Chapter 90: Replica

The Yellow Arrow pack was in grief.

At the same time, they were in discussion on who should be the one to take over the pack next. Alpha James still didn’t have a child.

Therefore, the potential heirs happened to be his brothers and uncles. Since all the neighboring packs were eyeing them, they needed to make a decision efficiently.

Only the strongest and smartest one would be allowed to succeed that position.

At the same time, greed began to rise in their hearts, and there were few factions already formed, expressing their opinion for a certain werewolf.

As the meeting was set up, the cordial beginning soon became disarrayed, and fights began to break out between them.

"You think he should be the Alpha when he has his head between women’s legs every other day!? Do you want to turn this pack into a brothel!?"

"You’re the one to speak! This pack made it so far due to its glorious past! A coward like him would only cause it to collapse."

"That’s why, Tony should be the Alpha. He is smart, resourceful, and strong. He is Alpha James’s beloved cousin for a reason. He is an exact replica of Alpha James."

Hearing that, the werewolf named Tony cleared his throat. Although his heart was burning with excitement, he maintained a calm demeanour and expressed, "If this is what everyone wants, I will gladly take up this—"

His words were cut short when the door was slammed open. A powerful aura swept over them, pressing down on them, and all the arrogance on Tony’s face was erased.

His hand trembled.

"I will be the next Alpha to Yellow Arrow pack." The tone was absolute and domineering.

The eyes directed towards Mathew, and they widened due to shock. The last time they saw Mathew, they didn’t even acknowledge him.

He was merely a weakling sitting in the position of Alpha.

But now his overwhelming presence was very much reminiscent of Alpha James.

How could that be?

Tony gathered his spirits, knowing he couldn’t let himself be overpowered.

"What are you doing here!? This is Yellow Arrow pack! How dare a pathetic mutt like you make trouble here!?" Tony yelled, raising his claws to attack him.

Mathew’s reflexes were fast. His eyes sharpened as he grabbed on to Tony’s wrist. He twisted it, and the next instant a crack was heard.

As he was pinned to the ground helplessly, Mathew pressed down on his neck with his heel, making his momentum known. Next second, he increased the pressure, and everyone watched in horror as Tony was out of breath.

Tyler then spoke out, "This is merely a warning. Anyone who dares to cross Alpha Mathew will meet a worse ending. Everyone, now bow down to him to show your respect."

The members of the Yellow Arrow exchanged gazes. There was no way they would let a stranger take over their pack and insult them.

They stared at Mathew and rest of the Blue Rise pack members in hostility, about to make a move.

"I finally got my hands on this little thing. Let’s roast it for dinner today. I bet it’s going to be delicious!" commented Stella, lifting the bunny by the ears.

Seeing that made Violet’s eyes widen, and she glared at her.

"Bunny is my gift to Alpha Sylas. Let go of it!" she exclaimed, trying to reach out for the rabbit.

But Stella’s reflexes were fast. She lifted the bunny and took a step back, keeping it away from Violet. In her pregnancy, she was no match for Stella.

Then, from the corner of her eyes, she spotted Lucas, and in a grievance filled voice, she exclaimed, "Lucas!"

As she rushed towards him, he grabbed on to her shoulder, trying to ease her.

"Whoa, there, Princess! Don’t run. I can’t afford to have you get hurt," he expressed. "What agitated you now?"

Violet pointed towards Stella and brought up, "She stole my bunny and wants to roast it!"

Lucas sighed and said, "Stella, I told you to not mess with Violet. Now, hand over that bunny to her."

Stella narrowed her eyes at him. "That’s not what you said to me in bed yesterday. You told me I would have more say over Violet. That’s why, they say men are all pigs. In order to sleep with women, they can say anything." 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚

Violet glared at Lucas.

At the same time, Lydia walked into the kitchen, turning a deaf ear to all the fights going on.

Lucas pointed to Stella and himself, trying to defend.

"When did I sleep with you last night? Don’t go and blacken my reputation like that. Princess, listen, I never said that to her," Lucas tried to explain himself.

Violet scoffed. "You’re both a pig and a liar! If you did it, just admit it!"

"Why are you blaming an innocent man here?"

As Violet was about to retort, the door to the house opened, and an intimidating presence filled the room. All the nerves in Violet grew alert, and she stepped to stand behind Lucas.

Violet tilted her head to find that scarred, menacing face. It was Caspian, Sylas’s uncle— the current Alpha of Crimson Moon pack.

No matter how many times she looked at him, she couldn’t get used to his presence.

It felt too overwhelming for her.

"Aren’t you supposed to be an Alpha heir? How come you hide like a scared mouse everytime you see me? Where is your pride and momentum?" the man coldly asked in disapproval.

Violet gulped and straightened up. Her hazel eyes stared at Sylas pleadingly, silently asking him for help.

"Don’t scare the child, Uncle," Sylas said.

Caspian shook his head.

"You have grown soft, Sylas. Is this whom you’re nurturing to be an Alpha? At this rate, she will always run to you for protection," Caspian commented.

Violet pulled her lips into a thin line and stared at the ground.

Although she wished to defend herself, she couldn’t deny she was too timid in Caspian’s presence.

"You can’t blame her. I am always willing to protect her."
