The Seven Sisters and Their Hidden King-Chapter 194: John Was Not an Ordinary Man
Chapter 194 - 194: John Was Not an Ordinary Man
Tate was not impressed with John.
He didn't realize that in John's mind, it was already quite gracious of him to even greet him.
Call him uncle?
Dream on.
Even if the ancestors of the Bush family crawled out of their graves, they wouldn't dare claim to be on the same level as the King of Horizon.
John kept his gaze steady and forward.
After a simple nod to Tate, he didn't waste a single extra word and headed straight toward his beloved sister, Queenie.
Tate felt humiliated—but managed to hold his temper. After all, John hadn't done anything particularly offensive. At most, he was just a bit... impolite.
Nick and Marcia, standing nearby, immediately noticed Tate's displeasure. They exchanged a helpless glance and gave bitter smiles.
They understood. They'd once felt the same way about John.
Their first impression?
Arrogant.
He carried himself with an air of superiority that was hard to ignore.
But as time passed, and as John's abilities and identity slowly came to light, they realized—he wasn't arrogant at all.
He was confident.
There's a world of difference.
Arrogance without strength is foolishness.
Confidence backed by strength is power.
John belonged firmly in the second category.
In the beginning, Nick and Marcia had also disliked John. But now? They practically worshiped him. If it were socially acceptable, they'd build a shrine and light incense in his honor.
Today, one of the reasons they came to the Bush family was to clear up this exact kind of misunderstanding.
The two families had always had a good relationship. It would be a shame to let tension between the younger generation drive a wedge between them.
Nick clapped Tate gently on the shoulder and chuckled.
"So, what do you think? Not impressed with him, right? We felt the same way at first."
Tate frowned slightly, puzzled.
"What are you trying to say?"
Nick smiled. "Well, there's still time before dinner. Why don't we go sit in the backyard pavilion? We can chat over some tea. Let the kids stay here."
Clearly, Nick knew this place well.
Though still unsure of their intentions, Tate followed them. The three of them walked to the backyard and settled into the wooden pavilion. A nanny soon arrived with freshly brewed tea.
Tate narrowed his eyes. "Alright, what's this about? Are you telling me John isn't as simple as he seems?"
"You could say that," Nick replied with a smile.
"Do you remember the charity auction from a few days ago?"
"You mean the one with Master of Clouds?"
As a prominent businessman, Tate had also attended that event.
But he didn't see what that had to do with John.
Nick continued, "At that auction, ten new works by Master of Clouds were displayed. At the same time, there was a promotion for the BEAUTY masks. Both are connected to John."
Tate raised an eyebrow. "Go on."
Nick gave a small nod. "John is Master of Clouds. And the BEAUTY masks? Those were created under his instruction."
"What?"
Tate sat up, stunned. "You're joking, right?"
"Not at all," Nick replied solemnly.
Both he and Marcia wore complex expressions.
In truth, Queenie had told them about the BEAUTY masks. As for John being the Master of Clouds, he'd deliberately revealed that to humiliate them at the auction.
It wasn't until after the event that Nick and Marcia realized how severely they'd underestimated John.
Tate took a deep breath. "I didn't expect that at all."
Nick leaned forward. "And that's not all."
He lowered his voice slightly.
"Tate, I've never told anyone this before, but I've suffered from a private illness for over a decade. I've kept it hidden. Then John took one look at me, saw the problem immediately, and cured it."
Tate was speechless.
Nick's confession wasn't just about his illness—it was about John's ability as a healer.
If his claim was true, then John wasn't just an artist and an entrepreneur.

He was a miracle worker.
Tate took another deep breath.
Then Marcia added softly, "And it's still not over..."
Tate froze.
Still not over?
His head was spinning.
Marcia's voice dropped to a serious tone.
"John... he's a cultivator. A Heaven Master."
Tate wasn't the only one shocked. Even Nick's jaw dropped.
He turned to Marcia. "What?"
"I just found out recently," Marcia explained. "When I was chatting with Zoey one day, she accidentally let it slip. I confronted John, and he admitted it."
She paused, then added slowly, "I saw it with my own eyes—he walked across the river like it was solid ground. Not a ripple. That's something only a Heaven Master can do."
"Hiss—"
Tate sucked in a sharp breath.
Finally, it all made sense.
He'd been wondering what made John so exceptional—why Nick and Marcia valued him so highly.
Now he knew.
John wasn't just a gifted artist.
He wasn't just a genius entrepreneur.
He wasn't just a brilliant doctor.
He was a Heaven Master.
How could his son, Justin, possibly compare?
Tate could also now understand John's aloof demeanor.
Even among martial artists, a Heaven Master could hold their head high.
And Tate?
He was just an ordinary man.
How could he expect someone like John to call him "uncle"?
Thinking back on his own earlier thoughts, Tate suddenly felt ridiculous.
Marcia sighed softly. "We couldn't say all this directly to Justin. We didn't want to shatter his confidence. That's why we took this opportunity today—to help clear the air."
She had hinted to Justin more than once, but he refused to give up.
What else could she do?
She couldn't exactly point at him and say:
"You silly boy. Stop dreaming. Compared to my most handsome and powerful nephew, you're just trash."
That would've been too cruel.
