The Only Spatial Ability User In The Apocalypse-Chapter 43 Awakening

Sylas could clearly hear the conversation between Major Kyle and Leo from the next building.

Sylas was also surprised that Leo’s healing ability could cure those who had recently fallen ill. But Leo was only one person, and for now, they could only let him heal the soldiers. Otherwise, if the public knew about his healing ability, there would be chaos, and everyone would scramble for a chance to survive. Unless there were other healing ability users in the safe zone, it was dangerous to reveal it to the general public. Although they couldn’t hide this for long, at least for now, they had to keep things about awakened humans under wraps.

"This one is transforming, too?"

Sylas heard the soldiers discussing and looked in the direction where the patient was. It was a young boy around 16 years old, his fever burning up, and he was sweating. Suddenly, his body started twitching, and his eyes turned icy blue before he fell unconscious.

Sylas immediately went to the boy’s bed and put his finger under the boy’s nose.

The soldiers were startled by Sylas’ action and immediately warned him.

"Mr. Gray, he might transform. Stay back."

"He might bite. Stay back, Mr. Gray."

Sylas didn’t pay heed to the soldiers’ words and observed the young boy carefully.

"Doctor, come and check him once again," Sylas urged the nearby military doctor.

The military doctor warily checked the young boy’s temperature and heartbeat.

"Mr. Gray, his fever seems to be coming down, and his heartbeat is normal. He is just asleep," the military doctor said.

Sylas looked at the military doctor, and the military doctor nodded his head at Sylas.

Sylas immediately understood what the military doctor meant.

The young boy had awakened!

"Transfer him to the third building," the military doctor said to the soldiers.

All the soldiers, doctors, and nurses present there understood it immediately.

Some were awakening after falling ill, but the chances of awakening seemed to be very low.

They immediately looked at the rest of the patients and observed them carefully in case some people awakened too.

"Go and inform Major Kyle about it," Sylas said to one of the soldiers near him in a low voice.

The soldier immediately nodded and went to the next building.

Many people transformed, and only a few awakened. The probability of awakening was very low.

Those who had awakened were transferred to building three.

At the same time, the soldiers responsible for aerial observation were not having an easy time. So many mutated birds were flying inside the safe zone.

The sound of gunshots rang out continuously throughout the day.

Inside building three, Major Kyle, along with the awakened humans, sat inside one room.

"We have a total of seven people who have awakened today. Four of them are soldiers, and three are survivors," Major Kyle said to them.

"Looks like the rain yesterday was really not simple," Dylan said.

"What kind of abilities did they awaken?" Shuan asked.

"One soldier has awakened a water ability, and one young boy an ice ability. The rest we don’t know yet; we will have to wait for them to wake up before we know," Major Kyle said.

Bang!

Gunshots rang out, and screams could be heard.

Sylas narrowed his eyes and looked outside. His senses were much sharper than the rest of the ability users. Sensing something amiss, he immediately rushed out of the room and left the building in a flash.

"What’s going on?" Shaun asked, standing up in surprise.

"Sylas’ senses are much higher than ours, so he must have sensed something dangerous. Let’s go," Major Kyle said, rushing out of the room.

"That guy’s speed seemed to be even faster than before," Dylan said with a smirk as he flashed past. After Sylas, his speed was faster than the rest.

Sylas immediately rushed towards the wall of the safe zone. There, he saw a group of mutated birds attacking the soldiers who were guarding it.

"So many of them?"

"There is a huge bird above... look!"

"Notify the Major!"

Bang, bang, bang!

The soldiers shot down the mutated birds, but there were many of them. It was overwhelming.

Sylas immediately arrived near the soldiers, and with a wave of his hand, the spatial blades rushed out, attacking the mutated birds.

The soldiers heaved a sigh of relief when they saw Sylas.

Seeing many birds falling under Sylas’s spatial blades, the huge bird above let out a sharp screech.

Sylas looked up at the huge bird flying above. He could feel the sharp gaze of the bird aimed at him.

Just then, Dylan also arrived, followed by Major Kyle and others.

"What kind of bird is that? So huge..." Dylan said.

Screech!

"That’s a mutated eagle. It’s commanding the other mutated birds to attack," Sylas said as he got ready to attack.

The mutated birds under the command of their leader immediately started attacking them. They dove straight towards them from the sky, their beaks sharp as blades, aiming straight at them.

"Everyone, be careful," Major Kyle said as he unleashed his fire ability and started attacking the group of birds.

Vines shot out from Serena’s hand, and stones flew towards the mutated birds like bullets from Shuan’s hand.

Dylan used a gun and, at the same time, used his bare hands to crush the birds that managed to come down.

Sylas’s spatial blades rushed out and killed a group of mutated birds, and at the same time, Sylas saw the huge mutated eagle swoop down towards him with a loud screeching sound.

Sylas, sensing something wrong, immediately raised a barrier and, as expected, saw water coming out from the mutated eagle’s mouth.

"Sylas, watch out! It has awakened an ability!"

Major Kyle shouted.

The water condensed into a sharp spear shape, and it was aimed straight at Sylas.

Sylas immediately blocked it with his space barrier. The mutated eagle swooped past the wall and again sent out several sharp spears condensed from water.

Sylas maneuvered his hand and sent out spatial blades aiming straight at the mutated bird, then immediately raised his space barrier to defend against the mutated bird’s attack.

Several water-condensed spears that missed Sylas hit the walls and buildings instantly, damaging them.

Sylas immediately flashed past the soldiers, luring the mutated eagle away from them. He was afraid the mutated eagle’s water-condensed spears might injure them.
