The rise of the pervert primordial-Chapter 662: Is chaos better than order? (part 17)
Three swords flashed at Nerissa’s direction, creating three different streams of flames, one dark orange, one blue and one purple, which all converged around the pretty figure of a blue haired girl, to then explode, producing a cloud of flames.
This time there was a reaction, meaning that unlike the previous clash, Nerissa couldn’t completely block their attacks, which consisted in both slashes and flames, as their flames weren’t put out before exploding, probably because the captain was added to the mix.
"How did that taste bitch, so what if you have a defensive treasure to block intent, the real threat behind our attacks lies in our flames!", exclaimed the rapier user as he saw the flame cloud that engulfed the blue haired woman who has been humiliating him ever since she took his arm.
"Well, certainly that cheap swordsmanship which lacks any "substance" of yours can’t pose a threat to me, but these lame flames aren’t doing any better either", a mellow yet fierce voice came from within the cloud of flames before the thing exploded into many wisps that dispelled a second later.
What lied behind the flame cloud was a perfectly fine Nerissa who had was covered in a thin layer of royal blue colored water, that then evaporated without drenching even the corner of Nerissa’s skirt.
"Again!", the captain didn’t waste a single second, since he had a time limit for the usage of the purple flames also called second level of Blaze Commandment, something of which the other two were aware of as well.
’Change of plans, go all out, wear out her defenses, I’ll take care of the rest, said the captain directly to those two who inwardly nodded to then flash in different directions.
The original idea was to use the breaches on the blue haired girl’s defenses caused by the continuous attacks of his subordinates to land his own attacks, but the previous exchange made it clear that the enemy’s defenses were too strong for those two to bypass them in the five-minute time limit he had, with regular attacks.
Be it that either their offensive was too weak or her defense was too strong, which was the option that the captain was forced to lean towards, given that with his soul enhanced spirit sense he could see the water protection from earlier fixing itself basically at the same time at which it was being wore down by their attacks.
In other words, quantity will get them nowhere, so the captain instead ordered those two to use their trump cards right away.
Nerissa’s eyes glowed for a second feeling the difference between all the clashes she had had with those guys so far, and the one this time around, which was basically the fact that they were pushing themselves to the limit to use Blazing Sword alongside an attack type spirit technique, as well as their movement technique at the same time.
"Red Thrust!", the first one to reach the position he was aiming at, which was behind Nerissa from above, was the rapier guy, apparently the combination of the flames burning around his legs, sword and his body in general caused some sort of change, since a slight red glow accompanied him as he thrusted his rapier frontwards.
"Red Slash", the vice-captain on the other hand appeared at Nerissa’s right, his one-edged sword moved alongside his whole body, the red hue that accompanied his sword was more notorious since the flames covering his sword, legs and body were of a light blue color, also his attack went all the way from the right to Nerissa’s left side due to ample area of his slash.
The captain saw those two’s attacks unfold in slow motion and he stepped in a fraction of a second before their swords reached their target, just when he saw the first signs of royal blue water appearing to fend off the incoming attacks, he joined in as well.
"Red Crush!", his attack aimed at the blue haired girl’s chest, using the length of the heavy sword to make sure that it will hit something.
A slight fierce smile flourished in Nerissa’s pretty face as she snapped her fingers, just in time for the three attacks to reach her.
"Boooom!", a storm of fire and a thunder-like explosion followed, but instead of a victorious expression, what appeared on those three faces was… terror.
"N-No way", mumbled the vice-captain in disbelief, it was understandable, their swords were blocked by swords of the same type, the rapier of the one-armed guy had its tip met with the tip of a rapier completely made out of royal blue water.
The one-edged sword of the vice-captain had its sharp side perfectly blocked by the edge of a water one edged sword and probably what horrified those three the most is the fact that the heavy sword of the captain was stopped by a heavy sword completely made out of water.
In other words, their swords were stopped without Nerissa using her blue jade sword, which also meant that said sword was free as of current.
"Watch…", the captain immediately reacted as soon as he realized that the "sword" blocking him wasn’t the real one, but he was a step too late.
"Formless Torrent", a mellow voice reached the captain’s ears, then under his hatred filled expression, his cousin had a fist sized hole blasted through his head while the vice was sliced in half in diagonal, they died before they even had the chance to scream.
"Clang!", the captain on the other hand manage to barely react in time and use the flat side of his heavy sword to block in front of him, just in time for a "heavy sword" composed of two different blue tones this time, to descend on him, for a fraction of a second he was happy to have blocked the attack that was supposed to kill him, but then blood was forced out of his mouth and a loud shattering sound echoed through the battlefield.
"Crack!", the captain’s pupils contracted like needles as he saw cracks expand all over his priced sword, he finally lost it, with a quick maneuver he tore off the pendant he was wearing and crushed it with his free hand.
A thirty-meter sized red ethereal sword manifested with the captain as its center, the shockwave actually pushed Nerissa a few dozens of meters away, but very much to the displease of the captain she didn’t suffer any wound.
