The Outergod's Avatar-Chapter 52: A Great Calamity (2)
Izikel’s eyes widened,
It was a dreadful image, a man hanging on a blade stabbed through his body, black blood dripping down to his feet and out of his mouth.
But that wasn’t why he stopped running, he could feel something from Felvin, soul energy, but if felt... familiar. Too familiar.
Suddenly the energy busted out of Felvin sending dust flying in every direction, that was when Izikel was sure of it,
"This... is chaos energy"
Felvin’s body began to morph, bulging and distorting at different places.
The man let go of the sword dropping the body to the ground, it was the same man who had cut Izikel’s finger.
"What the fuck?!" He took a cautious step backwards.
Felvin’s body morphed until he looked a breathing black cocoon, pulsating with chaotic energy.
"Fel... vin?" Lyzah murmured, as she witnessed the unnatural sight.
Nobody moved
Everyone watched for a few seconds before the the cocoon stopped moving.
"Is he dead?" The boss asked, standing safely, a few distance away.
The other guy poked the cocoon with his sword, but there was no reaction.
"I think so,"
But they were wrong, he wasn’t dead and Izikel knew that. He could feel the Chaos energy radiating from the lump of black flesh.
Instead of continuing his escape, he watched with eager eyes as if frozen in place by the event.
Almost immediately a slender long hand busted out of the cocoon and straight into the other man’s throat.
The man struggled to speak as blood gushed out of his mouth, and down his throat choking him.
Soon another hand busted out from the cocoon. They acted as pillars pulling the black monstrous body out of the small black flesh cocoon. The size variation made no sense.
The monster, Felvin, looked every bit like an abomination. He had hands longer than his body, which was now way larger and distorted. His skin was black with glowing streams of green veins.
The only thing that remained the same was his face, petruding unnaturally from what looked like the chest of the creature, his eyes void of any emotion, just white and blank.
The monster howled like a cry of pain. Towering above the average man, it struck fear into the hearts of everybody present.
"Wh- what is this?!" The boss screamed.
"It is the destruction of lord Mawgath," Jun screamed, shaking of the men that held him down. They were too scared to even care.
"I told you the Lord Mawgath, destruction awaits everyone who disobeys the beast god!" he added.
"Lord... Mawgath," the boss repeated, probably thinking his son was maybe saying the truth.
That was what everyone was starting to think, everyone except Izikel.
It couldn’t be lord Mawgath, because it wasn’t his doing, but Jun was fully convinced almost even happy to be right.
He stood in front of Felvin as if it was on his side.
"I told you I was chosen by Lord Mawgath to save everyone, but you all didn’t listen now all of you will suffer for your disobedience," he chuckled,
"No... that is not... get away from," Izikel’s half sentences all came out as a mumble.
It didn’t matter though, it was already too late. With one swing of his hand Felvin sent the boy flying away. He went high enough and far enough that everyone just knew there was no coming back from.
"Jun!!" The boss screamed, ignoring how ironic it was, that he gave the order to kill his son himself just some moments ago.
"You monster, I don’t care if you were sent by Mawgath but for killing my son I-"
The man was unable to complete his statement as Felvin charged at him, crushing him with one blow.
He then proceeded to kill all the Heretics present. It was a brutal carnage. With blood and body parts flying in all direction.
Izikel and Lyzah were too petrified to make another move. It was just far too... overwhelming.
Felvin was their friend, someone they knew and cared for dearly. But this, this was a monster, one without any reason.
"Lyzah we have to go," Izikel said, but his eyes remained fixed on the monster.
He gritted his teeth,
’if we stay here until he is done with those guys we would definitely be next’
"Lyzah I said we have to go!" he shouted with urgency, and fear.
But when he turned to see Lyzah she had collapsed, staring at the carnage with an empty expression.
"Felvin," she murmured as if she was unable to believe her sight.
"Lyzah, we have to go now," Izikel tried lifting her from the ground, but without any effort from her it was too difficult,
’Fuck! Should I just leave her?!’
By now Felvin had killed the last heretic and had turned his sight towards them.
As soon as his empty eyes fell on them he began charging, but he stopped and howled holding his head. It seemed like there was still some rationality left, that didn’t want to attack Izikel and Lyzah.
"Damn it!!" Izikel screamed as he summoned his gun.
He pointed it at Felvin aimed at his face, but he couldn’t shoot it. He couldn’t bring himself to shoot the monster. It was difficult for even him to accept, but after struggling with himself for a few seconds he lowered his gun, dismissing it.
Felvin thrashed around as he fought the urge to attack his friends, the more he resisted the more human he began to sound.
"No!!!"
He pulled himself in a different direction, but it seemed like his monstrous instincts was fighting what ever little rationality remained.
"I.... Can’t..."
Izikel watched as Felvin struggled in agony, his empty eyes now had black tears flowing from them. It was truly a heartbreaking sight.
Then suddenly someone threw a spear, piercing directly into Felvin’s body right beside where his head was located.
Izikel immediately recognized the spear, before Sophia appeared, her armor all battered and broken but her eyes fierce with determination.
