The Return Of His Ex Wife-Chapter 53: The Suite: 2
Chapter 53: The Suite: 2
Tara’s POV
"Yes? What’s with this rude interruption??" She was a pretty lady with short black hair like a Bob, and had this sharp look, like she was always in the mood to murder people. And I thought Sofia had a natural resting bitch face.
Before I could step forward to face her, making her realize there must have been some sort of problem, she screamed out. "Arlo! Sofia! Hi!"
I turned back to see Arlo and Sofia exchange stern glances like they knew who she was, and hated her already. Finally Arlo stepped forward, "Timberwood, when the hell did you come back?"
I didn’t understand how they knew this lady, but I was certain I didn’t like her. The way her eyes lust for Arlo...
"Just yesterday! Hello Sofia, it’s been such a long time. Arlo," she walked over to Arlo and placed her hand on his cheek, but he slapped it off almost immediately. Now I was getting more curious. Who was this lady?
"What are you doing here? This room has been booked?" Arlo said with a strong face.
"Um, sorry. You guys know her?" I stepped in, not liking to be in the dark like that.
"Oh this is Anaya. Arlo’s um...fiancee. Until four years ago that is." Sofia said, "I mean, just on papers. Arlo doesn’t give two fucks about this spoilt brat here." ƒrēenovelkiss.com
"Excuse you, Sofia. But Arlo and I have gone a long way. He does loves me, no matter how he hides it." Anaya said, pouting.
"Keep on dreaming. Is this why you stalked us all through last week? Or wait, how long have you really been stalking us? You want us to really believe you just came back yesterday?" Sofia said back.
Fiancee? That was all I could think of. Arlo had a fiancee? I knew he was a flirt but I never imagined she would have been engaged!
But then there was me who had been married to Derek for three years before divorcing him. Still, why did it bother me a little hearing this about Arlo?
"That’s a lie. I haven’t been stalking you! I just came back yesterday. I even visited dad, you know. Did he not tell you?" Anaya defended.
"Your dad is somewhere lost on the pacific ocean. Say you visited Mr. Hernandez." Sofia corrected angrily.
"Ladies, just stop. Okay? You’re back, Ana, welcome. But we paid for this room so kindly disappear with your weird colleagues." Arlo said.
"Staff members." Anaya said in response. "And no way. I paid for this place, so you guys disappear."
"Fine. I’ll just contact the manager and explain the situation since they’re too slow to understand a simple contract. I paid for this room, not you. But that’s fine." I hoped I had try to contain my anger. From the looks on everyone’s face, I didn’t think I tried much.
"Oh, so you’re the Tara Aniston, the dearest Tara Aniston everyone so much love." Anaya said, picking a special interest in me.
"Let’s just go." I held Richard’s hand and turned to leave.
"Congratulations on your investment, Tara." Anaya’s voice was creepy and from behind it sent goosebumps down on my skin.
"How would you know about that?" I turned to face her. Then it hit me. "Wait, did you follow us here? Stalker?"
"She probably did! That’s how crazy she can be." Ella spat out. "What? It’s written all over her forehead." She added when we all glared at her.
"I have better things to do than to stalk you, dear. Like for example, having a word or two with my uncle’s friend. Arlo, please wait behind. We have a lot to talk about." Anaya said confidently.
"You’re right. We have a lot to talk about." Arlo stepped closer, then leaned in and whispered something to her ears.
I could only stare with annoyance...was this me being jealous?
Suddenly, Anaya stepped away from Arlo with speed. "Enjoy your stay. Bring my bag, Lizzie." And with that, her steps were in strides as she left the room. All of her body guards hurried behind, rushing out of the room. In no less than ten seconds, the whole room was silent and empty.
"Wow, you still threaten her with that?" Sofia said, looking impressed.
"Come on, Richard." Arlo said, then his eyes met with mine. I didn’t know what was going on in that head of his, but I knew he felt no apology towards me. Was he proud he had a hot chick like that as a second option? Or maybe I was a second option in this case.
I wanted to protest we checked another room but everyone had already stepped inside. I was left with no choice but to enter as well. I still couldn’t get over the fact that a hot girl like that was swooning over Arlo. Was this why he was starting to lose interest in me? Arlo was obsessed with me but now? He just acted like I was forcing myself on him! Like he was only around because he pitied me.
Melissa’s POV
When I heard the news from Derek, I didn’t know how to react. And then he added this boring part about going to a party with him tomorrow??
Damn it, I was this close to finding out about his dark secret in his black box, until he hit me with something else. It was all I could think about all afternoon.
Donovan and I were lovers before, years before I became Derek’s lover. We were even married a while later! But he got involved in some gang where a big rich man sued him to court and he had to pay a huge sum of money.
Then we got so poor we were barely managing. Only for me to reunite with Derek while he was married. That was when my story changed!
And now... Donovan was trying to ruin it all again?? As I was deep lost in thoughts, I heard Desdra snored louder again. The thought of her being here was so annoying to me. Ever since that Tara destroyed her life--which was only days ago!--she had been so useless staying over at Alice place or here with me and Derek.
My phone rang and I stood up to go into the kitchen and answer. Even though she was fast asleep, I still couldn’t risk her overhearing my conversations with him.
"What is it?" I said to him. "Are you starting to regret it already?"
