Chapter 2120: The War At The Dawn of Ending (3)

Everything they were learning did not seem like knowledge that a Primordial was supposed to know, and yet, it seemed to them that this was the crowning point of their travels to the farthest reaches of time... almost as if the knowledge they were acquiring here was the reason they were born in the first place.

Memorizing three of the true names for these unfathomable beings was beyond what any of them could presently handle, but they had been working together for an impossible length of time, and their cooperation had gone beyond what any Primordial group in the past had been able to grasp, and now they could fuse their Origin into a state where the sum of its parts was greater than they could ever anticipate.

This was the unknown path that these three Primordials had found to breach the fifth layer of their Origin, but they were always unconsciously rejecting this path. If they were to follow this path to the end, the three Primordials would ultimately fuse to become one individual, and a new Origin Force would be born that would lead straight to its fifth layer.

Even though it was not spoken aloud, they all knew that they would all strive to work on their Origin Force, hoping to push it towards the fifth layer, but if the war begins, then the three of them would push any individuality aside, and fuse together to create the second fifth layer Origin Entity... only a power like this would be able to help Eos fight for Existence.

Now, in order for them to be able to record the names of these individuals, they unhesitatingly began a preliminary fusion of their Origin Forces. It was not a permanent step, but what any of them could not do apart, they would be able to accomplish together.

Their bodies fused together in a flash of prsimatic light, but the true complex fusion of Origin was a process that was mostly silent and obscure, and while this fusion did not create a singel central shape, as the three Primordials now resembled a mass of glowing ooze, their consciousness had multiplied almost exponentially in strength and they were able to peer through the weight of the massive presence in front of them to understand their nature.

It was weird that these three Primordials never remembered what it was like when they fused together after they had separated, and the memory only returned when they performed a fusion. Almost as if the secrets of the fifth layer of Origin were hidden away from them in their unaltered state.

Nevertheless, with the power gained from this half-fusion, the true name of the fourth presence was recorded,

«QA-DUM BA-ŠA-KIN... GAN-ZU ŠA LA IŠ-ŠA-KAN.

GAN-UM la e-pe-ri... la ti-ti...

ba-ḫu-lu-um QA-BU-UM-ḫūšu ša la i-ba-šu.

ḪŪL-UM-MU te-nu-uḫ

ZI-IG KŪL-RA.»

"The One Who Tends the Garden of Unborn Possibilities, whose garden was not planted in soil but in the fertile darkness of what-might-never-be."

They were able to hold the fourth name inside them with relative ease, and they pushed for the fifth name, which grudgingly gave up its secrets to their gaze.

«QA-DUM BA-ŠA-ME’-UM... ŠA ŠI-GI ŠA MA-WU-TU KÙK-KA-BU.

UZ-NU-UM la ḫa-ša-šu... la er-ṣe-ti...

ba-ḫu-lu-um QA-LA-MU kosmiku-šīlaḫ.

ḪŪL-UM ra-ḫi-mu ba-ḫar-ra.»

"The One Who Listens to the Screams of Dead Stars, whose ears were made of cosmic silence and whose compassion had long since been burned away by the cries it had absorbed."

Five names were pushing the boundaries of what they could hold by their temporary fusion, and there was a chance they might become permanently fused as one if they continued to record more of these names, but they took the plunge after a brief moment of hesitation, and slowly but surely, the sixth and final true name fell into their possession.

«QA-DUM BA-ḪATAM... ŠA DA-LA-PU ENU AḪAR-RU.

PĀ-NU-UM la i-tu-ru ša la i-ba-šu.»

"The One Who Will Close the Last Eye, whose face was turned away from all that was, toward all that would never be again."

Names in their normal state already had power, and True Names were even more so. Coupled with them being able to fuse their Origin Force and recognize the names of these six unknown entities in front of them, they were finally able to peer into the core of this conflict, and they began to glimpse what was happening in this fight.

In their perception, they cold see that Eos stood alone, while these six, even thought they were far away from him relatively speaking, their combined aura had already encircled Eos, trapping him in a cage, where even time had been discarded, and as it was, the seven of them existed in the spaces between moments, and in the cracks between atoms... if not for the perception of their fusion, these Primordials would not be able to understand this dimension of battle.

Unknown to them, they were seeing the effects of both the Proto-Dimensions and the tenth dimension in play at the same time.

They might not understand all the complexities in front of them at a glance, most of their consciousness was stuck with trying to hold on to the memory of the true names they had stolen, but what they knew was that these seven were battling, and to the best of their ability, it was like they were looking at the very concepts of Existence arguing with itself about whether it deserved to continue.

Eos had stood against these six for a long time, and finally he had collapsed to his knees, and they gathered around him and began to judge him... their voices were beyond meaning, but the fused Primordials could catch a small fragment of meaning from their words.

"...You were a mistake.... The void was perfect.... You brought suffering into perfection...."

More of the judgment fell upon Eos, and something in him seemed to have broken down, and it seemed that he had lost the battle, but his silver light suddenly brightened, and he slowly pushed himself to his feet even while the power of the six unknown beings continued to rise against him.

All Existence began to shake and crack, and when it seemed that Eos was at the verge of victory, a black light emerged from behind him and plunged a hand into his chest, ripping out his burning heart.

Eos did not seem surprised by this betrayal, and even under the chaotic rampage of the fracturing state of Exixtence, the fused Primordials heard his final words as they collapsed around him, and his words were strange.

"You will close my eye. But you cannot close what my eye has seen."

Their final sight was to see Eos beginning to expand into an orb of silver flames that swallowed all of Existence, and they were snapped into the present.

At the start of this experiment, nearly thirty million years ago, Prime had been a healthy bloodline avatar of the Grand Creator Eos, and his powers seemed invincible to Serene Ascension, who could not see any limits to his powers.

Having a direct channel to Eos powers gave Prime the sort of abilities that Primordials would dream to have, and among these abilities was his nigh infinite energy stores.

On his own, Prime could channel an incredible amount of power and had nearly endless stores of power to pull from his infinite incarnations of time, but if he chose to connect himself to Eos to draw out power from his father, then he would be virtually unstoppable in terms of energy capacity.

However, with the character of Prime, he would rather kill himself than leech out any of Eos’s energy, even though Eos would not see sharing his energy with his bloodline avatars to be an issue; he had the greatest storehouse of energy in Existence as he knew it, and his baselines would only grow when he reached the ninth-dimensional level.

Prime’s pride would not allow him to become a dependent, and so this led to the present situation where Prime, who once had the appearance of a handsome young man with the endlessness of time in his eyes, had shrunken in the pale shadow of a man.

His right eyes still glowed with purple light; however, his left eyes were a void that resembled a spinning black hole as it sucked in everything around him and into a location deep in his eyes.

This black hole was draining all of Prime’s strength, and he had been fighting to keep up with the drain.

What the three Primordials cast into the future would not know was that anytime they fused, their combined weight of existence that had touched the fifth layer of an unknown Origin Force was so heavy that Prime, who had still not found his fifth layer, had to endure all of that stain.

And as if that was not bad enough, they also began collecting the true names of those unknown beings in the future whose weight could not even be calculated, and Prime, being the foundation of the road they were walking on, was being crushed to death.
