Chapter 641 - Ultimate Terror

Han Wu’s words assured the Origin of Mutation, but it was still curious how he would save them.

The answer soon became apparent. Raising his arm, Han Wu’s Microcosm appeared in his hand. With some willpower, he materialized his Microcosm and used it to block the descending blade.

When Warmaster saw this, he muttered, “It’s useless. Final Judgement is strong enough to cleave a Microcosm apart. You’ll both die here.”

As he said that, he heard cracking sounds echoing from Final Judgement. He looked up just in time to see cracks webbing across the blade before it shattered apart.

“What’s happening? Why did Final Judgement shatter?” Warmaster was baffled. After carefully examining Han Wu’s Microcosm, he was astonished to find that it had suffered no damage.

Warmaster instinctively thought of Stasis, an effect that could fortify the durability of one’s Microcosm. “No, how can this be? He’s only just become a World life form. How could his Microcosm have the effect of Stasis?”

Han Wu smiled at his Microcosm’s successful defense against Final Judgement. Then, he abruptly noticed blood dripping from his nose and down his lips. Although his Microcosm could withstand the blow from Final Judgement while under the effects of Stasis, his physical body could not endure the shockwave.

The blow had left him injured, but he couldn’t bring himself to regret it. The most important thing was that he had stopped Final Judgement and saved the Origin of Mutation.

Tears welled up in the Origin of Mutation’s eyes. Han Wu had saved it yet again. It had no idea how to express how touched and grateful it was in words, so it chose to keep those warm feelings close to its heart.

The viewers were already numb to Han Wu’s ridiculous achievements, so they couldn’t even muster up surprise when he stopped Final Judgement with his Microcosm. In fact, they would be more shocked if he couldn’t. They reckoned that Han Wu was born with the Divine Power to create miracles.

The two emcees were stunned speechless. Yu Meng was simultaneously excited, in awe, and incredulous. Qiu Yun, on the other hand, was in despair and denial.

Han Wu had successfully blocked Final Judgement. The Divine Civilization’s team had foiled every single plan of the Divine River Civilization’s team. The winner was clear.

Warmaster fell to his knees. “We lost!”

Their crystal had yet to be shattered, but it was obvious that it was inevitable at this point. Before the match began, each member of their team had been recognized as a talented individual at the top of the Divine River Civilization’s hierarchy. Despite this, they had lost.

Torrent had sacrificed most of his power and was a step away from death. Oracle had lost his sight. Warmaster had used up his Obsidrum equipment to unleash Obsidrum Judgement, and it would take a while for him to recover them.

Selene had expended most of her energy summoning the 1,000 cloned Super Genesoldiers. She had also channeled a lot of energy to Torrent and had since been rendered unconscious. All of the Super Genesoldiers that she had summoned had their energy sapped and could only sit on the ground to slowly recover. The only one left who could fight was Carnage.

Meanwhile, the Divine Civilization’s team was largely in good health, except for the injured Han Wu, and quickly rushed over with twenty World Death Aura Bugs.

Warmaster had never expected the match to end with such an overwhelming disadvantage.

“Carnage, we lost,” Warmaster said defeatedly. “Let’s just break our crystal.”

However, Carnage didn’t heed his order and instead stepped out to face his foes. “I am Carnage, and I’d rather die standing than live kneeling at others’ heels. I will never surrender!”

Carnage confronted Jia Gui first. Though weak, Jia Gui had equipped himself with so much defensive equipment that his defense was staggeringly high. This was the only thing giving him the courage to face Carnage.

Three seconds later, Jia Gui was blown back several hundred meters. Jia Gui’s unfounded confidence left the Origin of Mutation and the others speechless. Did he not know his own strength? There was a clear line between delusion and ambition.

Jia Gui had a lot of HP and defense, but his combat experience was nothing compared to Carnage. Even if Carnage were exhausted, he could likely kill Jia Gui. The gap between them was just that large.

The other three weren’t as weak. The Origin of Mutation charged, but even with its somewhat capable techniques, it could barely keep up with Carnage. Strangely, the latter ended up suffering from mysterious wounds during the fight.

The Origin of Mutation had equipped its new dragon scale armor, which could block 50% of the enemy’s damage and reflect 25% back. With Xu Hai and Commerce’s assistance, the trio successfully defended against Carnage, even gaining the upper hand once more.

Seizing his chance, the Origin of Mutation pounced. It punched a hole through Carnage’s chest, dug his heart out, and ate it. The bloody sight caused Jia Gui to vomit.

The Origin of Mutation felt a thrill it had never experienced before. The adrenaline from killing its sworn enemy had ignited its fighting spirit. With the twenty World Death Aura Bugs occupying the exhausted cloned Super Genesoldiers, the four from the Divine Civilization’s team entered the plaza of the opposition side.

Warmaster had since dragged Torrent, Selene, and Oracle into the fountain while he himself stood in front of the crystal. When he saw the four of them, he immediately knew that Carnage had been killed.

“We lost,” Warmaster said earnestly before smashing his weapon against the crystal. A teleporting force appeared in the fountain, capable of transporting those within out of the field, though it would take some time.

“Don’t you dare run away!” The Origin of Mutation tried to stop the three from teleporting away, but Warmaster intercepted it.

“You’ll have to step over my dead body to reach my friends,” Warmaster said firmly, preparing for a vicious battle. Though exhausted and well aware he couldn’t defeat the four of them, he still chose to stand tall. He wouldn’t be reduced to a coward begging to live.

“So be it!” The Origin of Mutation went mad with bloodlust.

It ate the dragon’s heart it had been holding onto, just so it could defeat Warmaster as quickly as possible. Activating Gene Lock, it then turned into a Great Dragon. Its health and energy multiplied to reflect the power of Great Dragons.

Despite pushing himself to his limits, Warmaster only managed to buy a little time. Fortunately, this was enough for the teleport array to activate, and Torrent, Selene, and Oracle were transported away without incident.

Warmaster relaxed once he saw his friends leave safely. That was when the Origin of Mutation pierced his chest.

“It doesn’t matter if they escape. I’ll go and hunt them down in the Divine River Civilization myself. I am the Origin of Mutation, the ultimate terror of your creation.” The Origin of Mutation gouged out Warmaster’s heart and ate it before his eyes.

Fresh blood stuck to the Origin of Mutation’s mouth, giving it a sinister appearance.

Outside of the match, the Divine River Civilization representative was watching these events in horror. The Origin of Mutation’s final words echoed endlessly in his mind as he muttered on repeat, “We created the ultimate terror.”
