The Revenge of the Reborn Supreme Sovereign-Chapter 223 - 219: Take Good Care of Yourself! (1)
"Cruel? A member of the Qin family is talking to me about being cruel? Hah!" Qin Fan threw his head back and laughed defiantly, a profound sorrow in his voice.
His subsiding murderous aura flared up once again as he roared, "How did my family of three survive in the Qin household all those years? Have you all developed selective amnesia? Punches and kicks, needle pricks, whippings, and cuts from broken glass... what haven’t you despicable bastards inflicted upon us? And all because my grandmother was once bewitched by this old monster?
"In a thundering voice, his malice intensifying, Qin Fan snapped his head toward the still-kneeling old man. "Qin SanSheng, touch your conscience and answer me: Are you even human? Are you a man?! Ah! Back when you were courting my grandmother, you went behind her back and climbed into bed with that vile woman for your so-called damn career! Fine, that’s human nature; there’s nothing more to say about it. But why did you continue to entangle yourself with my grandmother after you had already colluded with that wretched woman?
"Did you want to display your so-called sense of responsibility? Ha! It was you! You were the one who single-handedly brought about my grandmother’s death! She was willing to bear my father out of wedlock for you, and your ’responsibility’ was nothing more than a trade for an old building in an urban village, wasn’t it? My grandmother was innocent! She had no idea you were already married and entangled with that wicked woman. But because of her ignorance, you let her suffer countless torments and agonies at that woman’s hands! Is it possible you knew nothing about it?
"No! You knew! But for your own fame and fortune, you turned a goddamn blind eye! Did you ever once think about the kind of life my grandmother lived all those years? Did you?! What’s even more laughable is that after my grandmother passed, you despicable pair, worried about your reputation, brought my father, who knew nothing of the truth, back to the Qin family, dooming him to a lifetime in the shadows! In public, you were magnanimous and generous, and that evil woman even put on a phony act of treating him as her own son!
"But inside the Qin household, how much humiliation did my father suffer at the hands of your entire family? Since the day I was born into this family, have I had a single good day? Which one of your damn whelps hasn’t left a scar on my body? As time went on, you felt your public hypocrisy had done enough to shape your image, so you started plotting how to drive my family out, didn’t you? Well, you finally got your wish! 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖
"Old Master Qin, I just want to ask you one thing: Don’t you feel any guilt? Is your conscience clear? Will you dare to face my grandmother in the afterlife?! Ah! I never used to understand why my father chose to stay in the Qin family, to endure all that torment under such humiliating conditions. But then I understood. It was because he didn’t want to hate you. He didn’t want to hate his own biological father. Do you know why? Because he knew a simple truth: as long as he was in the Qin family, you were his father. And no son wants to hate his own father! But the moment he left, the moment all ties were severed, you became his enemy! His enemy!
"For over a decade, your indifference, your willful ignorance, and your cold-hearted cruelty forced a man who didn’t want to hate you to suffer more than ten years of wretched humiliation! And the greatest irony of all is that he never even knew that his own mother’s death was orchestrated by you and that evil woman!
"Haha! You care about power, don’t you? You care about the Lingnan Qin family you built, don’t you? Then I’ll destroy it all! I’ll fucking destroy everything! The Qin family is finished! It’s over! From this day forward, you’re nothing but a lonely dog guarding an empty house! Just sit here in your grand Qin mansion and wait for the news of your children and grandchildren’s deaths, one by one! Take care of yourself now. Don’t die too quickly. Wait until they’re all dead before you follow them, ha, hahahaha!"
Tears streamed down Qin Fan’s face. At this moment, even he couldn’t articulate his own feelings. But there was no doubt that a gut-twisting grief enveloped him as he spoke these words.
Hate? Yes, he hated them enough to wipe them out completely, down to the last chicken and dog. But that would be letting them off too easily. Death isn’t frightening. What’s truly terrifying is a life worse than death. He wanted every single one of them to live in excruciating agony, to suffer a fate worse than death!
"You... you, how do you know these things? How... how could you possibly know?" Old Man Qin stared with eyes wide in disbelief, his voice filled with absolute shock.
The things Qin Fan spoke of were secrets that, besides his deceased grandmother and the old couple themselves, no third person in the world should have known. Yet now, Qin Fan was recounting them in perfect detail.
How was this possible? It was impossible!
"Dad, is this true?"
"Grandfather, is this really true?"
Qin Jie and his daughter Qin Moran, the only family members left unscathed, spoke up, their faces etched with shock.
"I was wrong... I was wrong... I was so wrong!" Questioned by his son and granddaughter, the old man covered his aged eyes and broke down, wailing hoarsely.
"Young Master Fan, you’ve misunderstood the Old Master about being driven out of the family!" After a moment of internal struggle, Steward Fu stepped forward, biting his lip. He looked at Qin Fan without a trace of fear.
A misunderstanding?
Hearing this, Qin Fan laughed, a sound dripping with mockery and sarcasm.
"Oh? And what kind of misunderstanding would that be?" Qin Fan swallowed and sneered.
"Afu, shut your mouth!" Old Man Qin shouted frantically.
"No! Old Master, no matter what, I have to make them understand today!" Steward Fu stood his ground firmly and continued, "Young Master Fan, the Old Master only drove you out for your own good! He knew that when it came to your family, he could no longer restrain the other members of the Qin family. Under those circumstances, sending you away was the best way to protect you, but none of you understood his difficult position. Young Master Fan, I know I’m just a servant and it’s not my place, but I’m still begging you... please, forgive the Old Master. After all, he is still your grandfather!"
Protection? A difficult position? If I hadn’t lived to be thirty in my past life, I might have actually considered whether these words were true. But my parents were thrown in prison and my own legs were crippled. Was that supposed to be ’protection’? Was that the so-called ’difficult position’? If Steward Fu had kept his mouth shut, it would have been fine, but his words directly struck the most sensitive nerve in Qin Fan’s heart!
A savage ferocity contorted his face.
He shot forward and swept his leg at Steward Fu without any regard for his age or position. "You have no right to speak, much less meddle in my feud. Get lost!!!"
The fierce kick sent Steward Fu flying several meters away. He landed in a heap, clutching his stomach and writhing on the ground, unable to get back up.
"Old Master Qin, enjoy what’s left of your life!" Qin Fan walked over to the old man and slowly leaned in, a chillingly sinister smile on his face. "Live a long one, so you can watch how every last one of those bastards dies! If you have time, you can even apply to watch their executions! BANG! One shot for each of them. How satisfying! And don’t worry. With my status as Master Qin, I’m sure the higher-ups will do me the favor of carrying out the executions by firing squad. Hahaha, hahaha!"
