The Sword Emperor Transmigrates-Message from the TSET team
Message from the TSET team
Castor:
Thank you for reading and supporting The Sword Emperor Transmigrates. This series was a heck of a ride, and I hope you enjoyed it! This was an enormous undertaking, and I never could have done it without such an amazing team. No seriously, my Mindscape might have collapsed with the countless names, abilities, and hanja we had to keep track of.
First of all, thank you to my wonderful co-translator Nekogami. There were so many challenges to this series, least of which was the constant barrage of hanja and obscure lore. So many discussions to be had! By the end of it, we were both becoming proficient in traditional Chinese...
Reckeva, thank you for always being so thoughtful and meticulous in your edits and tolerating my clumsy prose. This was my first translation project after an extended hiatus, and it really showed in the beginning haha. However, your many suggestions really helped me (and the story!) take off. Seriously, some of the first drafts are utterly unrecognizable from the final versions, and I mean that in the best way.
Square Tom, even though you joined the team in the middle of the story, you took everything in stride. Sometimes I had trouble understanding what was going on and I was here from the very beginning...but when we were feeling worn down, your optimism was uplifting.
Most of all, thank you to Namu. As everyone else said, you really were the beating heart of the team. From your deadline reminders to your wisecracks, you helped us all stay sane and keep the project on track. On a personal note, thank you for being so supportive and accommodating when my medical issues came up. I know I’ve said this to you before, but all of us really, truly appreciate you.
And of course, thank you to our wonderful readers for joining us on this journey.
Nekogami:
Annyeong everyone! This is your favourite(I hope?) cat-loving translator, Nekogami.
Thank you for taking the time to read The Sword Emperor Transmigrates! I’d like to give a big shoutout to the dream team who made this translation possible—without them, this project might’ve spiraled into chaos faster than a cat discovering the joys of a laptop keyboard.
Reckeva and Square Tom, your edits were absolutely clutch. From catching the tiniest inconsistencies to making sure Leonard didn’t randomly change eye color mid-chapter, your sharp eyes kept the story smooth and immersive. You truly saved us from more than one near-catastrophe (and at least three metaphors and filler texts gone rogue).
Castor, co-translating this with you was an adventure all on its own. Whether we were deciphering obscure martial arts terms or puzzling over whether a term should sound cool or cultish, you brought insight and endless patience to every step of the process. I couldn’t have asked for a better partner in this!
And finally, Namu, thank you for being the glue that held us all together. From deadline reminders to last-minute fire drills, you kept everything running like a well-oiled sword sheath. Your support behind the scenes made all the difference—and probably saved us from becoming a group of over-caffeinated hermits.
Reckeva:
Hi, everybody! Thank you for reading The Sword Emperor Transmigrates. As one of the editors, I take great pleasure in catching typos and making sentences flow better for you, at least I hope they’re better, haha. At times, I squirmed in excitement when Leonard pummeled his foes, and at others, my head swirled with words and commas. Sometimes, I even confused myself, so I’d like to send my heartfelt thanks to the team who kept me sensible.
I want to thank our two translators, the cat-loving geek Nekogami and the cat-loving non-geek Castor, for not only translating the story but also explaining sentences and sanity-checking my edits. After all, “Let’s eat Grandpa” is different from “Let’s eat, Grandpa,” not that Leonard would want to eat his grandpa if he had one, but how am I to know that?
There’s also Square Tom, my editor-in-arms who rescued me from being crushed by the story’s sheer amount of words; and Penguin, who was always somehow there to either drop a joke or be the voice of truth.
I send a big special thanks to Namu, whose team-coordination skills are in the Deification Tier and who has provided help whenever I most needed it. Without Namu, I could not have made it to the end with everyone.
To all our readers, I award you a gold medal for making it through all my edits alive. Jokes aside, I hope you found The Sword Emperor Transmigrates a pleasant read and enjoyed it as much as I had. Now that it’s finished, I’m going to miss it.
Square Tom:
Even though my job demands that I know quite a bit of vocabulary, I can never quite find the right words to offer at the end of a story. My journey with this novel began in Atlantis, with Leonard and Frances pondering strategy for the upcoming expeditions. Now, I imagine myself standing on the deck of the Aquamarine, getting ready to say goodbye to everyone. I am thrilled to have finally reached the finish line, but I can’t help longing for one last expedition with the Aquamarine squad, one final sparring session with the Cardenas commanders, one more epic, do-or-die moment with Leonard.
It has also been a pleasure and an honor to work with this amazing team on The Sword Emperor Transmigrates. Before we turn the final page, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to each member for allowing me to embark on this epic—but also arduous—journey. freewebnøvel.com
I thank Nekogami and Castor for their exceptional translations and their valiant patience whenever I was crashing out and not making any sense. I thank Reckeva for helping me find my footing upon landing in Atlantis, and Penguin for coming to the rescue with his boundless knowledge, saving us from succumbing to qi deviation.
Also, I wish to thank Namu for keeping us all from crumbling, and especially for taking care of my, let’s say, less-than-stellar edits (and also for being effortlessly funny). It is no exaggeration to say that Namu was the heart of The Sword Emperor Transmigrates.
Lastly, I am infinitely grateful to all our readers who have joined Leonard on his epic journey, and I do hope we have been able to deliver an experience that will remain, at least partially, in your hearts.
