The Reincarnated Villain Makes The Heroines Tearfully Beg for Forgiveness-Chapter 334: The Transaction:
“Xiao Mei?” Everyone stared in shock as Xiao Mei revealed her true form. Mu Tao and the others were especially stunned. They had agreed to help Lin Yan target Su Qingyi in Valley, intending to take advantage of the chaos.
As long as Su Qingyi suffered, they had nothing to lose as direct descendants of the Night Clan. But unexpectedly, there was a bigger player behind the scenes—Xiao Mei.
As a princess of the Immortal Empire, Xiao Mei held status nearly equal to Su Qingyi’s within the Changsheng Family. Moreover, she was known for her cunning. Now that everyone was injured and under her control, they realized they were merely pawns in her game.
“This is bad,” thought Mu Tao, who was gravely injured. His vision blurred, and he nearly lost consciousness.
Xiao Mei’s gaze shifted from Mu Tao to Lin Yan. Of all those present, Lin Yan was her true target. While Mu Tao was a core disciple of the Night Clan, Lin Yan’s value was far greater. The reason was simple: Xiao Mei had yet to reach Su Qingyi’s level, capable of stepping into the upper god realm. To overcome her own soul separation issue, she needed Lin Yan’s help.
“Lin Yan, I mentioned my terms when I first entered the plane battlefield. I’ll offer you one more chance. If you agree, you can become the prince-in-law of the Immortal Empire, and together, we can soar higher than ever.” Xiao Mei proposed with a seductive tone.
Mu Lingsha, still trapped in the sea of flowers, snorted disdainfully. “Wishful thinking.” 𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦
Xiao Mei cast a quick glance at Mu Lingsha but held back her retort. Memories of their shared time fooling around with Lin Yan on the Lingxuan Continent suddenly surfaced, causing her cheeks to flush. She turned away with a cold snort and refocused on Lin Yan. “Husband, have you forgotten all we had together?” she teased, her words dripping with charm.
For a moment, Lin Yan recalled the queen of Lingxuan Continent he once knew. But he quickly dismissed the thought.
While fending off the encroaching flowers, he asked, “How is Xiao Yan now?”
“There’s no need to worry,” Xiao Mei replied. “Xiao Yan is the seventh prince of the Immortal Empire and my nephew. I wouldn’t harm him. I simply recalled him to ensure he stayed within the ranks of the Immortal Empire.”
Disguising herself as Xiao Yan had been a sudden decision for Xiao Mei, but it had proven highly advantageous. Satisfied with her explanation, Lin Yan nodded. “Good. Xiao Yan is my friend, and I would hate for any harm to come to him.”
Changing the subject, Lin Yan fixed Xiao Mei with a sharp stare. “As for your offer, princess, my answer is no. You’re not in a position to force me.”
Xiao Mei’s face darkened.
Unease washed over her, and flowers rapidly gathered around her for protection. But just then, a surprising turn of events unfolded—Su Qingyi, who had been weakened by the backlash from the main godhead, suddenly regained her strength.
With a cold expression, the Divine Maiden phantom reappeared around her. Su Qingyi reached out her hand, and the immense power of the upper Heavenly God Realm surged forth, binding Xiao Mei completely.
With Xiao Mei subdued, the flowers trapping everyone dissipated. Mu Tao and the others quickly consumed healing pills, their expressions improving. Yet, when they looked at the imposing figure of Su Qingyi, any relief vanished.
Though they had captured Xiao Mei, their true goal had always been Su Qingyi. And she was far from defeated.
Su Qingyi spoke with cold indifference. “Is this your grand trap? How dull. If I had used my full strength, you wouldn’t have lasted the time it takes to drink a cup of tea.”
Lin Yan nodded in acknowledgment. “You’re right. Your strength is nearly that of an upper god, capable of sweeping us aside… But I’m more interested in whether you will honor our previous agreement.”
The astonishment on Mu Lingsha and the others’ faces was clear. This situation had twisted and turned so much, and now they learned that Lin Yan and Su Qingyi had a secret pact?
Even Mu Lingsha looked suspicious.
Mu Tao’s anger flared. “Lin Yan, what is going on? If you’ve been conspiring with Su Qingyi all along, why drag us into this?”
Lin Yan sighed and turned to Mu Tao. “It’s complicated, but I assure you, even I didn’t foresee all of this.”
Su Qingyi spoke up, her tone icy. “Don’t blame Lin Yan. I only reached out to him outside the Wind Valley.” As she spoke, her split soul floated out, creating a second identical Su Qingyi.
“Young Master,” the split soul greeted Lin Yan, her familiar voice softening his expression. She explained, “After arriving at the Wind Valley, I made contact with my young master. He suspected that Xiao Yan was an impostor. So, we staged this scene together.”
The explanation left Mu Tao and the others stunned but less angry. It made sense now—at the time, Xiao Mei (disguised as Xiao Yan) was too close for Lin Yan to reveal the truth.
Xiao Mei, restrained and frustrated, spoke up. “You doubted my identity all along? How?”
Lin Yan smirked. “You tried to mimic Xiao Yan perfectly, but you forgot one thing—your true self, Mei’er, still lingers within you. I noticed the inconsistency.”
Xiao Mei’s face fell.
Despite her best efforts to suppress her split soul, it had betrayed her.
Ignoring her, Su Qingyi turned to Lin Yan. “I have kept my word. Here is what I promised.” She tossed a sachet to Lin Yan and released a drop of her own blood to her split soul. The essence transformed the split soul into a separate being.
“From now on, she is her own person, and I am myself.” Su Qingyi declared, her decisiveness aweing even the Night Clan members.
Lin Yan watched with relief. He opened the sachet, feeling the familiar aura of the Lingxuan Continent. “Qingyi, return to the Lingxuan Continent and recover,” he said to the newly revived split soul, who nodded and disappeared into the sachet.
Just as Lin Yan turned back to speak, ten figures suddenly appeared on the surrounding rock walls. “Everyone in heaven, stay here today,” a voice sneered as space distorted around them.
Floating plane cultivators had been lurking all along, waiting for their moment. Su Qingyi’s eyes narrowed, and she summoned her Divine Maiden phantom once more. “Trash like you will not hold me,” she declared, charging forward.
Most attackers targeted her, while the rest descended upon Lin Yan and his weakened allies.
In this dire moment, Xiao Mei spoke up. “Lin Yan, release me. I can help you fight them.”
