The Shadow Monarch In The Marvel World-Chapter 86 - 85
Chapter 86 - 85
"What are you doing?" Within the Outside, in the space between the Farshore and the multiverse, stood a realm unlike any other—a shadowverse, born from the fusion of every cosmos that had ever existed. This super multiverse pulsed with ancient power, and deep within its heart, Ember stood, staring at Supergirl, who was calmly cooking over an open flame.
"I heard somewhere that cooking is the way to a man's heart," Supergirl said with a light smile, her voice casual. "Since Ashborn loves to eat, I thought I'd make him something."
Ember's brow twitched, her expression tightening instantly. Her gaze lingered on the simmering pot before flicking toward Supergirl's serene smile. The message was clear. A challenge had been issued.
Supergirl paused as she realized what Ember's gaze met. She didn't need super vision to know a storm was coming. As expected, Ember turned without a word, walking toward another part of the kitchen with the slow, calm of someone preparing for war.
She was going to cook. Not for Ashborn's heart—but to make sure no one else claimed it first.
She stared at the kryptonian dish she had been preparing, her confidence slowly crumbling the longer she looked at it. After a few seconds of hesitation, she sighed and dumped the entire thing out, deciding it wasn't going to be good enough. Without missing a beat, she turned to the chef and asked him to activate the food generation bag to create fresh ingredients—this time, she was going to make something better. Something worthy.
Meanwhile, Ember wasn't focused on the kitchen anymore. Instead, she had Ashborn's phone in her hands, scrolling with a calculating look in her eyes, searching for the perfect dish to cook. But along the way, curiosity got the better of her.
She'd stumbled into his search history. Strangely, there was only one thing Ashborn had watched on the hub. Just one. That was... odd. She knew him—he was a pervert. There should've been a long list of visits to the hub, or at least a history that showed her something she could use against him.
Instead, there was just one lonely entry. And that made her even more suspicious.
"What is Two Girls One Cup?" Ember muttered, clicking the tab out of pure curiosity. The website loaded instantly, and without hesitation, she hit play.
"Everything has to be perfect," Supergirl said softly to herself, carefully measuring out ingredients as she focused on her dish. Her attention was sharp—until a blood-curdling scream shattered the quiet.
The sudden shriek startled Supergirl, causing her hand to jerk and spill flour all over the counter. Irritated, she turned toward the source of the chaos—only to see Ember bolting toward the sink in full panic. Without saying a word, Ember grabbed the soap and began furiously scrubbing her eyes, her face twisted in pure horror.
"What are you doing?" Supergirl asked, giving Ember a confused, slightly disturbed look.
Ember threw her a bloodshot glare but didn't respond. Without a word, she turned and stormed off, marching straight toward Ashborn.
At that moment, Ashborn was laughing hysterically in front of the TV, which was playing a replay of Ember's reaction to watching the video.
"You disgusting bastard! I will purify you!" Ember roared, summoning her flames as she launched herself at Ashborn.
Ashborn quickly leapt out of the way, dodging her strike and putting distance between them in a single swift movement.
"What the hell is wrong with you?!" Ashborn shouted, his expression a mix of disbelief and irritation. "Who just attacks someone out of nowhere like that?!"
"I thought darkness didn't affect you... But I stand corrected! You're disgusting!" Ember shouted, flames flaring behind her. "How could you sit there and watch something that vile?"
Ashborn glanced at the screen, which still displayed a paused image of Ember mid-reaction. He struggled to hold back his laugh before speaking.
"It's not that disgusting," he said softly. "I think it could look nice... given the chance."
"Y-You!" Ember nearly gagged at his words. Her eyes burned with disgust—pure, unfiltered revulsion that seemed to feed the fire swelling behind her.
"It was disgusting. And for you to look upon such filth and defend it..." Her voice trembled with fury. "I shall purify you."
Her flames surged higher, crackling with intensity as Ashborn's gaze drifted back toward the TV once more. That action of ignoring her to look at the TV... that alone was enough to push her rage to the edge.
"I mean... it is disgusting, but someone might like it... right? I don't think you should be so harsh about it. It kind of works me up sometimes, and... I think it's close to me. I think that's worth something." Ashborn said, leaving Ember frozen with a horrified look.
"What's wrong with you? How can you like that shit?" Ember snapped, her voice rising in disbelief. But despite herself, she glanced toward the screen—toward whatever Ashborn kept stealing glances at... and her face immediately went blank.
What followed was Ashborn collapsing onto the floor, nearly choking from laughter. Ember's disgust quickly shifted, boiling into pure killing intent. freёnovelkiss.com
"You're right, it's truly disgusting—look at it!" Ashborn laughed so hard he nearly choked, but the next instant, he vanished in a blink just as Ember erupted into her phoenix form, flames swirling like a solar storm.
"Can't those two go a single day without turning everything into a battlefield?" Warper muttered, glancing up at the sky as Ashborn and the enraged Ember shot across the sky in another one of their chaotic chases. This had become the daily routine—either Ember lit the spark, or Ashborn poured fuel on the fire. Yelling, bickering, fighting, it didn't matter. If one wasn't chasing the other with lethal intent, they were probably arguing loud enough to shake the stars.
"I think it's cute," Mage said with a light smile. "Almost like a husband and wife who can't go long without each other."
"I don't like her," Susan muttered under her breath. Her voice was soft, but the bitterness behind it was hard to miss.
