The Slender Waist-Chapter 85 - 68: Concocting a Crime_2
Feng Yun did not struggle, nor did she find his words grating, her numb heart long ceased to feel any pain. She faintly smiled, extending an arm to resist the pressure coming from his chest, her face barely concealing her mockery.
"So, General, you have decided all this is my doing? To seek justice for your concubine, for the Empress Dowager?"
Pei Jue did not speak, staring into her eyes. In the dark depth of his eyes was an indescribable chill, as though in the next second he would flay her skin to reveal the color of her heart and whether it bore the words "chief culprit."
Feng Yun’s mouth corners tilted slightly upward.
Her scornful cold laughter was well disguised by her stubborn temper.
What revealed itself was frivolity, seduction, and a reckless madness.
"Then tell me, General, how do you plan to punish me?"
Smiling mischievously, she stood on her tiptoes and pressed her warm, damp lips against Pei Jue’s prominent Adam’s apple, gently biting it, her eyes icy cold as if ready to tear open his throat and drink his blood right then and there.
"Let’s end it swiftly. Make a clean break."
Pei Jue took a deep breath.
The smoldering fire in his dark eyes suddenly flared.
His arm tightened, and he scooped her up horizontally.
Feng Yun was light in his strong embrace, her whole body soft and limp, as though a little more force could snap her in half at the waist.
Redness tinged the corners of Pei Jue’s eyes, desire spreading within them...
He walked past the curtains toward the soft couch when a small shadow suddenly lunged at him from a corner.
"Ao!"
The growling carried the wildness of a beast, charging at his face with the speed of lightning.
Pei Jue deftly sidestepped and kicked out towards it.
"Don’t hurt it!" Feng Yun grabbed him at once, her gaze fragile and fearful.
She feared Pei Jue would hurt the baby AO.
Just like she feared he would harm Wen Xingsu.
Pei Jue withdrew his hand and gently placed her on the couch.
The baby AO, missing its target, growled, hastily leaping onto the windowsill, its eyes locked onto the predator before it that was even more ferocious, its body crouched still, emitting threatening growls, eyes filled with wariness.
Feng Yun’s eyes were moist, "Baby AO, don’t be scared, there’s no need to fear."
Every time he came, the baby AO would hide.
She knew the baby AO was afraid of Pei Jue.
Yet for her sake, the baby AO still threw itself at him without hesitation...
"Why did you kick it, what right do you have to kick it?" Feng Yun suddenly burst into flames of anger.
Bullying her baby AO made her even angrier than bullying her.
She pushed Pei Jue’s arm forcefully, her fury uncontainable, her eyes fixed on him like a bristling hedgehog.
Pei Jue didn’t really intend to kick the baby AO; his reflex was just that of a general’s instinctive response when under attack, and he had restrained himself in time...
But Pei Jue offered no excuse.
"Feng Family’s Ayun," Pei Jue said with reddened eyes, silent for a moment before bending down again, his palm cupping her back to pull her closer.
"If you don’t want to die, stop playing smart."
Feng Yun let out a cold laugh, staring straight into his eyes.
"I’m too dull to understand what you mean, General."
Pei Jue did not speak, his cold eyes full of frost.
Feng Yun’s hand pressed against his chest, "The incident occurred in Huaxi Village. Do you, General‚ conclude it was I, Feng Yun, who deliberately plotted harm? If you seek to blame, shouldn’t there be some evidence?"
She then smiled and raised her eyebrows, her dark pupils brimming with scorn: "I had thought those rumors were mere fabrications by the villagers, not to be taken seriously. Seeing the General in such a state, could it be the Empress Dowager indeed keeps a boy toy? That truly he is small and droopy, not enough to fill a hand, with a black mole and long whiskers? Has the General seen for himself, felt for himself, confirmed it all before coming to accuse me so ardently?"
"Feng Yun!" Pei Jue looked down at her, "Do you realize the nonsense you’re spouting?"
"What nonsense have I spoken? That the Empress Dowager keeps a boy toy, or that the General has seen and felt... Oh..."
Feng Yun’s insinuating words were not yet finished when her head was suddenly gripped tightly, leaving her no chance to resist; an almost ferocious kiss landed harshly on her.
His eyes were red with emotion, his touch ruthlessly forceful.
