Chapter 433: The Beginning Of The End [XCV]

’...Phew.’

Aestrea took a deep breath and closed his eyes.

『 ✯ Odin’s Left Eye ✯ 』

As he reopened them, his left eye changed.

The pupil widened, iris fracturing into layered rings of light, ancient and heavy, like a sky filled with overlapping constellations.

The world slowed down.

And now... in his eyes, the world was dissected.

Lines appeared everywhere.

Threads of cause, points of edit, invisible rules stitched into space itself.

Aestrea saw how the Creation God wrote outcomes, how the spear acted as the pen, how every rewritten result flowed through a precise sequence of thought → authority → execution.

He saw tiny delaysl almost nothing, but that nothing was still something.

『 ✹ Lunar Dragon Void Right Eye ✹』

At the same time, his right eye darkened, the moon-shaped pupil sharpening into a cruel vertical slit.

His killing intent condensed, no longer a feeling, but a pressure, forming like a blade behind his gaze.

The air screamed faintly.

The Creation God took an involuntary step back.

"...What did you do?"

Aestrea ignored him and activated his last needed triumph card.

『 ✯ Moon Mark ✯ 』

His heart thundered.

Power surged through his veins, but instead of the moon mark appearing on his eyes like before, it appeared right in the middle of his forehead.

A full moon... with half being black, and the other half being white.

Frost crawled across the ground from his feet, spreading in delicate patterns that rang softly like glass bells.

Crack... tinkle... tinkle...

The moonlight above bent unnaturally, gathering behind him, forming the faint outline of a massive crescent.

Aestrea raised Midnight.

"Moonlit Ice Lotus Sword Art..."

The Creation God snarled and thrust his spear forward.

"Outcome: Your next attack...!"

...It was already too late.

First Move! (✦ Ice Lotus Bloom ✦) 』

FWOOSH!

Aestrea vanished in a burst of freezing mist. A lotus of ice exploded outward where he had stood, petals slicing through rewritten space.

The spear pierced nothing as Aestrea reappeared at the man’s flank.

CLANG!

Midnight struck.

The Creation God barely blocked, sparks flying as frost crawled up the spear shaft.

"—MISSED?!" the man barked in surprise.

But that wasn’t enough to do anything against Aestrea, as he knew was in the perfect position for a follow-up.

Second Move! (✦ Ice Lotus Barrage ✦) 』

Shing, shing, shing!

Dozens of crescent slashes erupted in rapid succession, hammering the Creation God from every angle.

Barriers formed, shattered, and finally reformed, except that each one was weaker than the last.

Crack! Crack! Crack!

"Why are you barrier getting weaker?" Aestrea muttered, his eyes glowing with a deep amount of killing intent.

"Are you perhaps... out of energy, already? If so... how pitiful is your wife? Do you perhaps want me to accompany her?"

The Creation God roared and slammed his spear down.

BOOOOOOOM!

"Outcome: Collapse!"

The ground inverted, and seeing this, Aestrea stepped right into it, causing the Creation God’s eyes to be filled with complete confusion, since that was an obvious trap.

Third Move! (✦ Moonlight’s One Flash ✦) 』

Aestrea crouched down, getting into the perfect position before vanishing away from the god’s eyes.

FWIP!

SPLURT!

The Creation God’s chest split open in a thin line of frost, blood spraying as he staggered backward.

"How?!"

At the same time, Aestrea, who was already behind him because of the speed contained in that move, jumped and twisted his body mid-air.

Fourth Move! (✯ Lunar Collapse ✯) 』

BOOOOOOM!

Gravity folded inward around the Creation God, crushing space into a frozen sphere. His spear screamed as reality bent under pressure.

"NOO!! REWRITE, DAMMIT!"

The sphere shattered, causing Aestrea’s lips to curl up.

Fifth Move! (✯ Thousand-Lotus Guillotine ✯) 』

Fwip, fwip, fwip!

A storm of descending blades fell from above, each one carrying killing intent sharp enough to carve fate itself.

"FUUUUUUUUCK!"

The Creation God raised his blue spear and started spinning it, trying to defend against as many blows as he could take from Aestrea

And like that, the spear managed to block three hundred blows...

Until the three hundred and one, cut right through it.

CRACK!!!

The blue spear shattered into fragments of light.

The Creation God froze.

His authority unraveled as his eyes widened in pure disbelief.

"My... spear...?"

He looked at the sky and suddenly noticed that the moon seemed to have gotten closer to him, to the point of making him blankly stare at it.

And suddenly, above him, Aestrea appeared, and the moonlight seemed to have deepened as it shone on his figure.

The light changed, growing heavier, denser, as if the sky itself was sinking.

Frost gathered on Midnight, not forming sharp edges now, but thick layers, like ice forming on a deep lake during a dead winter night.

Sixth Move! (✯ Moonlight Descent ✯) 』

"Fuuuu..."

Aestrea exhaled deeply as the ground beneath him froze solid, spreading outward in a wide circle, the sound low and deep.

Krrrrrrrk...

He lifted Midnight high above his head.

The blade drew in moonlight like a tide pulled toward a cliff, and in a small instant... he descended to the ground.

FWOOOOOM!

The impact shook the sealed region.

A pillar of frost exploded upward, swallowing the Creation God whole. Ice rushed into every wound, every vein, every thought.

The man screamed, but the sound died halfway out of his mouth, trapped in crystal.

His authority tried to rise, but he couldn’t use it.

His eyes rolled back as his body slammed into the earth, locked beneath layers of frozen pressure.