"How the hell did you move that fast!", exclaimed the captain, he refused to believe what he could barely witness earlier.
When Nerissa used "Formless Torrent", she seemed to disappear and the water swords she had created were dispelled as well, but that’s only what it looked like from the outside, the truth is that she flashed three times in an instant.
The first one was to join her blue jade sword with the water rapier, and then use the resulting dual blue toned rapier to pierce the head of the one-armed guy, the second flash was to appear in front of the vice and once again combine her blue jade sword with the one-edged water one, resulting in dual blue toned sword of the same type with which she sliced the vice in half.
And last but not least the third flash was used to join her sword with the heavy sword made of water to crush the captain, but he did manage to react after the first two flashes, which led us to the current scenery in which the captain was gritting his teeth as he heard Nerissa’s answer.
"It wasn’t that fast, it’s just that soul enhancement or not, your battle instincts are trash compared to the ones I’m used to deal with", she said referring to Iris, who is able to keep up with her insane reaction time result of her soul path cultivation with her battle instincts gained thanks to her body path cultivation.
Seeing the twisted expression the captain’s face, Aster who was observing the fight from the side, couldn’t help but think.
’Imagine what his expression would be like, if he would have noticed why their attacks didn’t do anything to her…’.
Besides some really pricey spirit treasures, only intent can perfectly nullify intent and while Aster might be able to create even light armor with a relatively decent intent-resistant effect, if it was applied to clothes, the effect would be barely usable if anything at all.
Because he is a spirit blacksmith, so clothing isn’t his line of expertise, just like how spirit chefs are a subdivision of alchemist that specialize in food, there exist spirit tailors, anyway, the point is that the outfit that Nerissa was using which is what he gifted her for their first ever date, had no intent-resistance effects at all.
So then how did her water swords block those three’s intent cladded swords at the same time and why did she take the extra milliseconds needed to join her sword with the water ones before killing her opponents, the answer is the same, she split her intent into the three swords.
Stay tuned with novelbuddy
Or to be more accurate only coated the borders of her water swords with intent, the impressive part wasn’t the fact that with just a third of the total strength/length of her intent, she was able to block the three intents of her enemies, she has reached the peak of second level, so from the very beginning intent wise those three stood no chance even if they lumped their intents together, they weren’t even in the same class as Nerissa.
The incredible part was the fluid maneuverability she had to not only split her intent into three, but also to apply it to swords that weren’t the same type as the one she uses, of course that doesn’t mean she gained the properties of said swords, she was still a one hand long sword user.
But Aster could see that the diminish in the efficiency of her intent, even if not applied to the sword she had expertise in, was nothing much.
’Now that’s what a "formless" intent should be like’, thought Aster.
Leaving that aside, the captain saw red, his whole team was dead, he had to use his life-saving treasure and he was being deemed inferior when compared to a mixed outcast, he who had climbed all the way until nearly reaching the ones representing the Redheart at the front.
And the worst part of it, is that in his mind what was preventing him from rising to glory was a blouse and a skirt, an external force and something that he could not even dream to obtain as of current.
"I’ll tear that damn defensive treasure out of you!", roared the captain, the purple flames around his sword were absorbed back into his body and then he actually threw his now damaged heavy sword aside.
"Blazing Sun!", while being protected by the projection of that red sword, the captain unleashed all the flames he had at his disposition for the incoming four minutes and something that he gained thanks to Blazing Glory, but in a single instant dose and accompanied by all the spirit energy he had left.
He actually used his life-saving treasure as an offensive mean, taking advantage of the fact that his life could be protected once, he used something that he shouldn’t be able to without any reserves.
The result was a light purple sphere of flames that engulfed everything in a two-hundred-meter area, at the representative’s area the female elders from the Redheart family nodded.
"Not as clean as we would have wanted it to be, but it’s over", said the younger looking woman to which the older one nodded, only for a mellow voice to interrupt their "silent" celebration.
"Nine Sea Sword, Splitting Tsunami", the glorious looking purple flame sphere was suddenly divided by a straight royal blue line, that advanced until it reached around half a kilometer of length.
Contrary to what one would expect, despite the water that accompanied the line of light that was dividing the purple flame sphere, there was no clash due to the differences in temperature, the flame sphere simply extinguished, revealing the what was hidden below of it.
The captain whose expression was frozen as his body had that royal blue line of light perfectly dividing it in vertical.
"How…", managed to mumble the captain before his body separated in two halves that fell from the sky, it’s worth mentioning that the slashing light as well as the water that accompanied it, kept advancing, nearly reaching a whole kilometer in length before it was dispelled in countless royal blue particles.
"Ridiculous, such a wide area of effect is nearly reaching the territory of a Sea of Knowledge realm!", exclaimed one of the two guys related to Iris’s cousin, he could do such an attack now that he had advanced to the Mortal Transcending realm, but not only would he for sure faint due to exhaustion, but he was sure he couldn’t just shoot it without any preparation like that blue haired girl just did.
