The Soft-Hearted Wife of Mr. Big Shot-Chapter 104: Bella the Drama Queen

Diana Curtis and Bella Coleman were secretly plotting to make Holly Sawyer pay for a meal.

"I’m going to eat a lot."

Inside the hotpot restaurant, Diana Curtis kept flipping through the menu, marking items with her pen, casting sneaky glances at Holly Sawyer.

Eat a lot and really make Holly pay for it, even though Holly wasn’t short on money.

"Stop, no wasting."

Bella Coleman placed her hand on Diana’s and spoke slowly.

Though she also wanted to make Holly pay, ordering the most expensive items worked just fine; no need to over-order.

It’s wasteful if you don’t finish it all; buy as much as you’ll eat, that’s the good habit.

Her principle was she could enjoy expensive food, even at sky-high prices, but ordering too much was not okay, it’d lead to waste.

"Hotpot isn’t really expensive anyway."

Diana Curtis blinked at Bella and said with a slightly aggrieved expression.

A hotpot meal couldn’t really drain Holly’s wallet, which seemed quite a loss.

"Next time, you can aim for a pricey place."

Holly Sawyer smiled faintly and said slowly.

Bella and Diana themselves had asked for hotpot, and now they were complaining it was too cheap to really make her pay.

"Fine, next time I want to try that private kitchen place, the one in the north of town."

Diana licked her lips and said, that private kitchen had incredible flavors but came with shocking prices.

Should’ve asked Holly to treat them there instead of having hotpot, really, hotpot hardly dented Holly’s wallet.

"Alright."

Holly had no objections.

She had generally no opinions on food, as if she couldn’t afford it.

"Boss, any plans for the future?"

Bella asked.

Holly’s sudden change of relationship status caused quite a stir over at The Pantheon, leaving people wondering about her future plans.

Plans made alone are different from plans made for two.

"We’ll see when the time comes, I’ll return to Arkenfall."

Returning to Arkenfall was certain, no doubt about it, any plans for afterward could wait, there’s no rush now.

Leo’s home was in Arkenfall, her home was in Arkenfall.

"Boss, I feel like you eat more than me."

Diana looked at the table filled with dishes and said with great interest to Holly.

Though Holly seemed small, her appetite was genuinely enormous, eating a lot, yet the key was that she never got fat from eating.

"We can order more if there’s not enough."

Holly smiled without denying she ate a lot.

Being able to eat was a blessing, eating well wasn’t a bad thing.

"Luckily, Young Master Grant isn’t short on money, or you’d surely eat him poor, Boss."

Bella commented with a sigh, she loved countless gourmet dishes, but her stomach couldn’t handle large quantities, overfilling on a little left her stuffed.

She envied Holly’s ability to eat a lot.

During her visits to food streets, cravings for delicious dishes arose but overeating early on prevented enjoying new delicacies later.

That feeling was truly uncomfortable.

Wanting to eat, but her stomach capacity was limiting.

"Do I seem like a person who’s lacking love?"

Holly raised an eyebrow, looking at Bella with a half-smile, her lips displaying tenderness.

"Not really."

Bella hesitated a moment, shaking her head.

She didn’t quite grasp why Holly was suddenly asking this question, just a bit bewildered.

"That’s right."

Holly smiled faintly.

She wasn’t lacking money.

Bella remained puzzled, looking at Holly in confusion.

"Dummy."

Diana saw Bella’s confusion regarding Holly’s meaning and couldn’t help but scold her, instinctively knocking on Bella’s head.

It’s a bit useless not understanding this, really.

"If Leo runs out of money, I can support him."

Holly put a piece of beef tripe in the pot and slowly stated.

Whether Leo had money or not was irrelevant; she had the means to support him. However, Leo had more wealth than she did, negating the need for her support.

Bella: "..."

Massive PDA unfolding.

"Boss, check me out."

Suddenly, Bella was blinking at Holly eagerly, pointing at herself, filled with excitement.

"Hmm?"

What’s the matter?

"I’m not ugly, am I? Quite pretty, right?"

Bella cupped her cheeks with both hands, grinning obsequiously, looking a bit foolish.

Holly: "Mm."

Diana’s mouth involuntarily twitched, watching Bella quietly without saying a word.

She understood Bella better than Holly did; Holly didn’t get what Bella meant, but she knew.

She felt that Bella was shameless.

"So, Boss, why not support me? I can act cute, play along, can be sweet or spicy, and I can be coy too."

Bella blinked at Holly, eyes full of laughter, very much like a flunky.

"Sorry, I can’t afford to."

Holly raised an eyebrow, denying Bella any face.

"Boss, waa waa waa." 𝓯𝓻𝒆𝙚𝒘𝓮𝙗𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝒍.𝙘𝓸𝙢

Bella pretended to reach for a tissue, seemingly ready to wipe her tears, looking thoroughly wronged.

Instantly turning into a drama queen.

"Hahaha!" Diana couldn’t help laughing, rocking back and forth.

It was quite entertaining, indeed.

"Crying won’t help, you don’t meet the criteria."

Holly’s lips wore a smile as she spoke slowly.

"What are the criteria? I can try to change, surely meet the standards."

Bella blinked, looking at Holly with anticipation.

Holly, being wealthy, became someone she desperately wanted to latch onto, waa waa waa.

Holly, half-smiling, looked at Bella: "Gender alone rules you out."

"Love isn’t bound by age, height, weight, or appearance, and gender shouldn’t be a strict barrier either."

Bella the drama queen grasped Holly’s hand, looking utterly wronged yet eyes filled with hopeful anticipation.

Waa waa waa, not wanting to strive harder, instead wanted a wealthy woman to support her, Holly seemed perfect.

Though she wasn’t into women, she could reluctantly change her sexual orientation, this wasn’t a big issue.

"Get out."

Holly rolled her eyes at Bella, almost wanting to kick her, just quite irksome.

"Becky, you’ve been reading too many BL novels, your mind’s never in the right place."

Diana chuckled, covering her mouth.

Bella had been engrossed in BL novels lately, the side-effect being she got overly excited seeing two guys close together.

A particularly amusing exchange went like this:

"There’s two handsome guys over there."

"Oh."

"They’re holding hands."

"Whoa, where, where!"

Bella was in this stage now, usually a bit of a fangirl, and still got thrilled seeing handsome guys, but spotting two guys together had her eyes lighting up.
