LUO YAN felt Shen Ji Yun's gaze on him a couple of times already since they left the house. Even now that the other was driving, he would still steal a glance every chance he got. Which was unlike him, considering that he's always careful whenever he drove. Of course, Luo Yan knew the reason for this.

It's because he's too beautiful.

He knew he would receive this kind of reaction from Shen Ji Yun the moment he decided to wear a wig. Because his features were much softer compared to other guys, wearing a wig could easily turn his androgynous look to something a bit more feminine. Almost like how he looked as Noctis. No, it's probably more accurate to say that he looked like the 'elf-sister' of Yuexing Pavilion.

So, why did he suddenly wear a wig? Of course, it's not just to enhance his beauty. It's so he could cling to Shen Ji Yun without having others looking at them weirdly. Under normal circumstance, he wouldn't really care. But their purpose for going out today was to celebrate not only Shen Ji Yun's birthday but also Valentine's Day.

He didn't want to be bothered by other people's nonsense on this special day. He just wanted the two of them to enjoy this night, without being annoyed by people's judgemental eyes.

Luo Yan once again felt Shen Ji Yun's gaze on him. He chucked and said, "Brother Ji Yun, I know I'm pretty and everything, but you really should focus on driving. You can stare at me all you want later."

Shen Ji Yun could feel his whole face heating up after he heard that. Then, he quickly turned towards the road and concentrated hard on driving. Which took almost all of his focus, by the way. With Luo Yan looking like that, it's truly hard to look away.

Because just like he said, he's just too beautiful.

He cleared his throat. "So... is this also one of your surprises for today?" he asked, talking about Luo Yan's hair.

"Yeah, do you like it?" Luo Yan asked, twirling the wig with his finger.

"Ehem, yes. I like everything about you," Shen Ji Yun said honestly.

Luo Yan chuckled. "Even if I turned bald and wrinkly?"

"Even then," Shen Ji Yun said, not even thinking twice.

Luo Yan smiled. "Me too. Even if you're bald and wrinkly, I will still love you."

The corner of Shen Ji Yun's lips turned up. "Then, I'm glad."

Shen Ji Yun parked the car at the parking lot of the Orchid Hotel. The moment they got off the car, Luo Yan quickly hugged his arm. He was a bit startled at first, but then accepted it, as if it's the most natural thing in the world.

They walked inside like a normal couple of lovers. People glanced in their direction. But it's not the kind where they looked at them weirdly. It's the one where it's filled with admiration. Some were even filled with envy. As if the two of them were an enviable couple.

Now Shen Ji Yun understood why Luo Yan wore a wig. So that the two of them could freely act like lovers without the judgment of others.

This made him smile and made his heart much lighter.

Walking into the hotel, Luo Yan led him towards the hotel's restaurant. "Come, Brother, I reserved the best spot in the restaurant for us."

Shen Ji Yun allowed himself to be pulled. When they reached the restaurant, a maitre d' asked if they had a reservation. Luo Yan immediately told the other his name and then a waiter led them to their table.

It was a table beside the floor to ceiling window. Since the tables here were far apart from one another, even if they weren't in a private room, there's still a lot of privacy.

When the waiter was about to pull the chair for Luo Yan, Shen Ji Yun beat him to it.

Luo Yan smiled and sat down on the seat pulled for him. Shen Ji Yun also sat down on the opposite seat.

The waiter, who was just robbed off of his job, was startled because the tall man with blue eyes just gave him a cold glance. He unconsciously sweated a bit. Then he realized that the guy probably didn't want him to pull the chair for the girl he's with. Jealous much? He's just doing his job. Although he must admit that the girl was really pretty. Good thing he was a professional, and he didn't show any discomfort at the other's attitude.

Since the two were sitting at the VIP table, it meant that they availed the VIP dinner set for Valentine's Day. So, he didn't have to get their order.

"Your order will be prepared and served to you soon," he said, before slightly bowing and leaving.

Luo Yan glanced outside the window. He could see the beautiful city scape. The numerous lights on many tall buildings. They're like twinkling starlights. He could even see the moon from here. It's good that he did his research and chose this spot.

"Look, Brother Ji Yun, the view from here is amazing," he said, turning to the other with a big grin.

"Yes," Shen Ji Yun said, not really looking at the view and was just staring at Luo Yan.

Of course, this did not escape Luo Yan's notice. He put his hand on his chin and smiled sweetly at the other. "Does Brother Ji Yun think I'm very pretty today?"

"You're always pretty."

Luo Yan chuckled. Here he was, the unexpected Casanova struck again. Should he grow his hair out? Shen Ji Yun would probably like it more if he did. But he knew if he asked, the other would probably just say that any hairstyle would suit him.

"Thank you. I really like it when Brother Ji Yun compliments me. It makes me feel special."

"You don't need my compliments. Because you have always been special."

Now Luo Yan felt like he was truly special. Just like he said, the other truly always made him feel special.
