The Swapped Master's Bride And Her Bad Luck System.-Chapter 57: The system hosts of One city.
Manman was confused. Not because Weijun’s people fell inside but because he had opened the door. What did he mean by that?
Without sparing a glance at his people who were acting ridiculous, he said stiffly to Manman, "You need to go now. I still have work to do. Do not return here unless it is a matter of great importance."
Manman sneered. The action was quick, almost unnoticed by everyone but Cross. She said to Weijun, "She has not been married to you for a month and already Aunts Biao and Manli have been kicked out of the house. Now, you are saying that I have changed." She tilted her head to the side and chuckled. "You are wrong Weijun, I am not the one that has changed." She raised her eyes to his, from across the table. "You have not even told her who you are and already you are pushing an old friend aside for her."
Weijun did not respond.
Manman nodded slowly. Her gut was telling her that it was time to go. She needed to spend sometime without seeing Weijun. She needed to go back to acting or at least enter the spotlight again and remind the world of how much they once loved her. When he realized that he missed her and she could live without him, he would regret acting like this and come looking for her.
She turned and left.
"Where we were?" Weijun asked, looking at Cross coldly.
They all got the message, he did not want to talk about Manman.

Liwu received a picture of Manman leaving City hall. She glanced at it and put her phone down. She refused to let something like that bother her. She was sitting behind a computer, armed with a headset and a cup of lukewarm coffee.
She was one of thirty officers under the open tent on the beach which was serving as a registration point for System hosts in One city. The venue had been chosen by Chief Abby because he thought the breeze and sand would make everyone relax.
Registering new system hosts was a risky and tedious task often. Being outside reduced both of those problems.
"Name and system?" She said to the old woman sitting across from her.
The old woman who looked close to one hundred puffed her chest. "Hua Nianwei. Host of the ’Ultimate Romantic Background Music System.’"
Liwu’s fingers paused. "Explain," she said, already regretting it.
Nianwei snapped her fingers. Suddenly, the beach was filled with the sound of a thousand violins playing a melody that made everyone stop and smile. "I help couples create a romantic atmosphere when a man or woman needs to propose. My music also enhances emotions and causes confessions of love between two people that are too afraid to say what is in their hearts."
Liwu typed all this into the computer. She included it in the potentially chaotic box. Then, she filled in the age and address of the host, matching the information to what already existed in relation to the social security number.
"Next." She called, in a bored voice.
A burly man walked over, carrying a sack that was filled with rocks.
"Name and system?" Liwu asked and took a sip of coffee. She assumed the man had a system related to strength. With all those muscles, it was not hard to guess.
"Zhao Wei. I have a ’Rock Collection System.’"
Liwu put down the cup. "Rock collection!"
Zhao nodded. He looked very proud of his system. "I am a geologist, university professor too. My system may seem silly but thanks to it, I discovered a trilobite fossil. The most complete trilobite specimen in the world. I sold it for twelve million and wrote a book about it.
I also discovered a high quality jade mine whose location will be revealed next week to the highest bidder and two years ago, I unearthed a large iron-nickel meteorite that will someday help researchers understand the early solar system.
So yes, I don’t have a cultivation system or werewolf system or ocean system but my little rock collection system has accomplished big things too."
Liwu nodded. "Then congratulations Mr. Zhao. I hope you are aware that you will be paying taxes to the Bureau for all those transactions you have made. The financial department will be in touch with you."
Mr. Zhao blinked. "Wait, what?"
Liwu filled in the rest of his information from an ID he had given to her. She looked over his shoulder and shouted, "Next."
Mr. Zhao looked reluctant to leave. He was obviously unwilling to pay those taxes.
"If you have any questions, contact the Bureau’s help department. I am just a registration minion." Liwu claimed.
Mr. Zhao grunted, picked up his sack and walked off. His boots kicked more sand than necessary.
A teenager that was giggling endlessly sat before Liwu. "Hi, I am Cheun Beibei, I have the ’Infinite Excuse Generator System.’"
There was something about systems and egos which went hand in hand. Most systems had the words ’Infinite, Super and Ultimate’ added to their titles.
Liwu thought about that as she leaned back in the chair and buried her toes in the sand. "What does it do?"
"I have a flawless alibi for everything." Beibei whispered.
Liwu nodded. "The Bureau will have to warn your school and your parents. At the age of fourteen, you don’t need alibis."
That killed the giggling. The girl walked off in a huff, muttering something about the Bureau ruining fun.
Another old woman slid into the chair. She was too eager to talk that she started before Liwu even asked a question. "I have the ’Super Mahjong Luck Manipulation System.’" She slammed two mahjong tiles on the table. "I have not lost a game in six years." She leaned forward. "Do you want to play?"
Liwu shook her head. "With your luck, you would clean me up." It said so in her system, it manipulated the game. While it was all fun and games, in a game where money was involved, the old woman was practically cheating others. It was a crime that fell in the gray area. 𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦
So, Liwu flagged it red. Someone would have to keep an eye on the old woman.
"Next." She called out after filling in the information.
A woman sat down. Her aura was calm but intense, like a seasoned business man. "I am Dr. Qiao, host of the ’Perfect Surgery System’." She stood up. "I have a surgery in twenty minutes. If you need any other information, you can reach me at the Lotus Medical Innovation Hospital.
Liwu filled in the woman’s age and address and gestured for her to leave. The Bureau was already aware of Dr. Qiao and the other two doctors in the city with systems like her.
At another desk, a man belted out a pop song that half of the people there were familiar with. Suddenly, everyone, including Liwu joined him.
But quickly, she covered her mouth. That host had a karaoke system. He could force anyone to sing at any time! Liwu sighed tiredly. No wonder it was hard to maintain public order in this city, half of the systems were chaos enhancers.
A woman with the most beautiful teeth sat across from Liwu. "Hello, I am Haocun, please don’t scream." She leaned forward and whispered. "I am the host of the World Destruction System."
Liwu sat up, suddenly attentive.
Haocun whispered rapidly. "But it only works on Mondays and I swear, all my devices fail. It is like I am cursed to fail or something."
