The Revenge of the Reborn Supreme Sovereign-Chapter 14: I guarantee this will be the thing you regret the most in your life!
After walking a hundred meters, Qin Fan could almost imagine Ye Congjun and the others staring at the dismantled Audi A6. A playful curve tugged at the corner of his mouth, but deep down, he was utterly dismissive.
Crushing a car that weighed several tons with one kick would seem beyond belief to the people of this mundane world. Yet, on the Cangqiong Continent, compared to those in the Cultivation World, this was merely the first step!
He recalled that at the peak of his Mahayana Realm, at the stage of Great Perfection, he could move mountains and seas with ease! Legends said that after ascending to the Immortal Realm, one could split rivers and destroy cities, and the Immortal Kings above them could even ordain gods and pluck stars from the sky without a word.
As for the Immortal Venerable, magnified to mythical proportions in oral traditions, they could supposedly create heaven and earth with a wave of their hand! Perhaps this was an exaggeration, but as the Shura Venerable who once stood unmatched on the Cangqiong Continent, Qin Fan knew that even if the tales were embellished, they probably weren’t far from the truth. An Immortal Venerable, the Supreme of the Immortal Realm... what kind of being would that even be!
At that thought, Qin Fan’s mind drifted into infinite daydreams, but these musings did not last long, and a wry smile soon appeared on his face.
He murmured self-deprecatingly, "I’m thinking too far ahead! Forget the Immortal Venerable; the problem right in front of me is how to consolidate my Qi Refinement Realm and break through to the Foundation Establishment Stage. As for ascending to the Immortal Realm, that’s completely out of reach! Back on the Cangqiong Continent, where Spiritual Energy was abundant, I still fell to the eighty-one Heavenly Thunders of the Transcendance Tribulation Stage, ultimately fated to never ascend!
"Qi Refinement, Foundation Establishment, Golden Core, Nascent Soul, Divinity Transformation, Unification, Crossing Tribulation, and Mahayana—each realm has three stages. It took me a full five hundred years to reach the Great Perfection stage of the Mahayana Realm, standing peerless at the apex of the Cangqiong Continent. And now, I’ve barely crossed the threshold of the Qi Refinement Realm. What right do I have to even ponder the Immortal Realm?
"Besides, even after ascending to the Immortal Realm, who knows how many bottlenecks and shackles one must overcome to become a supreme existence at the peak! With the sparse Spiritual Energy here on Earth, that ultimate existence shouldn’t be something I’m concerning myself with right now!"
Muttering to himself, Qin Fan shook his head again with a bitter smile.
The most urgent task now is to find the next area rich in Spiritual Energy. Qingling Lake behind me is clearly depleted, and unless something unexpected happens, I probably won’t be going back there again! This vast Huaxia is over nine million square kilometers; finding a place with abundant Spiritual Energy will ultimately depend on fate. Never mind. I should focus on finding some aged medicinal herbs to absorb. Every little bit helps! 𝕗𝐫𝚎𝗲𝘄𝐞𝕓𝐧𝕠𝘃𝕖𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝚖
Having thought this through, Qin Fan stopped dwelling on the matter. Clearing his mind, he continued walking forward at a leisurely, carefree pace.
"Qin Fan?"
Just as Qin Fan passed the mouth of an alley, a sudden shout rang out. He instinctively stopped and turned his head. In the alley, a young man in his twenties stood with his hands in his pockets, watching him with an insolent gaze.
"Are you calling me?" Sensing the malice in the young man’s eyes, Qin Fan offered a faint smile and asked calmly.
The young man didn’t answer right away. Instead, he pulled out his phone and glanced at a picture someone had sent him earlier. After comparing it with Qin Fan’s face, he let out a sinister smile. "It’s you, alright!"
As his voice fell, he put his fingers to his lips and let out a sharp whistle. In an instant, several youths wielding baseball bats swarmed out. Without wasting any words, the leader pointed at Qin Fan and yelled to his armed cronies, "Get him!"
Well now, who could I have possibly offended? The well-known abandoned son of the Qin family, who never fights back or seeks revenge, is being cornered in an alley?
Qin Fan chuckled, a smile that seemed utterly harmless. In the eyes of the young man, however, it was the very symbol of weakness. Although he hadn’t recognized Qin Fan’s face before, who in Jiangzhou with any ounce of information didn’t know the worthless reputation of the Qin family’s abandoned son?
"Get me? I don’t think so." Shaking his head, Qin Fan chuckled lightly. He strode confidently past the youths with the baseball bats and came to a stop directly in front of their leader, his composure unshaken.
This display genuinely surprised the other party. Wasn’t the Qin family’s abandoned son supposed to be Jiangzhou’s prime example of a pathetic coward? But now... does this look like the behavior of a pathetic coward?
The youth was momentarily stunned, but the words "take money to solve someone’s problem" quickly flashed through his mind. At this point, it didn’t matter to him whether Qin Fan was a coward or a good-for-nothing. With their team of baseball bats, even if he wasn’t a coward, they would beat him into one!
"Who sent you?" Qin Fan asked with a playful smirk, watching the rapid shifts in the leader’s expression.
As his words fell, the names of the Dean and Zhou Xueman immediately flashed through his mind. That’s right. Other than these two, I can’t think of anyone else who would target me! But I can rule out the Dean. Logically and emotionally, he wouldn’t stoop so low, nor would he have the nerve! If he really wanted to deal with me, he would have just expelled me directly. Why resort to such tactics? That leaves my so-called fiancée!
"Was it Zhou Xueman who sent you?" Qin Fan immediately followed up with a smile.
An unusual flicker crossed the young man’s face at the mention of Zhou Xueman’s name. "It doesn’t matter who sent us," he retorted. "What matters is that I’m about to make you regret you were ever born!"
With that, the young man wasted no more words. He raised his hand and waved. "Get him!"
Get me? With these Fire Sticks? A hint of pity tinged the cold expression on his face.
"I guarantee this will be the single biggest regret of your life!" Qin Fan shook his head indifferently, paying no attention to the youths charging at him with their bats raised.
"Be careful! Don’t draw blood!" the leader ordered, dismissing Qin Fan’s words as a joke. He casually pulled out a cigarette, lit it, and took a drag. Upon hearing his command, the bats that were initially aimed at Qin Fan’s head were lowered slightly.
"A bunch of clowns, seeking your own death!"
Facing the baseball bats closing in on him, Qin Fan’s hand shot out. His speed was so immense that his opponent had no time to react. He snatched the tightly gripped baseball bat right out of the man’s hands! Then, with a powerful and heavy swing, he brought it down on the man’s right knee!
CRACK!
The sharp sound of shattering bone erupted! The young man whose bat had been stolen hadn’t even processed what was happening when a piercing pain exploded from his knee! One strike, a shattered kneecap. His right leg was crippled.
Before the blood-curdling scream could even escape his throat, Qin Fan calmly lifted his foot and kicked him, sending him flying.
"One!"
As the word left his lips, the bat rose again, and his foot shot out.
"Two!"
His figure dodged like a phantom as he flawlessly executed the same combination—one strike with the bat, one kick.
"Three!"
"Four!"
"Seven!"
"Thirteen!"
Thirteen strikes, thirteen kicks, thirteen men. Besides the leader, not a single one of them was left standing. Hysterical, agonizing howls echoed through the narrow alley.
Qin Fan didn’t even bother to glance at this pack of insects. Tapping the baseball bat lightly against his palm, he turned to face the leader, whose cigarette was not yet a third of the way burnt.
"I told you," he said mockingly. "I guaranteed this would be the single biggest regret of your life."
