The Prime Minister Seduced Me to have Babies!-Chapter 412: Not Accepting
Jiang Youzhi was still sitting there playing chess with Lin Shuo when Mrs. Chen came over and tapped him, "Come with me, I have something to tell you."
Mother and son went into the courtyard and stood there, while Nanny Liu sat in the main hall and could see everything clearly.
Mrs. Chen explained the purpose of Nanny Liu’s visit, and Jiang Youzhi frowned, "Such matters don’t require Mother to question me. No matter how brilliant this marriage proposal is, I will not agree."
Though Mrs. Chen wanted Sanlang and Yun Jiao to marry, this was too significant a decision for her to make alone, so naturally, she had to ask Sanlang’s opinion.
From his words, it seemed that even if a goddess stood before him, he would still remain unmoved.
Mrs. Chen found it amusing, seeing Sanlang’s persistent dedication, yet unsure when Jiao Jiao would finally come to realize it.
She nodded, "Then I’ll go and relay this to her."
Jiang Youzhi responded with a simple "mm" and added, "There’s no need to mention this matter to anyone else, Mother."
Mrs. Chen chuckled, "I know, Mother won’t say a word."
She knew Sanlang wasn’t worried about the Qin family’s girl’s reputation, just that he didn’t want Yun Jiao to find out.
Should Yun Jiao find out, she might become even less interested in Sanlang.
Mrs. Chen returned to the main hall and smiled at Nanny Liu, "Thank you for waiting."
"Thank your master for his generosity, but my Sanlang is currently dedicated to his studies, so the matter of marriage is not being considered for now."
Nanny Liu understood that the talk of studying was merely an excuse, just a way to leave everyone with some dignity.
Greatly disappointed, she still pressed on, "Aunt Chen, this is truly a marriage opportunity that’s hard to come by; please reconsider."
Mrs. Chen shook her head, "Thank you for your concern."
Nanny Liu’s face turned cold, and she curtseyed to Mrs. Chen before leaving. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎
Meanwhile, in the Qin family’s backyard, Qin Yan was pacing around her room.
Suddenly, she stopped and instructed Liu Er, "Go to the front and see if Nanny Liu has returned."
Liu Er agreed and lifted her skirt to run out.
Soon she returned, "Miss, not yet."
"Don’t worry, I’ve already told little maid Ling Er that when Nanny Liu returns, she should immediately come and inform me."
The mistress and servant waited a while longer before seeing little maid Ling Er running in, panting, "Nanny Liu is back, and she went to Madam’s room."
Qin Yan hastily asked, "How did Nanny Liu look? Was there a smile on her face?"
Ling Er shook her head, "She just looked normal to me."
Qin Yan pushed Liu Er, "Go find out more."
Liu Er lifted her skirt and ran out again.
It took a while for Liu Er to return, and as soon as Qin Yan saw her, she urgently asked, "What happened? What did Nanny Liu say?"
Liu Er hesitantly replied, "When I arrived, Nanny Liu was speaking with Madam. I braved listening by the window and heard that Mr. Jiang’s side has already refused."
Qin Yan shrieked, "Impossible!"
Liu Er was frightened and stepped back, not daring to say more.
Qin Yan stomped her foot and dashed out of the room.
She ran straight to her mother’s room, where she almost collided head-on with Nanny Liu, who was just about to leave.
Qin Yan grabbed her, "Don’t go. I don’t believe his family would refuse this marriage proposal."
Nanny Liu awkwardly glanced at Mrs. Jiang, not knowing what to do.
Mrs. Jiang frowned, "Yan Er, have you no manners? Look at the state you’re in."
Qin Yan let go, holding back her anger, and twisted her body to sit next to Mrs. Jiang, "Nanny Liu, what exactly was said when you went to the Jiang family? Tell me everything as it was."