Warper rolled his eyes at the comment. For all her attempts to seem indifferent, it was obvious to anyone paying attention—Susan was in love with their Sovereign. She always claimed her place beside him was out of duty, that she was his shield and protector. But everyone knew better. Her skills leaned far more toward overwhelming force than simple defense, yet she never strayed far from his side in battle.
With those words, silence fell over the group. No one had a response, so they simply stood there, watching the familiar scene unfold—Ashborn running for his life as Ember chased him down in a fury. It was a chaotic dance they had all grown used to, a strange rhythm of mayhem and affection that somehow always ended with everything returning to peace.
"My lord, I have discovered all the means to reach Dominionhood in all four paths," the Doctor said with a smile.
Ashborn's eyes lit up with interest. Ever since hearing about Dominionhood, he had been eager to get it. Why wouldn't he? He wanted to be overpowered to the extreme... so he entrusted the task to the Doctor, who now stood ready to guide him into the process of becoming Enigma.
"With this, I believe you should now possess the full might of the Sovereign Force, once you complete the transforms. You would be completely free from the bounds of time," the Doctor said. Ashborn gave a small nod, already having considered as much.
The Doctor then pulled out his phone, and with a single press, the process of entering Dominionhood began.
Ashborn's body started to unravel, fragmenting into nothing until only his will remained. The Doctor watched with a calm smile, unfazed by the destruction before him.
In truth, Ashborn had already attained Dominionhood. This entire process was Ashborn pulling the strings for him to be born.. Dominionhood had freed him from time itself, granting him the power to exist before his own birth. All that had happened, every step along the way, Ashborn had played a role in it... But no one could have foreseen just how long this process would take.
Years passed. Without the constant clashes between Ember and Ashborn, the Shadowverse grew unnaturally quiet. The endless tension that once rippled through its depths had faded, replaced by a stillness that felt almost foreign.
Every Shadow remained fiercely loyal to Ashborn, each one acting solely to please him. With their unwavering discipline and devotion, there was no room for chaos, no evil stirring in the dark corners of the verse. Instead, they immersed themselves in the roles they loved
Those who weren't Shadows turned their eyes elsewhere, drawn to the events unfolding in Battleworld, where Doom ruled as emperor.
They watched as the years rolled on. Reed Richards and others eventually appeared. Even Thanos stepped forward, but Doom crushed him without effort, ripping his spine out like it was nothing.
Much happened there. But when it was over, the tale could be summed up in one truth: Doom was defeated. And from the ashes of his fall, Reed Richards rose to design the next cosmos that would come.
Ember stepped forward during the transition, fully aware of Ashborn's desire to weave himself into the balance of the next cosmos. Since he couldn't act on it directly, she took it upon herself to do it for him.
Through her actions, Ashborn became the shadow cast across the omniverse yet to come. All that would die and fail to reach the afterlife would now fall into his domain—a realm between endings.
But death was no longer final there. Those who entered Ashborn's domain would be reincarnated as Shadows. For the first time, his Shadows would be able to give birth. These new Shadows, born from the remnants of souls, would awaken without memory of their past lives.
It was something Ashborn had long desired. He knew his Shadows yearned for more than endless war—they missed the beauty of life. And now, through this change, they could come as close to living as their nature allowed—bearing children, raising families, all while remaining loyal soldiers of shadow.
What Ember didn't know, however, there was another world being mixed into the omniverse about to be born. As for what this world was... we have to go back in time.
Even after the rebirth of the Omniverse, Ashborn remained silent. He did not awaken—something that left Supergirl and the others uneasy. They had expected their stay in this omniverse to last no more than a week, but time stretched on far beyond what they had planned. Concerned and restless, they needed to return to the DC Omniverse to ensure everything was still intact.
So, long before Battleworld was destroyed, Ember joined them, with her newfound power, She was like the Death of the Endless, and could now travel between the two worlds freely.
DC
The DC Omniverse had been utterly reshaped. Darkseid now reigned supreme, wielding the Anti-Life Equation, a Black Lantern Ring, Crisis Energy, and the complete set of Ashborn's gear. He was a force beyond comprehension—unstoppable in every sense.
Cunning as ever, Darkseid had manipulated every former host of the fragments' armor, using them as pawns before stripping them of their worth and claiming the armor for himself. But he didn't stop there. He hunted down powerful entities, stole their abilities, and bound them into his service—undead followers loyal only to his will.
And as if the Anti-Life Equation wasn't enough, Darkseid had gotten his hands on more power. He had the Anti-Death Equation as well.
Darkseid killed Perpetua, stole her power, and raised her as one of his loyal undead. For those unaware, Perpetua had shaped the entire multiverse, while Lucifer had crafted the omniverse itself. Perpetua had once been a cosmic powerhouse beyond compare—but even she couldn't stand before the might Darkseid now possessed.
For a time, DC was truly losing. The heroes were overwhelmed, driven back with no hope of victory. One by one, they fled. Resistance crumbled under Darkseid's relentless assault, and his vision became clear: he would turn all of creation into his obedient slave.
But then, something unexpected shattered the silence. Ashborn's mansion suddenly exploded.
No one had seen it coming. Yet the truth was simple: Ashborn had foreseen all of it... except one. He hadn't anticipated just how long he'd be absent. But even that, he had planned for.
The mansion had been secretly holding... Talia? Yes, somehow, she was still aligned with Ashborn—an unexpected reveal that raised more than a few questions, especially considering her absence over the past several Chapters.