The ground sank inward under him, forming a wide, shallow crater lined with ice that shone pale blue.

’...No notifications?’

Aestrea frowned slighly as the moon mark on his forehead slowly faded away.

He took a step forward and waved his hand to clear out the cold smoke, just to see the Creation God lying down in the crater, frozen, cracked, barely holding form.

A faint green light wrapped around him, pulsing weakly, stitching flesh and bone back together over and over again.

"Ugh..."

Seeing this, Aestrea raised Midnight slightly, then lowered the blade tip until it pointed at the man’s chest.

Bleed

The Creation God’s body convulsed the instant the word settled into the world.

"AAAAAAHHHHHHH!"

The scream ripped out of him without control, as blood began to seep from every place his body had been damaged.

It slid out of torn skin, leaked from reopened fractures, poured from wounds that had no right to exist anymore.

His green light flared wildly, panic filling it as flesh closed again, bones pulled back together, nerves reformed.

And then they tore apart again.

"No no no no NOOOO!" he screamed, head thrashing from side to side as his throat burned raw.

"STOP IT! PLEASE! STOP!"

Aestrea did not move.

The healing surged faster, desperate to keep him alive, but each time it worked, the pain returned worse, deeper, wider.

Muscles rebuilt only to split apart.

Skin sealed only to tear open again. His hands clawed at the frozen ground, fingers snapping against the ice, nails ripping free.

"IT HURTS! IT HURTS! MAKE IT STOP!" he wailed, voice cracking into sobs. "I CAN FIX WORLDS! I CAN GIVE YOU ANYTHING! PLEASE!"

Aestrea stepped closer, the frost crunching under his boots.

Bleed

The command twisted deeper this time.

Pain reached beyond the surface, dragging every injury he had ever suffered back into the present.

His old fractures from decades of years ago screamed, and the scars from previous battles suddenly ripped open.

The damage kept layering on damage until his body shook without rhythm, breath stuttering, and his eyes rolling until the back of his head.

"AAAHHHHHHHHH!" he shrieked, saliva spilling from his mouth as his jaw trembled uncontrollably.

"I BEG YOU! I BEG YOU! I WILL SERVE YOU! I WILL ERASE MYSELF! JUST STOP!"

The green light surged harder, frantic now, rebuilding him faster than ever. It healed without rest, without pause, without mercy.

Each second of healing only fed the next wave of agony. There was no relief, no moment of quiet, no gap where his mind could escape.

Aestrea watched him break.

"I c-cannot t-think, sniff...!" the Creation God literally.

"I cannot b-breathe. P-PLEASE. PLEASE. I YIELD. I Y-YIELD. I YIIIEEELLLDDDDDDD, I REALLLY DOOOOOOO!!!"

Aestrea lowered his sword slightly and looked down at him.

"You deserve it."

At those words, the Creation God shook harder, whole body spasming as the healing light around him flickered in panic.

His teeth clattered so loud they sounded like cracking stone.

Drip, drip...

Tears streamed freely now, mixed with blood, running down his face and freezing against the ground beneath him.

"I AM SORRY! I AM TRULLLYYYY SORRYYYY! PLEASE! I WILL FIX IT! I WILL GIVE EVERYTHING BACK! I SWEAR!"

His hands clawed at his own chest, fingers digging into skin that split open and healed again and again, the green light fighting to keep pace.

His breath came in short, broken gasps, each one ending in a sob or a scream.

"MAKE IT STOP! I CANNOT TAKE THIS ANYMORE! I CANNOT THINK! I CANNOT FEEL ANYTHING BUT PAIN!"

Aestrea did not answer and simply raised his sword.

Bleed

The command crushed what little order remained inside the man’s body.

SPLUUUUUUUURT!

Every wound reopened at once.

Not bursting, not spraying, but tearing wider, stretching further, pulling pain from places even memory tried to forget.

His back arched so hard a sick crack echoed through the frozen crater.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!"

The scream ripped his throat raw. His voice broke, turned hoarse, then shattered into nothing but air and agony.

"PLEASE! PLEASE! I DO NOT WANT TO EXIST LIKE THIS! I DO NOT WANT TO LIVE ANYMORE!"

The green light surged again, frantic, forced to work faster, rebuilding nerves while they screamed, sealing organs while they burned.

His eyes went unfocused, and eventually, laughter burst out suddenly, thin and wrong, then twisted into crying so violent his whole body shook.

"I GET IT! I GET IT NOW! THIS IS WHAT I DID TO THEM! THIS IS WHAT I WROTE!"

He slammed his head against the ice, once, twice, leaving streaks of blood that froze on impact.

"ENOUGH! I GIVE UP! I GIVE UP EVERYTHING!"

Aestrea looked at him, raising an eyebrow.

The Creation God’s hands plunged deeper, fingers trembling as they reached something glowing inside him.

A faint, pulsing core, green and unstable, beating like a terrified heart.

’...His god’s source? What does he want to...’

CRACK!

The green light exploded inward, folding into itself.

"HAHAHAHHAA, I DON’T HAVE TO SUFFER ANYMORE!!!!"

The healing stopped instantly, and after that crazied laugh, his body went limp as the power that held him together vanished.

Chill...

The frost crept over him without resistance, sealing his face mid-sob.

"...He killed himself, how original..."

Aestrea lowered his sword and turned away, as there was nothing more to do in that place, except sealing it for the fourth time.

He was a little... wary, after all, they had sent a strong 8✯ True God... would they actually send a stronger one?

If they did... Aestrea really would need to go berserk.