Needless to say, but the two female elders of the Redheart were trembling due to anger, the one that just died was among the best outside of the direct descendants, having the potential to reach their level in the future and he just died without an intact corpse, now imagine how their faces twisted when they saw a thread of water place a few things on top of Nerissa’s right palm.
They were the spatial rings of the captain and the vice which the blue haired girl recovered after killing them, to then put them in her pocket causing a few tinkling sounds to be produced due to the other two rings which she already had there.
There were another few surprised people, first and formal, Aster, he has experienced the original three swords created by Nerissa firsthand, in their non-lethal way maybe but even if she attacked with the intention to kill, the concept behind her attacks wouldn’t have changed.
They would have become way fiercer of course similar to the level that Iris displayed before, her fourth sword was unexplored territory which is why he was surprised by the "Formless Torrent", since that’s a technique she created in the short span of time that has passed since their date, proving her amazing comprehension abilities.
As for her energy reserves which appeared to be monstrous for her realm, in part that’s the case and in part the ability of her fourth sword to manipulate water to the extreme, allowed her to gather the water spirit energy from the surroundings with ease, which resulted in she manifesting huge quantities of water seemingly out of nowhere in fractions of a second.
Aster already knew she could do that, in fact he told her to flaunt that talent of hers in the face of those guys, since he needed something that could take away the attention from her peak second level intent, he tricked the eyes of the outsiders with it, just like how he did for Iris.
But that last attack was completely out of Aster’s expectations.
’Did she actually combine "Splitting Wave" with "Raising Tsunami", I’m a hundred percent sure she couldn’t do that back then, otherwise she could have cut through the light protection without the need of the fourth sword’s manipulation ability to increase the heaviness of her attacks’, wondered Aster.
As if she felt Aster’s gaze on her, Nerissa turned towards his direction and brightly smiled at him, with a competitive light shinning in her pretty blue eyes.
"My, what a fierce "senior sister", I guess she really didn’t like the result of our previous encounter, well it’s fine since I needed a sparring partner for Iris anyway", jokingly said Aster, amusingly enough while Iris now needed to focus in control, Nerissa was now focusing in increasing the strength of her attacks, even in that aspect they were complete opposites, despite sharing so many other similitudes.
Another of the people that were surprised by the result of the previous battle, was none other than Valentina, in other words, Nerissa’s master herself, while unlike Layla she did know that Nerissa had reached the peak of the second level of intent, in part because Valentina is not only a bit older but also stronger than the Bladeheart princess.
And in part because Iris isn’t exactly talkative while Nerissa is much more relaxed, at least with those with whom she is close, so she didn’t forget to mention her advance to her cousin, however she didn’t tell anything about those new techniques she just used, not to mention that she used some of the real power of her manual, something that Valentina didn’t know was possible as it is supposedly incomplete.
Naturally her display of insane water manipulation and monstrous energy reserves drew the attention away from her unusually strong sword intent, something that didn’t escape Valentina’s eyes.
’That little girl, hiding secrets from your master, wait a second was it because of him just like with Agnes, perhaps I should investigate this matter personally…’, thought Valentina as she stole a gaze to Aster.
Unfortunately, the last groups of people that were paying an out of normal amount of attention to Nerissa weren’t the pleasant type, the Redheart representatives were furious, one of their better prospects outside of the direct descendants, which normally wouldn’t have appeared here had it not been for the events currently unfolding, was cut in half right in front of them.
And then we have the other side of the previously organized attack on the blue haired girl, the young master from the Ocean Aquamarine, Wade who seemed to be lost in his thoughts while frowning and glaring at Nerissa.
Only for him to return to the real world when he felt a familiar spirit energy coming from the battlefield, Wade immediately looked for the origin of it, and found it in the form of his young brother, the glasses guy that suffered a loss in Aster’s hand, or more accurately his sword, not too long ago.
Judging by his angered expression and the fact that he was accompanied by the bulky guy from the Mountain Amber family as well as another three peak Star Tribulation, two guys and a girl, they were going to look for trouble which made Wade curse to his insides.
’Damn it, why is that idiot acting so impulsively!’, but just as he proposed to send a message to his brother, an old voice reached his ears.
’The young master ordered me to ask young lord Wade to not interfere, since now third parties can’t participate, then he wants to get back at the one who humiliated him’.
Wade frowned as he looked in the direction of the half heavenly realm protector that came with him, the other day the old man wasn’t present when he, his brother and the others were rendered unable to move, which still caused him conflict, at least until the old man added.

’The young master said that the plan isn’t to fight head on… he said that he simply was going to take something from the Lord of the Twin Sword Valley’.
Wade ultimately sighed, he understood his brother because if he could step into the battlefield right now, he would have done the same, because if what he thought was right, then… no one would be able to interfere in their way.
’Fine but tell him to not take things too far, interrogation is fine, I’ll take care of this side’, he said as he stole a gaze at Valentina.
