called a ‘taemyeong’? Anyway, the name I chose is—"