Feng Yun was somewhat angry; it had always been this way, whenever he could not outtalk her, his only move was to block her mouth...
Disgusting! Feng Yun struggled instinctively.
Lips wrestling...
Pei Jue grabbed her squirming body and held her tightly against him, his intense kiss was filled with excessive fury, like a blazing flame that quickly swallowed her breath...
Feng Yun couldn’t make a sound, helplessly collapsing in his embrace.
The two were silent, yet there was a kind of harmonious aura between them.
Pei Jue seemed to have anticipated this for a long time, her cherry lips with fatal seduction, confounding his mind, his face of abstinence, eyes burning, as if he wanted to crush her...
"Yao Yao..." he called in a moan-like low voice, as if souls were trembling together.
Feng Yun followed his breathing, her body quickly sinking in the scorching palm of his hand.
Pei Jue calling her Yao Yao and Wen Xingsu calling her had very different effects.
Wen Xingsu was warmth, childhood, and kinship. Pei Jue’s soft call was mixed with longing and entanglement; with every sound as if it could reach into her bones...
Feng Yun suddenly opened her eyes, her emotions receding from their intensity.
There was physical attraction, but no emotional connection.
She watched Pei Jue mockingly, without struggling, merely sneering.
Pei Jue was panting, facing those cold eyes, he slowly let go, then caught her wrists again, spreading them aside, forcing her entire body to lunge forward, leaning against him.
"Why can’t you behave yourself? Huh?"
Feng Yun turned her head away, not wanting to see his eyes, filled with lust, making her restless.
"General, this is framing," she said.
"Look at me." Pei Jue stared at her coldly, and seeing she wasn’t responding, he caught her chin and turned her face towards him.
"Answer me."
Daylight filtered through the window, illuminating Feng Yun’s face, stunning yet icy cold.
"Since the General has decided it’s me, then why don’t you kill me?"
She stretched out her snow-white neck to him in a mocking gesture.
But there wasn’t the slightest hint of fear on her face.
She was defiant and fearless.
That was the only thing Pei Jue could see.
Pei Jue’s fingertips tightened, Feng Yun’s head couldn’t turn, she could only meet his gaze, forced to accept the cold oppression emanating from deep within his dark pupils, "Don’t want to acknowledge your master anymore?"
A trace of warm breath fell on her face, Feng Yun’s rigid body was being pressed by him against his front, and because he was seated low, her face was almost against his abdomen.
"General, you are so unreasonable," Feng Yun scoffed, "Just because you consider yourself my master, does that mean you can casually lay charges against me? Blasphemy against the Empress Dowager is a capital offense!"
"So you know," Pei Jue replied gravely, his hands gripping her shoulders, slightly pushing her away, not letting her breath fall on his lower abdomen, "Do you think, with Changmen Academy’s mere twenty-plus members, they could withstand the Imperial Guards?"
Feng Yun struggled, "I said it has nothing to do with me. If Wei Zheng is looking for an opponent, he should look for someone who has seen the Empress Dowager’s body, perhaps... like you, General."
"Shut up!"
Pei Jue tightened his fingers and pushed down on her shoulders, toppling her onto the couch.
His action was not very rough; even in anger, he was careful with his strength, but Feng Yun was enraged, even his breathing was wrong to her...
The moment her back made contact with the couch, Feng Yun sprung up like an enraged leopard, grabbed him, and yanked him down.
Pei Jue, leaning forward, couldn’t stop his momentum, and his whole body pressed towards her.
Feng Yun, refusing to give up, flipped over, knelt down forcefully on him, using her knee to strike his tender spot, her furious and frantic demeanor like a lioness defending her territory, while the young alligator on the side was also rearing to go, roaring, ready to pounce on him.
Pei Jue wore light armor, making his movements slightly cumbersome; his eyelids drooped slightly, he didn’t resist, and let Feng Yun struck him hard several times.
But Feng Yun wasn’t satisfied by this, hitting as she pushed him onto the couch, then she collapsed on him in self-defeat, biting his slightly pursed lips, his firm chin, his sexy Adam’s apple, grabbing him to do as she pleased...
Pei Jue tilted his head back, his breathing heavy, his chest heaving violently, uncertain whether it was from discomfort or pleasure, he squeezed out another sound from his throat, "Yao Yao, let go..."
Feng Yun scoffed.
She swung herself across his waist, straddling him.
